To Each, According to His Delusions

The latest faux issue to insinuate itself into our political polemics travels under the unedifying name of “income inequality.” As political abstractions go, this one is more incoherent than most. (Shabbier too in its naked appeal to envy and resentment.) Almost no one who uses the term says what he means by it. But it has the ring of yet another incitement to leftist larceny. Since President Obama heaved this dead cat into the room a few weeks ago, I’ve been waiting for anyone speaking for the Republican Party to say that this hustle is nothing more than Marxist boilerplate. Since

If the putz in the WH and all those putz´s embedded in the administration as well as every single demonrat in congress should put their money where their mouths are. Let THEM be the ones to redistribution all their money to the lazy. As far as I can tell, not a single one of them earn anything. Their motto is not me, let someone else pay for it.

Wow, the Repubs should run with this one now that Thornberry has given them the ammo. Another reason why envy sells is that the 10th Commandment has been either totally forgotten or dismissed as old-fashioned Puritanism in our oh-so-modern society.

This from an article in the National Review yesterday: “There is, in fact, a manly and lawful passion for equality which excites men to wish all to be powerful and honored. This passion tends to elevate the humble to the rank of the great; but there exists also in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to attempt to lower the powerful to their own level, and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.”

Once incomes are ´´equalled out´´, then existing jobs will be frozen in place, so that no one can be fired. Ever. No transfers, no upward mobility. Just static existence.

Children will be programmed in school for whatever job their committee decides they will be best suited for, and that´s what they´ll be educated toward. If there are too many children in their home, some will be moved to ´´families´´ with fewer, so all families are ´´equal´´.

Once the child arrives at the appropriate age, he will be installed into that designated job, somewhere, and provided with maintenance. For life.

Ah, Utopia.....

(It´s not too late - ever - to read Mark Levin´s Ameritopia.... educate yourself as to what the original Bronze, Silver and Gold levels were all about.)

As some of us have been saying, the only silver lining in this is that the socialists of America - the Democrats aka "progressives" aka the MSM aka "liberals" - are, perhaps, feeling more emboldened to come out of their closets and admit their socialist creed ("income inequality" reeks of Marx) now that they own the Oval Office and "one of their own" holds the steering wheel. Admissions of who they really are should be welcomed by all of us. It´s the constant charade, insidiously clever, that they are only "patriots" who only want to "help people", that makes it difficult-to-impossible to deal with them. Especially as exposing their actual agenda, socialism, is something the GOP seems dead intent on never, ever doing.

I have not seen or heard of one member of Congress giving up their perks or salary to help the "poor". In fact, most of them have become millionaires while in Congress. Wonder if Michelle would give up some of her perks like being able to fly on vacation separately from her husband. Maybe the Obama´s could give up their vacations entirely and donate the money to the poor. Maybe they could give the money that they spend on sending their girls to a private school to help the poor and send their girls to public schools. Isn´t it wonderful that the rich and powerful don´t have to give up anything. They just take it from those who work and pay taxes.

I´m sick and tired of hearing about this income equality. Why doesn´t some intrepid reporter ask Obama just what amount is equal and fair? $100,000 a year $200,000 a year? Are his uber wealthy friends Beyonce and Jay-Z, Bruce Springsteen, etc going to part with their hundreds of millions of dollars?

And since Congress has been reduced (willingly it appears) to a non-entity with the exception of Harry Reid, why don´t they all go home and stop drawing a salary?

It is standard operating procedure for liberals to push something purely for it´s political/emotional impact. Meanwhile they are actually working in exact opposition to the goals they are talking about.

The middle class is being destroyed. Savings are being eroded. Home equity has faded. The outcome, to create a larger and larger body of people who are dependent on government. A well off middle class has something to protect, things they have earned. Lower classes have been indoctrinated into thinking the only way to get ahead is through government largess.

And under BO that is true. He has forced millions out of the workforce. True unemployment is somewhere in the mid teens. For minorities, and especially young minorities it´s even higher. By destroying the economy, BO has locked them into government thrall. Of course ironically they assisted him by electing him, shooting themselves in the foot. This was set up by the liberal politics of envy. It was aided and abetted by the Republicans refusal to defend free enterprise.

At some point the mushy middle of this country needs to WAKE UP and realize that Conservative economic policies are the ONLY THING that can create prosperity for all. The government offers a ghetto life. Do we really want to live like that?

Anyone that opened their eyes saw where that went. zero is following that agenda as fast as he can and we have a totally worthless bunch of politicians in washington, d. c., that DO NOT have enough guts to represent the American People who elected them to office.

I agree with every word, but let´s give the dims the benefit of the doubt. Let´s talk about enlarging the middle class. The only realistic way to do it is through education. Next question: who destroyed our system of education? Who opposes school choice? Who favors watered-down identity-based programs? Who favors ´self-esteem´ over the ability to read, write and do mathematics? Who opposes discipline and fruitful competition? Who favors emotionalism over reason, dreamy idealism over common sense? Who offers you relativism, a contempt for history and hard facts? Who put us in 15th or 20th place behind Singapore, et al.? Now they whine about what they have done. We can´t compete in the global marketplace, so the middle class is diminished. Whose fault was that?

The author points out that no one knows what the phrase "income equality" means, which is what makes it so insidious. Does it mean "government guaranteed income"? Does it mean "the government will tell you how much you need to live and penalize you accordingly if you make more"? Does it mean "everybody gets paid the same"?

