BBC Editor: Ignoring Immigration
Concerns a ´Terrible Mistake

Breitbart´s Big Journalism, by Frances Martel

BBC Political Editor Nick Robinson is lashing out at his own company for what he calls "terrible mistakes" in covering the UK´s internal immigration debate. The network, he alleges, decided on its own that concerns about large influxes of immigrants were "not acceptable views" and did not cover them. Robinson, who is speaking out against his own network´s immigration coverage before the release of the new BBC documentary The Truth About Immigration, has told several media outlets that the new reporting is meant to correct what has been a chronic deficiency in coverage of immigration at the network: that concerns about

Comments:
The ultimate conclusion is that politicians everywhere are the main problem in the immigration debate. They will not take action nor allow existing laws to be enforced due to politics, not concerns of law or Constitution.

Yes they are, OP, BUT ONLY because the PEOPLE are shoving it down the pol´s throats. That seems to be the only way anything gets done these days. It´s either the people or business and business is winning here. I have had my own business, I am not in any way anti business, BUT with the CoC and big biz antics against the people, they´ve brought on a war they will rue they ever started. How STUPID can you get?? Without consumers business isn´t. Unless, of course you can get the government to mandate that you purchase something. I´m looking at you Insurance companies. BTW, how´s that working out for ya???

If you’re going to win in politics you first have to know what politics actually is.{SNIP}The base of the GOP is still primarily made up of those willing to pledge their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor for the cause of liberty. But they are lions led by lambs in the feckless GOP leadership. They are not warriors. They are bureaucrats. The difference is a warrior takes territory while a bureaucrat protects his own.

Paul Ryan: Immigration Reform

“To me, it’s not a question of ‘if’ we fix our broken immigration laws,” Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan said Wednesday, “it’s really a question of ‘when.’” Ryan, who was making the economic case for reforming our nation’s immigration system, was speaking at a breakfast hosted by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Ryan called the nation’s immigration laws “chief” among the problems that are curbing economic growth. Noting the rate of retirement among baby boomers, Ryan said reforming the immigration system is necessary to fill future jobs. “Please know that we understand the value of immigration,” Ryan told the crowd. “We

A group of conservative House Republicans put a Medicare “doc fix” bill in mortal peril with their objections – but then acquiesced to a plan from GOP leadership to pass it without a vote. The vote was repeatedly delayed this morning as top Republicans scrambled to find the necessary votes for the legislation. Making the problem more difficult: the bill was brought to the floor under suspension of the rules, meaning it needed a 2/3 majority rather than the normal 1/2 majority. Huddling with leadership in an ornate room off the House floor, a group of GOP lawmakers who form

When House Republicans penned their Pledge to America in 2010, they convinced American voters they would advance a conservative agenda if they regained control of the House that year. Four years later, what promises have they actually delivered? ObamaCare is still intact, our national debt has grown by $3 trillion, and Republicans have capitulated to Democrats on every issue from the debt ceiling to the budget. Republican leaders in both the House and the Senate have failed conservatives and have failed to keep their Pledge to America. Let’s examine how the GOP pledge has fallen flat. Maine’s tea party governor, reared in poverty, is on a mission to reform the state’s welfare system. Gov. Paul LePage rolled out a four-proposal package on Monday that will get committee hearings in the legislature Tuesday afternoon. The reforms, which mostly tighten restrictions around the program, are part of an ongoing crusade against what LePage has described as a bloated program. “Big, expensive welfare programs riddled with fraud and abuse threaten our future,” he said in his state of the state speech last month. “Too many Mainers are dependent on government handouts. Government dependency has not — and never will— create prosperity.”

One of the top Republican congressional staffers on the Benghazi investigation founded a consulting firm comprised of numerous former Clinton aides and a former CIA director accused of lying to Congress about the attack, Fox News reported Monday. J. Michael Allen is the founder and managing director of Beacon Global Strategies. He previously served as the staff director for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, chaired by GOP Rep. Allen´s new business partners at Beacon include: Philippe Reines, a dyed-in-the-wool Clinton hatchet man who worked for Clinton from 2002 until

Contrary to rumors that the Tea Party is in demise, if Republicans gain control of the Senate and retain control of the House after November, the Tea Party versus establishment battle may just be getting started. Statistician Nate Silver gave the GOP a 60% chance of taking back the Senate, and the Los Angeles Times noted that the Tea Party is getting ready for its next phase of promoting policies to lower the debt and mitigate or repeal Obamacare. Grassroots conservatives, having given the GOP its House majority back in 2010, felt snubbed when the establishment tried to blunt their

The State Department has no idea what happened to $6 billion used to pay its contractors. In a special “management alert” made public Thursday, the State Department’s Inspector General Steve Linick warned “significant financial risk and a lack of internal control at the department has led to billions of unaccounted dollars over the last six years. The alert was just the latest example of the federal government’s continued struggle with oversight over its outside contractors. The lack of oversight “exposes the department to significant financial risk,” the auditor said. “It creates conditions conducive to fraud, as corrupt individuals may attempt

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

Why does Hillary Clinton hate America? That is the question that should be on everyone’s mind as she embarks on a worldwide tour to plug her forthcoming memoir. Check out this THE POLITICO article [emphasis mine]: Hillary Clinton discussed her work at the State Department, called for young women not to take criticisms personally and rapped the media for treating powerful women with a double standard at the kickoff of “Women in the World” in New York City Thursday night. Clinton’s appearance on a panel with International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, moderated by New York Times columnist Tom Friedman, ran

Earlier this week on Boston’s WRKO-AM’s The Howie Carr Show, conservative commentator Ann Coulter shocked some conservatives when she said she is making 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney her favorite for the 2016 Republican contest. Coulter, however, wishes otherwise. “Well, don´t tell him but I´m planning on giving Mitt Romney a little more time to rest -- flying out, kidnapping him and depriving him of sleep, food and

Former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has sworn off running again for elected office, but Americans have certainly heard that one before. Speculation that Romney might run again has largely been stoked by the reunion he planned to host last month in Park City, Utah, for members of his 2012 campaign and debate team and a string of recent public appearances. He has appeared on TV news shows 12 times in the past six months. That’s essentially on pace with Michigan GOP Rep.
