TRENTON — The New Jersey Legislature today released thousands of pages of subpoenaed documents provided to a state Assembly committee investigating the George Washington Bridge scandal. Many of the documents were given to the panel by an attorney for David Wildstein, a former top official of the Port of New Jersey and New Jersey, and include the e-mails that emerged on Wednesday revealing a top aide to Gov. Chris Christie was directly tied to the traffic-clogging closure of local access lanes leading to the bridge in Fort Lee. Democrats have sought for months to link the lane closures to the

This is laughable. Our Marines and soldiers dying in Afghanistan for a war that the 0 doesn´t support. Americans dead in Benghazi, IRS being used by the administration against anyone who disagrees with them, NSA snooping violating the 4th amendment, a war against white people abetted by 0bama, and this is what the feeding frenzy is about? Hypocrites, liars, lofo pandering run amok. I´m glad I moved out of the country, it truly has gone to hell

Super hard hitting news

I hate NYC, but had to drive 3 people to JFK airport this summer. Backup at GWB was 90 minutes, on a Saturday. Truck stalled on the bridge upper road.

Pity the poor low-level staffers who had to gather all these thousands of pages of poo-poo, then copy it, collate it, staple it and send it out. (Unless the NJ equivalent of GSA did it all for them.) Then some wonk had to decide what kind of binder to stuff it all into and Tweedles Dum and Dee had to get it delivered unto all the worthies. Poppycock, no emphasis on the poppy.

Only this time it´s Rush doing the drive by shooting.

We are well aware of Christie´s failures and hardly need anyone telling us he is not presidential material.

Lots to talk about how the left is destroying our country without wasting time Christie bashing.

It appears the media let it out of the bag early. I assumed they were gonna replay the McCain gambit with Christie...you know, let Christie think the media likes him because he´s the closest thing to a regular Democrat.

Then, if he actually gets the nod to run for President, he´s outlived his usefulness by eliminating real conservatives so then they trash him just like any other Republican.

Interesting how a traffic jam has the media focused like a laser beam when four dead Americans in Benghazi, and a massacre of Navy SEALs in the Tangi Valley, Afghanistan, are nothing to see and we should just move along. The media is drunk on its power to decide what is newsworthy and what is not. They are amoral, rabid ideologues who push an agenda down our throats every single day. They ceased long ago being reporters of news. They are now progressive political propagandists, i.e., communists committed to the destruction of this country and their job is to control information.

Christie may or may not be a viable candidate for the GOP nomination, but if he falls short, it will have nothing to do with this media-created tempest. I haven´t spoken with anyone who cares a whit about traffic cones in New Jersey and who ordered them. But, this is Texas, so we´ll see.

Then look back and see how many of these commies covered Benghazi, IRS, NSA, gun control, keeping out more aliens. Now is the ideal time for good, New Media
to begin attacking the old robot commie media, and relentlessly exposing their agitating, Party Line ways.

Christie handled the exposed scandal as well as anyone could. I think the real issue is Christie´s judgement in selecting top aides and his communication skills with his staff. He chose this woman to be in a key position. Then his communication and personality led her to assume that she was doing what he would want her to do.

We have the same problem in the White House right now. The head of the IRS assumes that the president wants her to punish tea party people. The head of the EPA assumes that the president wants big business punished. And they may very well be right, but either way, the consequences belong to the top guy. Who you chose to promote to power, and how well they know you is everything in politics.

I´ve said it before. Government is too big. No one person is actually in charge. They hire layers and layers of staff who then need to get noticed so the staff does what they think will get the most attention. It may be good management style in business but most government employees have never worked anywhere else. They do not have to meet any expectations except show up occasionally.

Isn´t it amazing what the press can do when they are really motivated to get someone? I mean, here they can find and dig through thousands of pages of documents about Christie, yet they cannot find even simple things about Odouchebag, like a birth certificate, or college transcripts, or why he has invalid and probably forged documents like Social Security and Selective Service registrations.

Well, another good thing that may come of this, aside from Christie learning who his friends are and aren´t (like the ´Rats he claims to be able to "work with" and "reach across the aisle"), it that he will know what Sarah Palin went through.

Seems like there´s so much to process every day that I´m getting slower on the uptake. Can an Ldotter or two explain what appears to me to be a discrepancy?

On 1/9/14 Christie stated "I was blindsided yesterday morning.. . . I had no knowledge or involvement in this issue"

On 12/6/13, Wildstein issued a statement saying he was resigning from the PA because the "controversy was a distraction". What controversy? If there was one, why did not his childhood buddy, the guy who was putting him in line for cushy jobs, know anything about it? If Christie and Wildstein are astightasthis, are we to believe no conversation about the GW mess took place between them? I´m lost.

