The Benghazi Transcripts: Top
Defense officials briefed Obama
on ‘attack,’ not video or protest

Fox News, by James Rosen

Original Article

Minutes after the American consulate in Benghazi came under assault on Sept. 11, 2012, the nation´s top civilian and uniformed defense officials -- headed for a previously scheduled Oval Office session with President Obama -- were informed that the event was a "terrorist attack," declassified documents show. The new evidence raises the question of why the top military men, one of whom was a member of the president´s Cabinet, allowed him and other senior Obama administration officials to press a false narrative of the Benghazi attacks for two weeks afterward. Gen. Carter Ham, who at the time was head of

Panetta was first notified. The obvious question that has never been answered is where was 0bama?

My guess is Dempsey and Ham were ordered to clam up or their names would appear in column 7 on Hillary´s Hit list.

Then why did General Petraeus testify before the Senate that it was because of a video? I knew at the time he was lying.

Gen. Hamm was immediately relieved of duty by Panetta/Dempsey. Did any questions concerning this arise during the dispositions? Was it because he intended to issue orders through his command for assistance to Benghazi? If drones were available to reach location DURING the attach, why could not ´forces´ arrive as well?

Can anyone imagine the h@@l that would be reigned down on a Republican President and his administration if they had lied about an event? Oh, that did happen you say? And that President had to leave office before his second term was up? That´s right, Haldeman, Erlichman, Mitchell, and Dean and some others were disgraced. Thank god for Martha Mitchell and her telephone calls. s/

I thought we had three branches of government who were sworn to check the excesses of the other two branches. You say that, too, happened when Nixon was President. s/

Just exactly when did the American people decide that they did not want Congress and the Supreme Court(Judiciary) to be the checks against the malfeasance of the Executive branch??????

#5 That is the question we all want to know. I´m beginning to believe there was no stand down order given by obama. He just didn´t give the go ahead. He voted present once again. He either couldn´t be reached or didn´t respond so nothing was done. The question is what was he really doing that night?

So how did the current "leader" of The Free World explain the situation? Let´s turn back the clock this morning and take a walk down memory lane to September 18, 2012, and Chairman Barry´s guest appearance on CBS´s "The Late Show With David Letterman":

LETTERMAN: "Now, I don´t understand, um, the Ambassador to Libya killed in an attack on the Consulate in Benghazi? Is this an act of war? Are we at war now? What happens here?"

CHAIRMAN BARRY: "Here´s what happened...You had a video that was released by somebody who lives here, sort of a shadowy character who---who made an extremely offensive video directed at---at Mohammed and Islam---"

LETTERMAN: "Making fun of the Prophet Mohammed?"

CHAIRMAN BARRY: "Making fun of the Prophet Mohammed. And so, this caused great offense in much of the Muslim world. But what also happened, extremists and terrorists used this as an excuse to attack a variety of our embassies, including the one, the Consulate in Libya."

As The Third Reich´s late Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels was often fond of observing---"It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion"..."Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play."

# 10 attaboy. We have three major tv networks (a real big deal), three news networks, all of Hollywood, all major newspapers with the exception WSJ editorial page, most magazines and the entire Democratic Party not interested in finding out what happen in Benghazi...in fact they already know most the truth now but continue to lie, distort and blame the Republicans for politicizing the story.

Lots of people will have to be serverly punished for this blatant cover up and fraud against the USA. Otherwise, all of these scandals will set a standard that will take us to third world status or living in fear of the tyrannical government. Without a honest media or a honest government we have few choices.

There are no bounds to his treachery and no limit to their worship. Therefore, he stands unaccountable for anything he does.

FTA: "The people at the Pentagon and frankly, the people at the CIA stood back while all of this was unfolding and allowed this narrative to go on longer than they should have."

It´s quite telling that in all the "narratives" so far on these declassified documents, this is the only lukewarm mention of the CIA.

1. Was there not a CIA place a mile away that was to later cost US two of the four lives lost that night?
2. Where is General Petraeus and his "lacking" comments, since he WAS the head of the CIA at the time?
3. Was an extramarital affair with Paula Broadwell and his subsequent firing from the CIA meant to silence him? (We know how these "power brokers" in DC just hate to lose their pensions).
4. Finally, as I continue to ask, where are the metadata audio/video recordings made during the attack? Phone calls were made and a drone was known to have been overhead at the time.

