GOP Congressional Candidate:
Spousal Rape Shouldn´t Be a Crime

Mother Jones, by Molly Redden

Original Article

After taking a drubbing in last year´s state elections, Virginia Republicans are debating whether their party has come to be defined by its extremists. But in a congressional district in Northern Virginia, one of the state´s main instigators of culture warfare, state Sen. Richard H. "Dick" Black, is running in the Republican primary to replace longtime GOP moderate Rep. Frank Wolf, who is retiring. And he´s guaranteed to ignite wedge-issue passion. Exhibit A: As a state legislator, Black opposed making spousal rape a crime, citing the impossibility of convicting a husband accused of raping his wife "when they´re living together,

It is worth noting that his objection to the spousal rape law was based on the opinion that it is impossible to prove the charge beyond a reasonable doubt, not on the opinion that spousal rape is OK.

Good point #2. Kind of like charging your lawn maintenance company with trespassing because they showed up on Thursday, instead of the regular schedule of Tuesday.

Lefties never miss the opportunity to twist the truth for their benefit.

Wow, Mother Jones and Molly Redden. My first thought was, ´I wonder if there is any chance this article is either biased or outright untruthful,´ so I read it. Lo and Behold, I find both!

Let´s start with the headline. Senator Black did not say that spousal rape shouldn´t be a crime, he said that he didn´t see how it could be fairly prosecuted. What was not included in this article is that the Senator did vote for the legislation after assuring himself that it would not be easy to abuse the law. What a nut!

And he is clearly an extremist since he opposes abortion. Allowing Virginians to purchase "Choose Life" license plates? Oh, my! By the way, Mother Jones or Ms. Redden might want to do a little fact checking on their claims that an increase in the risk of breast cancer in women who have had abortions, and pain response in a 20 week old fetus are not medically supported.

Let´s see, what else did this whacko do? Oh yes, he supported legislation to put respectful attitudes - or at least speech - back into the classroom. *gasp!*

In order to demonstrate why libraries should block pornography on their computers, he took a TV reporter to show him what was possible to view on a library terminal. He did not ´watch violent rape porn´. I would say shame on you, Ms. Redden, but I doubt it would do any good.

There is more but I will let those of you with the stomach for it find it for yourselves. I will give you the money quote, though.

A not-so-conservative Republican nominee may be key to keeping the seat in Republican hands.

Nice of Mother Jones to be looking out for our interests.

Even if what #2 says is true, republicans MUST be aware of what they are saying and how their words will be spun. Regardless, this candidate is either naive a screaming moron or both.

The communists know that they cant beat republicans on foreign policy, economics or defense. They can, however, and do beat us by appealing to the "feelings" of the hopelessly moronic. Every republican knows, or should know this. Every republican running for office or holding a position should proceed knowing this and work diligently to NOT give the Marxists ammunition.

A Beaumont man was cited by police after riling up motorists by standing at an intersection carrying an AK-47 while dressed as a banana. Derek Poe, owner of Golden Triangle Tactical gun shop, said the stunt was part of the store´s grand opening after moving locations. Poe said the man in the banana suit was holding an AK-47 across his back with the barrel pointing down and holding a sign with an arrow pointing toward the store. He said this idea was to attract customers to the store. A Beaumont police spokesperson said officers temporarily detained the 18-year-old and found he had the rifle

In a new poll, she would lose a head-to-head contest with Democrat Hillary Clinton, 44 percent to 43 percent. Worse, she doesn´t even lead among those considering a GOP primary bid. Sen. Powerful winds in the Pacific Ocean, which have driven surface heat deep underwater, could be the reason behind the current ‘pause’ in global warming. This is according to a joint Australian and U.S. study which has looked at why there has been a slowdown in the planet’s global average surface temperature over the past decade. Their research shows that trade winds in central and eastern parts of the Pacific have caused warm surface water to sink to the ocean´s depths, reducing the amount of heat in the atmosphere.
