An Obamacare supporter
recounts his misadventures
dealing with HealthCare.gov

Daily Caller, by Steven Friess

As we hoisted champagne flutes in the first seconds of 2014, my partner and I toasted all the usual things people do as they look ahead to the coming year. Health. Happiness. Love. Optimism. Hope. To that traditional list, we added one more: Obamacare. My husband, Miles, was enrolled in what appeared to be an excellent, affordable plan at the stroke of midnight. Celebration seemed in order. It had been a tough slog, of course. We’d worried the GOP would succeed in defunding it or undermining it in some other way that would put affordable coverage further out of our

Sorry to hear of this man´s personal plight. but I think this will be the norm, not the exception, with all the obamaFlying Moneys working 24X7 to cover up the disasters.

Biggest problem with Affordable Care Act is that the Dems did nothing "ZERO" to make it Affordable.

An easy start would have been Medical Malpractice reform. But the Dems can´t even consider that, as the trial lawyers are one of their most loyal supporters.

Obviously bright, highly educated, well meaning person who was never exposed to Hayek, Bastiat, or Friedman in his many years of having his good feelings massages in school.

In other words, a typical fool.

I hate to appear callous, but I have no sympathy for the plight of any of the true-believer-useful-idiots who foisted Obamacare on the rest of us. My sympathy is reserved for the majority of Americans who never wanted this disaster but got it anyway and for the hundreds of thousands of innocent people who will be harmed. Some will die. Those who voted for Obama deserve what they get.

To reinforce your "fool" designation, see the final paragraph of the saga, where this 0 supporter is gonna invite another donkey kick to the tender parts in November when the re-enrollment opportunity comes up. They really want this nightmare "to work". Foolish.

I have a fried who signed up for Affordable Care through an agent of BC/BS. She has several pre-existing conditions and hasn´t had insurance for several years. Her monthly premium is $19 and co-pay $5. Prescriptions no more than $10 co-pay. Of course she used it the first week of Jan and says no problems. This is who is signing up for "affordable care". My husband and I pay close to $15000. yearly for premiums, co-pays and yearly deductibles. I would not want to deny a sick person care, but it just gals me that people are starting to rub it in the face of those who are paying for all of this.

A couple of further notes on Steven´s misadventure:
- this is not a gift to insurance companies. They will lose money on this venture. People will be using services, but those needed to supply the revenue who do not, won´t sign up..who would? Spend $300-$500 a month for something you´ll never use (as a normal 20-something) or pay the penalty? Simple math...
- Not sure Steven & his "spouse" won´t be paying anyway, each month. They gave their banking info to the ACA website...good luck with that, dude.
- Insurers may be dropping common meds from their list of covered items to make plans affordable. Businesses tend to do that sort of thing...look for lots more of this to surface as things move forward, and bear it in mind when the employer mandate kicks in next year...we may all find ourselves in the same situation with our medications!

Give this retching, crying, sniveling, vomiting degenerate an Academy Award! I don’t know how much more I can take of Oscar Pistorius’ rubbish. A prosecutor on Wednesday ordered the athlete known as the “Blade Runner’’ for the carbon-fiber blades that replace his lower legs — which he’s not afraid to use as props to score pity — to “take responsibility’’ for slaughtering his beautiful girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day, 2013. Rolling Stone’s Constitution cover is in need of an amendment. The cover of the storied rock magazine’s latest issue features a naked Julia Louis-Dreyfus with a faulty U.S. Constitution inked on her back. Just above her derriere sits the signature of one of the nation’s most prominent Founding Fathers, John Hancock. There’s only one problem, however: John Hancock didn’t sign the U.S. Constitution. Hancock, president of the Second Continental Congress, actually signed the Declaration of Independence. RICHGROVE, Calif. — In March 2013, a man with brooding, mahogany eyes and a walrus mustache traveled from his home in California to visit relatives in Alabama. The trip did not end well. When a business acquaintance insulted Jose Manuel Martinez´s daughter, Martinez put two bullets in the man´s head, officials said. It was a matter "of family honor," Errek Jett, an Alabama prosecutor, said Wednesday. But it was not, it turned out, the first time he had killed — far from it, authorities believe. Solar power has won the global argument. Photovoltaic energy is already so cheap that it competes with oil, diesel and liquefied natural gas in much of Asia without subsidies. Roughly 29pc of electricity capacity added in America last year came from solar, rising to 100pc even in Massachusetts and Vermont.[Snip] The technology is improving so fast--helped by the US military--that it has achieved a virtous circle.