Ruminations: Since the Democrat party is actually akin to a crime syndicate, it comes as no surprise that they cover for each other. Don´t look for the truth out of Panetta or anyone else.

IMO, the stupid video story was concocted earlier to cover the violence in Egypt and then some dim bulb decided to use it with Libya after they were caught flatfooted. I´d say the dim bulb was in Obama´s reelection campaign. For Obama it was entirely political.

Now as to the Republican´s complicity, that´s another story. I think they are trying to coverup the CIA arms transfers to Syrian so called rebels. McCain is hip deep in it in my opinion. There´s no way Boehner wants to go there.

*Why was Obama on the phone with Netanyahu that particular night at 3AM Netanyahu time, when they had not spoken on the phone since 12/09 according to the record. One could suspect they knew the attack was coming and he wanted to be seen by Jewish voters as in touch with Netanyahu and not anti-Israel in advance of his re-election as Obama was loosing Jewish votes.

Why sit back and do nothing for 10 hours with the Ambassador missing -- and when Stevens is reported dead-- then do the one and only thing Obama did that night which was to call Hillary. Neither did anything to get those Americans help yet then speak upon confirmation of Stevens death. Sounds like a missin accomplished call where they began crafting their over story.

What was Rep Mike Rogers and the House Intel Committee meeting secretly with Ambassador Stevens about, before he went back to Benghazi? Was he telling them about the WMD leaving Benghazi to Al Qaeda?

Did Rep Rogers wife´s company provide, or not provide security to Benghazi?

We´re those at the CIA Annex intended to die too?

Why all the thuggish behavior requiring the CIA agents to sign more State Secrets documents to remain quiet and take monthly lie detector tests?

Why was Ambassador Stevens autopsy done over seas and his body cremated overseas? Why then bring his ashes in a photo op full size casket to a base never before used for bringing our fallen home?

Why did those at the State Department say under oath they watched the attacks in real time then change their story later?

Where are those live streaming videos of those attacks?

That CEO had tripled his sales numbers...and I´ve never heard of a CEO in the private sector resigning due to an affair that was consensual and not harassment. so why design?

If our government is ordering arms and putting them in AlQaeda´s hands--we the taxpayers have a right to know.

If our government at some level has declared a war, we the people have a right to know. They confiscate out money but the government cannot have an off the books war.

Enough! The attitude of those we elected to govern has become corrupt, illegal, unconstitutional and arrogant.

As many above have posted blackmail is rampant with this White House. Our Administration now has the NSA´s data to go after any pol/officer/cabinet member/governor/tea party citizen/journalist/etc & threaten their careers, family, even lives.

No wonder our congress is toothless & spineless. We need only squeaky-clean people elected who can avoid even the appearance of unsavory actions to take back our representative government. Which is highly unlikely to happen. So Maybe Mark Levin is right. A states revolt to save the Constitution.

Sending scores of armed agents along with helicopters and dogs to confront an elderly Nevada rancher over grazing fees may seem like overkill, but critics say it’s not inconsistent with the federal government’s recent approach to environmental enforcement. The simmering truce between the Bundys and the Bureau of Land Management comes after high-profile raids last year by armed federal agents on small-time gold miners in tiny Chicken, Alaska, and guitar makers at the Gibson Guitar facilities in Tennessee. That doesn’t include more subtle threats, such as recent efforts by the Obama administration to raise grazing fees or pressure permit holders to

Rep. Joe Garcia (D-Fla.) is among the Democrats pressing Congress to take up immigration reform. On Tuesday, he told a conference call that deportations are breaking families apart and leaving children in foster care. "So the human toll has been horrific. This president, by implementation of existing law, has been forced to deport a huge number of Americans." Although Garcia may consider the deportees to be "Americans," legally they are not. But they might become citizens if Garcia and other immigration advocates get their way. Democrats are urging Republicans to sign their discharge petition, which would force a House vote on immigration reform.

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. Thank God for Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration J. Russell George. His investigation of what turned out to be the IRS abuse scandal may well have saved the Constitution and the nation. For his fair and impartial investigation into the Internal Revenue Service’s abuse of Americans who dissent from President Obama’s agenda, Democrats have called for an investigation of him. George should not be investigated, but perhaps the Democrats who want him investigated — Reps. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and Matt Cartwright (D-PA) — should be. The announcement of new enrollment figures was also expected separately on Thursday. It is possible Obama could reveal the numbers before one of the two meetings. After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could
