Arizona´s Maricopa County

The Maricopa County Republican Party in Arizona formally censured Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) Saturday evening by an overwhelming 1150-351 vote, Breitbart News has learned. Maricopa County is Arizona´s most populous county and includes Phoenix within its borders. The official GOP body´s rebuke undermines McCain´s reelection chances should he decide to run for the Senate again in 2016. “As leaders in the Republican Party, we are obligated to fully support our Party, platform, and its candidates,” the formal censure resolution reads. “Only in times of great crisis or betrayal is it necessary to publicly censure our leaders. McCain never fails to live up to his RINO reputation. His latest claim to greatness comes with his proclamation that Gates should have waited longer to publish his memoirs.

If he broke significant campaign promises, recall is the way to reward him. It worked in Colorado. I bet there are hundreds of thousands of actual Republicans in Arizona who could best him in the job. Like his "good friend" Harrison Bounel, he is a malignant narcissist. He has riches, power, and an attractive trophy wife who owns a beer distributorship! What else could he need? He is in it for the glory and adulation. Stabbing his party in the back is what ingratiates him with the dhims. He takes his own party´s allegiance as his due.

I seem to remember a debate, about the time of Scott Walker and then later those CO state senators, on if we can recall those state and local officials, why can´t we recall US senators, etc. (specifically Juan McCain). Problem may be that that there is no recall mechanism in the US Constitution, while certain state´s constitutions allow recalls, laying out how they are to be done.

http://ballotpedia.org/Laws_governing_recall#cite_note-CRS-7

A little googling finds works like
http://www.senate.gov/CRSReports/crs-publish.cfm?pid=%270E%2C*PL%5B%3A%230%20%20%0A

which argues federal recalls are not allowed. The lack of recalls at the national level may explain why the federal government seems unstoppable.

The Supreme Court has upheld a ban on using race in admissions to Michigan´s public university. The court was divided on the case, which overturns a 6th Circuit Court decision. The opinion, written by Justice Anthony Kennedy, says the case is not about race admissions policies but about whether voters in a state can choose to prohibit consideration of racial preferences. "The plurality opinion stresses that the case is not about the constitutionality or the merits of race conscious admission policies in higher education. Rather, the question concerns whether and in what manner voters in a state may chose to

FREEHOLD — A family is suing a New Jersey school district, contending that the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance is discriminatory toward atheist children. The lawsuit against the Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District was filed in state court last month and announced Monday by the American Humanist Association. The pardon power exists so that the president can act in individual cases to correct excesses and injustices. It is not supposed to be a vehicle by which presidents rewrite congressional statutes that

In the budget proposal he presented to Congress last month, President Barack Obama called for what would be the highest level of sustained taxation ever imposed on the American people, according to the analysis published last week by the Congressional Budget Office. Under Obama’s proposal, taxes would rise from 17.6 percent of Gross Domestic Product in 2014 to 19.2 percent in 2024. During the ten years from 2015 to 2024, federal taxation would average 18.7 percent GDP. America has never been subjected to a ten-year stretch of taxation at that level.
