Senate report: Attack on U.S. compound
in Benghazi could have been prevented

Washington Post, by Adam Goldman and Anne Gearan

Original Article

Posted By:toledo, 1/15/2014 10:04:30 AM

A long-delayed Senate intelligence committee report released on Wednesday spreads blame among the State Department and intelligence agencies for not preventing an attack at an outpost in Libya that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. The bipartisan report lays out more than a dozen findings regarding the Sept. 11, 2012 assault on the diplomatic compound in the Libyan city of Benghazi. It says the State Department failed to increase security at the compound despite warnings, and faults intelligence agencies for not sharing information about the existence of a secret CIA outpost at the site.

The WaPoo headline writers know how to make an important report sound stupid.

And from a Dem controlled Senate, no less.

Dem Senators are smart enough to know that this was a 100% State/Executive branch problem and they want distance on this issue.

This is proof that Hillary neglected her duty as Sec. of State. It happened on her watch. Someone tell her that it makes a lot of difference. Would she have sent her own daughter into Benghazi without security. She doesn´t even walk across a street in America without security. These power hungry people make me sick.

How about telling us what the CIA was doing there. What about the Turkish ambassador´s visit that night prior to the attack? Turkey was supplying arms to the Syrian rebels (i.e. al Qaeda).

This is it. We are now supposed to be satisfied. Blame to go around. Sorry, ain´t happening.

I´m sure any report in the WP isn´t even close to the truth. I doubt the intelligence agencies did any thing wrong, and that its 100% Hillary and Obama´s plan that may have gone wrong, or maybe it was their plan to get rid of some on Hillary´s list.

The account sheds little light on the most politicized aspect of the incident — questions about whether the Obama administration deliberately played down the terrorist origins of the attacks.

Au contraire: We already know that an amateur video was blamed AFTER the attack, which means the excuse was planned IN ADVANCE of the attack. We also know that not a single person has been held responsible to date. No one.

Of course the Administration "played down the terrorist origins" of the attacks because to admit it would be to admit that indeed the "attack on U.S. compound in Benghazi could have been prevented", in which case Hillary and Obama would be blamed.

So while the WaPo actually reports this Senate finding, they are still making excuses for POTUS and H-Rod by saying it sheds little light on whether the attack was
"deliberately played down".

Susan Rice, Hillary "What difference does it make" Clinton and the rest were sent out there to lie about a video and to shut their mouths about refusing to protect or rescue our people.

FTA: “But it took six more days for intelligence officials to revise their chronology of events and say that “there were no demonstrations or protests” at the diplomatic compound “prior to the attacks.”

IIRC there were reports that the revision of the “narrative” from the intelligence agencies was because White House “officials” didn’t want any details that would question the video protest cover-up.

The article also mentions that the Senate Intel Comm interviewed survivors of Benghazi. Why were they there? What was the purpose of the compound in Benghazi? Where and what was Obama doing that night that he couldn’t be bothered to help? Where and what was Hillary! doing that night that she couldn’t be bothered?

Treason. Treason. Treason.

I remember back before we attacked Libya, that PIAPS was pushing 0 to overthrow Gaddafi. It was never clear to me why.

Once I saw a clip of 0 joking about PIAPS throwing rocks at the WH residence windows to get him to attack.

What had the Gad man done to PIAPS? Was it a ploy (from Huma) to get him out of the way so Muzzie Bros could take over? It seemed like the whole idea of the "Arab Spring" was to replace dictators with MB. Since there was no Arab Spring in Libya, did we have to fake one?

There is much more to this than meets the eye, obviously. Maybe a peek a what countries and who were donating to the Clinton Foundation would shed some light? Or, is that info buried next to 0´s transcripts?

What is truly horrible about this tragedy is for the injured, survivors and the family members of the deceased and injured.

No one has been held accountable, no one has been identified as the culprit and no one has been prosecuted in a court of law for terrorism, murder, attempted murder and numerous other felonies, domestic, foreign and international.

Worse those DIRECTLY responsible are enjoying the grossly, over-priveleged benefits of the oval office and massive benefits from serving as a NY Senator.

BO & HRC should be in a federal prison for what the did or did not do to protect American citizens and the innocent citizens of the host country.

HRC is culpable for the murders and she will be rewarded with the presidency.

Truly disgusting.

If the CIA was conducting a Stinger missile buy back program out of the consulate in Benghazi, it would have make operational sense to make sure there was adequate manpower and firepower to protect the operation, the consulate, and the ambassador. The whole operation and lack of planning, accountability, and leadership is a hallmark of this awful and corrupt administration.

Rep. Gowdy said that he counted 17 separate factual assertions by Lerner which in his opinion was enough to force her to be cross-examined. “That’s a lot of talking for someone who wants to remain silent. That’s a lot of talking!” Gowdy thundered. “If you honestly that you can make 17 separate factual assertions and still invoke your right to remain silent, then please tell me what waiver is?”

Since 1869, still-born babies, the homeless, the poor and the unclaimed have been stacked one upon the other, three coffins deep, on Hart Island. Corpses are interred in great, anonymous trenches. There are no tombstones. Small white posts in the ground mark each 150 adult bodies. A thousand children and infants are buried together per grave. A House committee on Wednesday accused former IRS official Lois Lerner of breaking agency rules by aggressively urging the agency to deny tax-exempt status to Crossroads GPS, the giant political nonprofit founded by Karl Rove, and several other conservative groups as recently as January 2013. The Republican-led panel released emails showing that Lerner took an interest in Crossroads GPS — inquiring with IRS officials why they hadn’t had their tax-exempt status revoked. The committee letter calls her actions “an aggressive and improper pursuit of Crossroads by Lerner, but no evidence she directed review of similarly situated left-leaning groups.”

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Some time back, whenever a big racial controversy erupted, I trained myself into the habit of reading about it at FoxNews.com, just for the unbelievable comment threads. Let’s put it this way: If my friends and I went out to a bar and started playing a “let’s write the racist FoxNews.com comment thread” drinking game, our efforts couldn’t begin to approach what I read there.I wasn’t alone. Liberal websites started feasting on these threads. And so, a couple of years ago, Ailes & Co. got wise. Stories about race were, at least in my disheartened experience, closed to comments.