This is going to be a tough one for the Republicans to fight--an undefined concept that means whatever anyone wants it to mean at any given time. And of course the appeal to slackers will be enormous.

One person becoming rich does not cause or condemn others to become poor. In fact the contrary is true, one person becoming rich increases the likelihood that others will become rich . . . e.g. Steve Jobs and anybody who makes money using computers. That is because the economy is not a zero sum game in which every winner must be balanced by a loser. The economy is like a garden in which if the corn is growing like crazy the nearby beans will probably be growing well too.

Moreover if everyone is forced into having equal income there is less reason to try to do well at anything. There is no reward for excelling. The only motive to excel is to stand out from others which itself could become a problem in an egalitarian society. The hammer finds the nail that sticks out.

Democrats cannot be so stupid as to not realize all that and so the author is correct, the whole inequality thing is a play for the votes of the low achievers and the envious who would be made equal by the force of government.

Barry´s long been a Communist agitator. Now, he´s getting desperate playing the ultimate AGITPROP THEATER card. Agitprop theater in late 20´s, 1930´s New York, that spawned so many American Communist
Party members who then infiltrated to a Hollywood already best by attempted Communist control of all the studio craft unions, with violent, killing, injuring studio strikes. It´s all virtually forgotten, but it is all on record.
And what is communist agitprop propaganda, but simply creating Marxist unhappiness and discontent among the lowly peasants (we call them Lo-Fo now). Always on the move to agitate, like Schumer, Weinstein, Sharpton
and Jessie Jackson always do.
Equalizing ability, performance, creativity is the essence of Communist tyranny (The end of game shows, too!).
This equalizing crap can leave no doubt that the person now in the White House, is a card carrying Communist.
A 100% anti-Amaerican.

We promise we´ll give you more later. And don´t even think about voting for those mean, rotten Republicans because they´ll just take away your crumbs. Of course, they never deliver anything more than crumbs because they need the permanent underclass for votes and to use as a club against the GOP. Just once I wish a GOP candidate had the spine to take it that underclass and point out how the Rats have used then and never delivered on their empty promises. Instead, the GOP just writes them off as unattainable. Same thing with the Black Community. Shame.

Advice to Democrats: Don´t say ´recovery´

WASHINGTON - Election-year memo to Democratic candidates: Don´t talk about the economic recovery. It´s a political loser. So say Democratic strategists in a blunt declaration that such talk skips over "how much trouble people are in, and doesn´t convince them that policymakers really understand or are even focusing on the problems they continue to face." In addition, Stan Greenberg, James Carville and others wrote that in head-to-head polling tests the mere mention of the word "recovery" is trumped by a Republican assertion that the Obama administration has had six years to get the economy moving and its policies haven´t worked. President Obama has warned that Iran is not open for business, even as the United States has loosened some of its punishing economic sanctions as part of an interim nuclear pact. Yet, on Tuesday morning, Iran had an unlikely visitor: a plane, owned by the Bank of Utah, a community bank in Ogden that has 13 branches throughout the state. Bearing a small American flag on its tail, the aircraft was parked in a highly visible section of Mehrabad Airport in Tehran. But from there, the story surrounding the plane, and why it was in Iran — where all but a few

Saying they can no longer ignore the rising prices of health care, some of the most influential medical groups in the nation are recommending that doctors weigh the costs, not just the effectiveness of treatments, as they make decisions about patient care. The shift, little noticed outside the medical establishment but already controversial inside it, suggests that doctors are starting to redefine their roles, from being concerned exclusively about individual patients to exerting influence on how health care dollars are spent. “We understand that we doctors should be and are stewards of the larger society as well as of the patient in

Hillary Clinton may end up deciding she wants to spend the 935 days until election 2016 making corporate speeches and spoiling her grandchild. Recent events have exposed weaknesses in Clinton’s supposedly impregnable armor, gaps through which a Democratic or Republican challenger could damage, perhaps even defeat her. Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- built their legacy edifices totally with private money. [Snip] However, Obama supporters have a different take. They think taxpayers should put up $100 million in public money for Obama´s library.

Less than 16 hours after Chelsea Clinton announced she was pregnant, a lot of major news outlets started staring into the crystal ball of Chelsea’s womb, wondering what this currently floating zygotic multicellular being meant for the prospects of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, which is also a floating, zygotic, multicellular being. Their answer: The immaculately conceived Clinton child could mean everything. And no, it’s not just the fact that having a grandchild could be personally fulfilling to Hillary and Bill (mazel tov, by the way), or that a cute baby would be a sweet cherry on top of Hillary’s already

The first step is admitting… It was a simple question to someone accustomed to much tougher ones: What was her proudest achievement as secretary of state? But for a moment, Hillary Rodham Clinton, appearing recently before a friendly audience at a women’s forum in Manhattan, seemed flustered.(Snip)So…no definitive successes and some clear-cut failures. And that’s the generous New York Times assessment. The Democrat fantasy story about Mrs. Clinton paints her as strong and accomplished on her own. In reality, this is a woman who is professionally defined almost entirely by two men in her life, both of whom happen to have

Remember when Lois Lerner, in answering a planted question at an American Bar Association conference, admitted the IRS had targeted conservative groups but tried to pass it off as the work of rogue agents — “our line people in Cincinnati”? Today we know there were indeed federal agents involved. But they weren’t rogue, and they weren’t confined to IRS workers in Cincinnati. Thanks to a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch, we now have an e-mail Lerner sent to colleagues noting the Department of Justice was looking into criminal prosecutions of these tax-exempt groups. We know something else, too. These investigations
