UN climate chief: Communism
is best to fight global warming

Daily Caller, by Michael Bastasch

Original Article

United Nations climate chief Christiana Figueres said that democracy is a poor political system for fighting global warming. Communist China, she says, is the best model.(snip) Figueres added that the deep partisan divide in the U.S. Congress is “very detrimental” to passing any sort of legislation to fight global warming. The Chinese Communist Party, on the other hand, can push key policies and reforms all on its own. The country’s national legislature largely enforces the decisions made by the party’s Central Committee and other executive offices. Communism was responsible for the deaths of about 94 million people in China, the Soviet Union,

Most LDotters have known for a long time that Green policies are at bottom Red, with the same objectives, only dressed up in ecological garments to fool the hoi polloi. Green policies are a politically "acceptable" way to rob the First World--not to enrich the wretched masses, but to do what communism invariably does, which is to make political insiders richer than most drug barons. Little matter, the money sucked out of productive uses is effectively stolen.

The brightest light in satellite photos of the world at night are the flares in Russia. Flares are a good thing if they are a temporary solution until collection lines can be built. Temporary should be months not years.

The huge brown cloud coming out of China has been determined by carbon dating to be trash. A coal power plant burning low sulfur coal would be a massive improvement.

The US is the only country to actually reduce green house gas emissions. Not because of a government program but because entrepreneurs have figured out how to release oil and gas from tight rock formations. Flaring in TX has increased with drilling but is still only for months.

The fact that the UN is populated by Communist thinking membership is a surprise? That the environmental movement is Communist at its core? It shouldn´t be. One of the founders of Greenpeace left because he said it had been taken over by Communists. The focus of the environmental movement is to destroy Capitalism using any means necessary. Environment is just a convenient rock to throw.

We should recognize the UN for the fraud that it is and kick it out.

How does the Republican Party establishment choose its presidential candidate? Typically, constitutionalists accuse their establishment rivals of being moderate, risk-averse, stubborn old fools who lack faith in conservative principles. This is a soothing interpretation, as it begins from the hypothesis that the contest between conservatives and the GOP elite is a family feud. But there is another hypothesis -- less soothing, but, at least from an outsider´s bird´s-eye view, more reconcilable with the facts. This hypothesis is that America has reached a stage of progressive soft despotism in which the only important family feud in national politics is between the fundamentally

My first published column was in a local paper opposing the Equal Rights Amendment for the same reasons that Phyllis Schlafly, a conservative lawyer, campaigned on. As ambiguously written, the ERA, would eliminate the men-only draft requirement, repeal protective laws like sexual assault and eliminate the tendency for mothers to obtain custody over their children in divorce cases. Ironically, one of the arguments that helped sink the amendment from ratification was the fear that single-sex bathrooms would no longer be permitted. In addition, opponents of the amendment also warned that it would lead to abortion on demand and same-sex marriages.