I agree that this is an unfortunate distraction - from Benghazi, Obamacare, IRS, etc. But since we´re doing it anyway, can we please do it right?

Have we become so callus that we can´t question any faults or problems associated with Republicans who screw the pooch as badly as these people did. This was a deliberate and nasty payback scheme that was discussed by different bureaucrats and politicians, some of who were appointed by Christie.

This action inconvenienced a great many people, including members of all political party´s. These people knew there were substantial public consequences to their stupid payback scheme. They obviously didn´t think there would be internal payback.

That I think says it all.

6,000 pages and they ( the media, Democrats , Limbaugh, tea party ) still can´t find a link to Christie.
# 20 Everyone knew that the lane closures for 96 hours were a mess since they happened in September.
Not months as Limbaugh alleges, BTW.
And Limbaugh is lying about Christie and Barry walking arm in arm through NJ.
Christie actually joked about the brouhaha in December with the media because he found
the idea that he would waste his time on a dirty trick like this laughable.
Former US Attorney Christie was known for prosecuting corrupt politicians.
As Governor of 9 million citizens, he was running for reelection, the state was still rebuilding from Sandy and he´s going to jeopardize everything
by engaging in a stupid frat house type prank like this right before the election ?
Christie plays hardball , but, to accuse him of being a part of this juvenile stunt is ridiculous.
Every time Barry flies into my city for one of his fundraisers, the airport and the surrounding interstates are shut down, delaying flights and inconveniencing thousands.
Bill Clinton shut down LAX for a haircut and the media laughed.

#1, I recently moved to Cuenca, and a lot of the ex-pats here have echoed similar sentiments. America has become a rather scary place, where federal prosecutors strip-search consular officials without risk of so much as being fired; SWAT teams routinely break down doors in military-style raids; and every police chief wants drones armed with rubber bullets (well, rubber for now), cameras, and tear gas. The Constitution? What Constitution?!?

As the estimable Conrad Black expressed so clearly, I love America but I can´t say I like it any more. It breaks my heart what has happened to our wonderful America, especially over the past five years. It will take many years of hard work, an iron will, and true and loving dedication to bring America back from the brink. Sadly, the MSM is doing all that it can to undermine any such sentiments and any such efforts.

This controversy is already another Rohrschach inkblot test for anyone commenting.

If you can´t get this one figured out, it would explain a lot about
whatever else you might be thinking (such as that Rick Perry is a viable
candidate for president, etc)...

Christie is Mister Hot Dog, thinks he´s sharp as a tack.
His administration was out of control.
Would you want a clueless idiot with whiny excuses to be our next POS POTUS??

This bridge (and I have successfully driven over it back in the day)
is the nation´s busiest bridge, in our most important metropolitan area.

For FOUR DAZE these idiots effed with it.
And the Fat Guber sez he didn´t know?
How stupid is he?
How stupid does he think we are?
Who wants this pig for president?
He´s a liberoid Blue State nut anyway.
Loves to suck up to NO-Bomber, too.

This was a public safety hazard.
(NOT "a few traffic cones")...
It should not have ever been allowed.
Once it commenced, it should have been corrected within hours at most.

For this to go on FOUR DAZE and the idiot sez he´s too dumb to know
about it, speaks volumes.

Christie is unqualified to be a guber or a POS POTUS.
His staff is crap.

And on a side note...
When referencing the current POS POTUS and the FLOTUS, we must always
be more respectful and observe proper decorum, such as using correct
spelling of monikers.

Wookiee is spelled with two E´s.
Whereas her Oreo husband is just an ordinary cookie, with one E.
And remember...
"Don´t let them eat cake!! Or anything else they might enjoy!!"
As spoken by... The Wookiee.

The cash infusion by the federal government is actually going to help the city pay pensions, even though they´re playing a kind of shell game with the money. As for "blight removal," perhaps they could start with city hall. It’s been a long time since Johnny Carson slept in the tiny upstairs room in the modest little house at 306 S. 13th St. in Norfolk. Carson was born in Iowa and moved to Norfolk with his family in the 1930s. They lived in at least one other house in Norfolk before moving into to the white, wood-frame structure on 13th Street. Built in the 1920s, the house featured a small kitchen, dining room and living room on the main floor, while the second floor contained a bathroom, several bedrooms and an enclosed porch. The tweet included the text: “Hey @SenatorReid here’s a shot of @MittRomney paying taxes. Does it every year. Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast
