Ex-NFL Great, Hollywood Star Fred
Dryer: GOP Establishment Afraid
MSM Will Call Them ´Racist,

Breitbart Big Journalism, by Tony Lee

Fred Dryer, the former All-Pro NFL defensive end and Hollywood actor of shows like Hunter and Cheers, is furious at the Republican establishment for waging war against the Tea Party. He sees the establishment as surrendering to the mainstream media and accepting its stereotypes about conservatives. Appearing on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125 with Breitbart News Executive Chairman and host Stephen K. Bannon, Dryer said it was the "dumbest thing" for the GOP establishment to abandon constitutional principles when the country – and the constitution – is center right. He blasted GOP establishment honchos like Ed

I agree with most of Fred Dryer´s message. I disagree that the "Establishment GOP has done an excellent job of killing off the Yea Party." We are still here, we are everywhere. We are patiently waiting for each new opportunity to get rid of big government politicians and replace them with small government constitutionalists.

FTA - "Dryer then lamented that America´s youth are not taught civics anymore, and he said that the only reason someone like President Barack Obama can get elected twice is that people do not know anything about the Constitution and "what kind of government they have."

Amen, brother! What a great first morning read, for conservatives, that is. Thanks so much for posting.

Kudo´s to Fred. He nails it. Civics went out the door about 27 years ago literally. In its place went Social Studies. No longer did 8th graders study our government and constitution. Government became an elective in high school so not many students elected to take it. Too hard and boring. Then came the Middle School concept where teachers were to make sure the student´s "self-esteem" was always intact. Our schools have been dumbing down for years. Look at the results. We have Communists in the WH and no one cares. We have Muslim Brotherhood members appointed to high places in our government. No one cares. Republicans say nothing and go along. They have let the entire country down by playing politics and not doing any thing. Ted Cruz has a full plate.

I agree with all the above posters and would like to point out one more thing Dryer said: "Dryer said leaders on both sides, though, couldn´t care less about constitutionalism and Americanism, and want people like him to just die and go away so there wouldn´t be people who can impart institutional knowledge to today´s young people about what it means to be an American and why the nation – and the Constitution – is exceptional."

And there my friends is the demise of America in a nutshell - and there is nothing we can do about it. It´s too late and we, us, you and me, are the ones at fault. We let it happen.

Glad to know we are on the same team Fred. We need more vocal support from highly visible people courageous enough to take the slander that comes from expressing what were traditional American viewpoints. One might deny a "communist plot" to conquer the US by infiltrating the education system and media but that denial is pointless since by accident or any other means, the end result is the same.

What should we have done brainiac? We had the Warren Court, and we patiently tried to elect conservatives to change it. Since Reagan, we´ve been given horrible Hobson´s choices, having to vote for our political enemies for "half a loaf." We tried to reform Congress. We barely had any success here and there. Our elections are stolen.

We went to work, paid our taxes, voted, and tried to peacefully get our way. We raise our kids and grandkids not to harm anyone. You want to blame us for this disaster, you can go straight to Hell.

Mr. Dryer is right on the money! Instead of going after those (the Left) who are gleefully ´destroying´ America, the Republican establishment attacks those - with a vengeance - who believe in America´s traditions, values, history, laws, a strong economy, and ´liberty´ - and the list goes on. I´ve lost most of the respect for them I once had.

I´m very thankful Fred Dryer is speaking out with strength and clarity. He´s a good and wise man, and we should listen to him.

#7, it was our Government, our schools, our society. It was us who allowed the Government to be stolen out from under us, beginning with the JFK election. It is us who allows people to vote who can´t even spell vote and who refuse to even identify themselves.

It was us who gave our schools to the leftists and then gave our children to the schools. It was us who allowed Political Correctness to take over and control discourse in this country. Control the language and you control the society.

When leaving Independence Hall after the Constitutional Convention, Ben Franklin was asked by a woman, "Well, Doctor, what have you given us, a Republic or a Monarchy?" He replied, "A Republic, if you can keep it." We couldn´t.

The best lesson I learned from a mis-spent youth of bar brawling and martial activities was this: Never threaten...never telegraph your intentions.

Many stand ready to defend our Republic.

Whoah! Is that COURAGE I see standing up and being counted? YES. Thank you Fred Dryer. Article is a Must Read, in my opinion.

The establishment goons, leaving all principles behind, attack conservatives in the name of "moderation" which actually means begging for scraps of power underneath the "popular" table of the Leftists running our news and cultural media, academia, and government.

The Republican tent has gotten so small, conservatives are not even allowed in.

If we the people unite to withhold the two things the goons crave: our votes and our money, THAT is when we will begin to see the GOP, and more importantly, the country, regain its integrity and have the chance for success long-term.

The issue i see with "taking over" the republican party is that the brand is too damaged to attract democrats who are unhappy with the democrat party to it. it´s like buying a failing business with a host of pending lawsuits against it. My late father was quite conservative in many issues but refused to consider voting for any republican because of republican actions and positions when he was growing up.
Take a lesson from Clinton and triangulate with a new party that can pull from both the republicans and democrats.

The best way to shut the Republicans up is for the liberal Democrats to play the race card and to threaten to call the Republicans out as racists. The Republicans are scared to death of that, the liberal Democrats know that, and usually in the end gives them free reign to move the social goalposts as they wish.
