Gates memoir reveals Obama’s
incompetence on foreign policy

New York Post, by Michael Goodwin

Original Article

With media attention focused on Chris Christie and Bridgegate, it was easy to miss a more important Washington story last week. The other shoe dropped on the Obama presidency. Still battered at home by the ObamaCare debacle and the permanently sluggish economy, the last thing the White House wanted was bad news on foreign policy. But that’s exactly what it got, and then some, thanks to the shockingly scathing book by Robert Gates. The former defense secretary offers the most devastating critique to come from an Obama insider. He paints the president as estranged from the very Afghan military surge he ordered

It wasn´t the Gates memoir that revealed Obama´s incompetence on foreign policy to me. His choices for Secretary of State and their documented incompetence pretty much did it for me.....

A community organizer one term Senator is totally unqualified for the office he holds. The fact that he was steeped in communism and anti-Americanism from the cradle by his mother, grandparents and their friends, and sat for his then adult life under a bigoted race baiting man of the cloth should have crushed any hopes of public service much less a run for the presidency. He has been managed his entire life by people with an agenda to destroy this country and its reputation around the world. What we see as a miserable failure, they see as a stunning success. No army could do what Obama has to this country. It will take decades to undo the damage he has done to this nation and the world. Dr. Evil could not have manufactured a more effective villain.

Some day some social science genius will publish a definitive work that analyzes how such a knowledge-deficient, inexperienced person became POTUS. The world will then learn more about social psychology, politics and human frailty than ever before.

Juicy.

He paints the president as estranged from the very Afghan military surge he ordered and suspicious of and hostile toward top leaders of the armed forces.

Goodwin left out that Obama is also jealous of those who are smarter and more competent than he, which means just about everyone. He cannot risk military leaders coming up with effective solutions. Obama must be the one seen to come up with them.

...Obama as incompetent on domestic policies is now twinned with one of incompetence abroad. And those views are rapidly hardening into fixed conventional wisdom.

The Right knew all this long ago, but the details, coming from Gates, are good to hear.

It [NYT] later added a frightening note, reporting that intelligence officials say Syrian Islamists are trying to recruit Americans to carry out terror attacks here.

We know it´s just a matter of time before we get hit. This time it won´t be just buildings and people -- it will be cyber-attacks on our power grids and on our ability to buy anything without cash.

If Obama resigns or otherwise gets removed from office before his term is up, this can more than likely be averted by getting somebody into the White House who will be taken seriously by our enemies, and who will remove the ridiculous military handcuffs from our troops and set them back to doing what they do best -- killing enemies and breaking things.

Secretary Gates please answer this question:
Where were you around September or October of 2012 when we needed a voice like yours.

It is your country and it was time to be a man.

In New York´s socialist leaning publishing world, made up of six major houses, Gates´ book is a breakthrough !
Old line Washington based, conservative Alfred Regnery had so many anti democrat best sellers that the big six each decided to start their own little conservative publishing imprint within their big democrat controlled corporations.
The latest precedent setting breakthrough is the Gates book not being published by the conservative imprint of giant Random House, but rather by RH´s lefty literary imprint, Alfred Knopf. These are extraordinary times. The next crack in the dam of communism socialism fascism, will be a mainstream big network or cable multi million dollar lefty news personality, like a Diane Sawyer, who will also come out with a legitimate book of inside revelations censorship, dishonesty and rigid party line, as Gates has done! It´s all coming down. It´s getting better!
A next big step will be the good guys, Cruz, Issa, Rand Paul, Scott Walker, will start making more effective, dramatic big noise and begin to sound more like Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Ron Paul and Mark Steyn, yes, even Donald Trump........more excited, aggressive, ideological

Given Barry´s well documented laziness and lack of oversight on even his most critical efforts (ObamaCare).... all foreign policy incompetence must be dropped where it belongs, squarely on the head of Sec. of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Obama may be trying and purge his adversaries from the highest ranks of the military but I sense something is boiling under the surface that he may not be able to contain. In a sort of PC way, Gates is revealing how serious it is. It seems that every day there is another slap in the face of the military. I never thought I´d live to see the day that they might turn on a President but I believe if we stay on this course it could be a possibility. I pray not.

Obama did exactly what he was elected to do-get out of the neocon wars. Any negative feelings about his foreign policy that Americans have now is that we are still in Afghanistan.
The neocons can´t get that thru their thick skulls as they try to drum up support to go back to Iraq, get involved in Syria, etc. This book will have no affect on Obama as his polls are starting to inch back up.

Easter 2014: A celebration of hope
Fox News, by Rev. Dr. James B. Lemler    Original Article

Over 2 billion people are celebrating Easter today, April 20, as the calendars of Western and Eastern churches coincide this year, and these billions of faithful people are celebrating HOPE. The Easter message begins with the hopeful news that death has been overcome by life, that hatred has been overcome by love, and that sorrow has been overcome by joy. The elements of the story involve women arriving at a garden tomb and finding it empty, but even better, meeting the risen Lord, the embodiment of life and love. Their lives are changed forever and so are the lives of many, many

Chocolatiers love a holiday, be it Christmas, Valentine’s Day, or Easter. The French version of the Easter Bunny is Easter Bells (les cloches de Pâques)—which allegedly fly to Rome for a few days before the holiday to be blessed by the Pope before returning with chocolate eggs for the kids. But you don’t have to hunt very far to find French chocolate and pastry shop windows full of Easter eggs all trying to out-cute, out-class, or simply out-design one another. Good-looking pastries and other sweets are a modestly priced pleasure in France. But like fashion designers, French patissiers and chocolatiers

WHAT ARE the implications for Taiwan of China’s continued rise? Not today. Not next year. No, the real dilemma Taiwan will confront looms in the decades ahead, when China, whose continued economic growth seems likely although not a sure thing, is far more powerful than it is today. Contemporary China does not possess significant military power; its military forces are inferior, and not by a small margin, to those of the United States. Beijing would be making a huge mistake to pick a fight with the American military nowadays. China, in other words, is constrained by the present global balance

WASHINGTON — Daniel Swalm was researching his family when he came across a disturbing episode in immigration history. That discovery would lead to a move in the U.S. Senate to apologize for action the nation took more than a century ago. Swalm discovered that under an obscure 1907 law, his grandmother Elsie, born and raised in Minnesota, was stripped of her U.S. citizenship after marrying an immigrant from Sweden. Swalm had never heard of the Expatriation Act that required a U.S.-born woman who married a foreigner to "take the nationality of her husband." Attorney General Eric H. Holder was reminded during a recent congressional hearing that he has been held in “contempt of Congress” — for nonproduction of subpoenaed documents. He interrupted with a personal rebuke of his questioner. Later, he suggested that questioning of his leadership, nonresponsiveness to congressional oversight, and referring to the contempt vote was evidence of racism.
