It may not be a crime, but leaving a rifle behind in a rental car could be dangerous.Lauren Tannehill, wife of Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, turned in a rental car, but forgot to remove an AR-15 rifle from the back seat. The weapon was found by the next rental customer, a woman from New York, who turned it into police.“This is certainly the kind of item you don’t want to forget anywhere, but forgetting isn’t a crime,” said Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion.According to a BSO report, Lauren Tannehill, 26, rented a Nissan Rogue from E-Z Rent-A-Car on

My question is...what´s the wife of an NFL QB doing renting a car from EZ car rental...for two hours. She can´t afford Hertz?

Did she leave it in there as a gift to the next person that rented that vehicle?
If so, what a nice gesture!

There is something wrong with this story.

A two-hour rental? Was there something wrong with the car?

And the rifle was left in a case on the rear seat? When she turned the car in to the agency, they did not go over the car before renting it to another customer? Standard procedure to determine condition, damage, clean it, etc.

Customer #2 may be another like the waitress who wrote the racial slur on a dinner check.

Umm, a 2 hour rentalis certainly plausible. Maybe she did not want her personal car to be seen at the range. Maybe there is a fan thing involved; or maybe someone is uspet with Hubby´s performance.

Frankly, if the tool was unloaded I see no reason to make such a big deal out of it.

#15 brings up a curious point: regardless of the length of the rental, it´s obvious the rental staff didn´t even bother to check out the vehicle prior to renting it again. That´s just bad news all the way around.

I note in the video a couple of comments:

"...Tannehill, who is a model..."
And this is relevant to the story? Mediots.

They also note that the rifle "... is registered in Ryan Tannehill´s name..."

Florida requires gun registration? Since when? How did a news organization come to learn this information?

That´s far more troubling to me than a forgetful spouse.

The Koch brothers have a seemingly bottomless pot of cash this election year — and no one knows it better than Sen. Kay Hagan. Americans for Prosperity, a group co-founded by the conservative billionaires, has already dropped $8.2 million on TV, radio and digital ads in an effort to defeat the North Carolina Democrat. According to sources tracking media buys, the group has so far spent more in North Carolina than all Democratic outside groups in every Senate race in the country — combined.

Richmond, Va. — A federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld a 2012 court ruling that North Carolina´s decision to issue special anti-abortion license plates is unconstitutional because the state doesn´t offer similar plates supporting abortion rights. In a unanimous ruling, a three-judge panel of the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the proposed "Choose Life" plates represent "blatant viewpoint discrimination squarely at odds with the First Amendment. "The decision upholds a December 2012 ruling by U.S. District Judge James Fox in Raleigh, which came 13 months after he blocked the state from issuing the plates while a lawsuit by the American Civil Liberties Union was pending.

There´s no doubt the vast majority of Republicans in Congress would repeal Obamacare if they could. Most GOP "alternative" bills begin with a clause to repeal the Affordable Care Act before proceeding to outline new policies to put in its place. Of course, GOP lawmakers don´t have any hope of actually repealing the law as long as Barack Obama, and his veto pen, are in the White House. Now some Republicans are looking at what might be done to undo as much as possible of the Democrats´ national health care scheme without actually repealing it. Some Arizonans who secured health coverage through the federal marketplace are now finding that their new plans drastically limit the providers they can use. Metro Phoenix and Tucson residents who signed up for plans with so-called narrow networks have discovered fewer options for primary-care doctors, specialists, hospitals, pharmacies, labs and clinics. And some rural Arizonans purchasing the least-expensive plan in their communities have discovered that the nearest participating doctor is 200 miles away. Insurers and brokers acknowledge that some consumers are confused by the narrow networks, a strategy health insurers embrace to lower costs.

Powerful winds in the Pacific Ocean, which have driven surface heat deep underwater, could be the reason behind the current ‘pause’ in global warming. This is according to a joint Australian and U.S. study which has looked at why there has been a slowdown in the planet’s global average surface temperature over the past decade. Their research shows that trade winds in central and eastern parts of the Pacific have caused warm surface water to sink to the ocean´s depths, reducing the amount of heat in the atmosphere.
