Davis, Abbott report big money in Texas race
Associated Press, by Staff

AUSTIN, Texas - Fort Worth Democrat Wendy Davis says she raised more than $11 million over the past six months in her race for Texas governor. Republican Greg Abbott reports collecting $11.5 million over three months. Davis reported raising a total of about $12 million, including her Senate account, gubernatorial account and a political action committee formed with Battleground Texas. That group was formed to boost Democratic chances in Texas.

Comments:
How´s this for biased AP reporting? Compare Abortion Barbie´s SIX month total with Abbot´s THREE month total, so the lofos can think that Abortion Barbie is mopping up with (out of state) cash. Davis doesn´t report how much of her stash is still on hand. Since she´s a Democrat, it´s probably about $15 and a few Starbucks gift cards.

A huge percentage of her donations comes from out of state and from national women´s organizations. She has no chance at the governorship, but she´s making a lot of feminist pro-choice hearts beat faster across the land, apparently.

Too bad she wasn´t concerned enough to keep her own kids when she obtained her divorce.

Wendy´s just the latest "Great Democrat Hope" that the media is pushing. Once its clear she cannot win, the media will stop mentioning her and move on to another Prima-Donna predestined to win. Her loss of the political contest will barely be mentioned and flushed right down the memory hole.

So I´m gathering that Abbot is raising money at something like twice the rate Davis is? If the reverse were true, that would certainly be the headline: "Davis raising twice as much money as Abbott".

If you read this fact that Abbott´s money comes from Texas and Wendy´s who knows.
It needs to be reported that woman advocate when it comes to abortion Davis had 2 children from two marriages and did not get custodial parent status in second divorce with both kids. Her career was to of her list, not her kids.

Don´t get cocky, people. Abortion Barbie is a nationwide sensation with the most corrupt politicos in the country. They have vowed to turn Texas blue and they will stop at nothing.

Continuing to call her Abortion Barbie is a good way to remind people of the only thing she actually has in her platform. Also, when someone writes a blog post or article about her it should say: "Partial birth abortion champion, Wendy Davis, blah blah blah". Don´t let the Dems obscure what she really stands for.

Every dollar she raises just sucks money away from other candidates who have a better [read non-zero] chance of winning.

The fact that most of her money is coming from out-of-state should make everyone uneasy. Not that she´ll beat Abbott, but it´s true, as #3 and #9 point out, that she´ll become a national figure as a result.

Remember that Elizabeth Warren, the person you least wanted to be in the senate, first started being promoted and funded by a group in Berkeley, CA. in 2010. Their intent was to get her into the senate--which they did--and use that as a platform to launch her into the presidency. Maybe not in 2016. But at some point.

I´m sure the people backing Wendy have big plans for her. It´s to their benefit that she´s a media darling.

AUSTIN — Democratic Sen. Wendy Davis on Friday released a list of public-sector clients she has represented since 2010, addressing a potential campaign issue in her race for governor. The list provided to the San Antonio Express-News/Houston Chronicle includes the clients she has represented as part of the Newby Davis firm, according to her campaign. It doesn´t include all the public-sector clients represented by the two-person firm she has with Brian Newby, Republican Gov. Rick Perry´s former chief of staff. The list only includes the clients she handles, not those Newby handles, according to her campaign.

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.
