Senate Democrats Block Amendment
to Restore Military Pensions

Washington Free Beacon, by Elizabeth Harrington

Original Article

Posted By:Desert Fox, 1/11/2014 6:31:50 AM

Senate Democrats on Thursday blocked a Republican attempt to restore military pensions cut in last month’s budget deal, denying a vote that would save up to $20 billion by closing a loophole that allows tax refunds to go to illegal aliens. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D., Calif.) called an effort by Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R., N.H.) to repeal the military retiree cuts “fiddling while Rome burns.” Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) “filled the amendment tree” on Thursday, ending debate and blocking any Republican amendments to a bill to extend unemployment insurance (UI) benefits. Among them was Ayotte’s measure, which would repeal cuts to

FTA: "Boxer said all of the Republican amendments were “partisan,” and criticized Ayotte’s statements on removing the tax loophole."

I´m speechless. There is no group of people more partisan, more anti-American, or more despicable than the lying Democrats. They insult and assault our volunteer military personnel with each and every cut to their livelihood.

By the time the Marxist Democrats are done with the destruction of America, it won´t be worth defending and there will be no incentives to volunteer to do so.

These politicians are beneath contempt.

What an incredible outrage! Heroic defenders of our country get defecated on, while illegal invaders get "tax refunds" a.k.a. bribe money for votes.
Washington is an utter cesspool, and the Demonrat party is the solid matter therein.

Detestable. Contemptible. I can´t think of any more descriptors permissible on this site.

I apologize for the second post, but I just have to include these quotes:

"A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The ´United States of America´, for an amount of ´up to and including his life.´" – Author Unknown

"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.” -- Thomas Paine

Our politicians reap the blessings, but do nothing to support our freedoms.

As predicted, the Dems will do anything to get more LoFo voters into this up and coming election as possible.

Expect a full court press before this fall for full legalization and voting rights for millions of illegals.

The current LoFo´s are waking up and seeing the Dem lies, and being hurt by Obamacare, they HAVE to be replaced by other LoFo´s (illegals) before the election, to allow Dems to keep their power !!

With the current news of all the Americans that do NOT have jobs in this country, do we really want to bring more (illegals) into the workforce here?

Reid got what he wanted which was an extension of the unemployment insurance. This article does not mention that part and so it is just spin! Ayotte helped by voting to let the measure go forward to be able to offer her amendment. Reid took her vote and stabbed her in the back. Reid gets all he wants and Ayotte nothing. That is what happens when you play nice with RATS. I hope Ayotte has learned something. She was a tea party candidate but has been a big disappointment since.

What an absolutely horrible way to be treating our current and former military personnel - where does this kind of thinking even come from?

I guess this also means that we have zero chance of ever requiring frequent drug testing for all recipients of welfare or any kind.

But, that alone would certainly put a huge and immediate dent in our deficit spending instead of this meaningless and repulsive nickle/dime stuff in Congress.

Sadly, it all starts at the top with this anti-military, anti-Constitution, anti-Israeli/pro-militant Muslim administration.

Gov. Chris Christie, R-N.J., turned down the opportunity to bash the mainstream media on Friday, when interviewed by Fox News host Megyn Kelly. Kelly pointed out, during a part of the interview aired on Friday, that there was an unprecedented volume of negative media coverage surrounding the bridge controversy in New Jersey. "Has this changed your view of the mainstream media?" she asked. "No, I´ve always had the same view," Christie said, pointing out that anyone can be the "flavor of the month" in the media. "But I´ve always said to my folks in the party, we don´t get anywhere complaining about it either,"

In a way it´s the oddest bit of ObamaCare propaganda we´ve seen so far. Suddenly ObamaCare is a roaring success, happy days are here again and liberals are euphoric, or claim to be. There are more than a few reasons to doubt this new fairy tale, not least the behavior of Senate Democrats running for re-election this year. In the Rose Garden Tuesday, President Obama reported that 7.1 million people had signed up so far, confirming a Monday night White House news leak. "That doesn´t mean all our health-care problems have been solved forever," he conceded with customary modesty. The government appears to have tapped heretofore-unknown reserves of bureaucratic efficiency by releasing numbers timed to

Typically, constitutionalists accuse their establishment rivals of being moderate, risk-averse, stubborn old fools who lack faith in conservative principles. But there is another hypothesis -- less soothing, but, at least from an outsider´s bird´s-eye view, more reconcilable with the facts. This hypothesis is that America has reached a stage of progressive soft despotism in which the only important family feud in national politics is between the fundamentally
