Krauthammer on Gates revelations
about Obama: ´How can a
commander-in-chief do that?´

Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer said Tuesday on "Special Report with Bret Baier" that former Obama Defense Secretary Robert Gates’ revelation in his new memoir that his commander-in-chief didn’t believe in the war in Afghanistan and subsequent surge in troops was shocking. “Obama doesn’t believe in the surge or in the war, or in his own actions,” Krauthammer said, “He doesn’t believe in [General] Petraeus, he hates [Afghan President] Karzai, he thinks the war isn’t his. How can a commander-in-chief do that?” Krauthammer went on to say he assumed President Obama didn’t believe in the war,

Regardless . Gates is still an institutional vandal who stood by and allowed Obama to open the military to openly Gay people who will ruin the service. In 500 years when someone writes The Rise and Fall of the American Republic his name will be oft mention in the closing chapters .

It should be clear to all but the most childish among us, that Øbama is on a very deliberate mission to destroy this once great nation- our economy, our society, our heritage and our military. He´s doing very well at it and is not finished in his task by a long shot. To think otherwise is to assign to Øbama a level of incompetence that would make a person like that incapable of daily ablutions or even feeding himself. Since Øbama is not a subsiting idiot, we must assume, confidently, the former is the circumstance.

Most of those on camera won´t go out on a limb and state what most be us have concluded after observing Obama and other Democrats for the last five years.
But you´d think that after all the lies and bad policies and corruption and cronyism and self-indulgence and pay-offs, that somebody would finally call these evil destructive people what they are. Maybe they fear calling a spade a spade would kick them off television.

Gates should not get a pass. He aided and abetted everything he says was bad in the 0 administration. He provided his stature and imprimatur to everything he now decries. He did not speak out when it could have mattered before the 2nd election. He did not noisily resign to alert the nation of all he now says he knew. He is complicit and not deserving of the profits from this book nor the kudos he is getting for exposing this fraudster.

Democrats have wanted nothing from the War On Terror but another Vietnam, an American loss they can crow about while waving their red flags of moral superiority. How awful for our brave troops to have to serve under a subversive, anti-American commander in chief, and Miss Hillary will be no better. For the Left, "winning" = America losing. It will always, always be thus.

Is CK running for office or is it because he has a book out that we see his opinions almost every day? Frankly, I don´t give a rat´s patootie about what Dr. K thinks about anything. If he wasn´t smart enough to figure Obama out in 2008, I don´t need to listen to him now.

I agree with the majority of posters this morning. What took Dr. K so long to recognize Obama´s agenda? Evidently, the elites inside the beltway have a very difficult time seeing past the elegance, crease in the pants, and the faux intellectual ability of the light bringer to recognize a soulless con man who is driven by anti-American philosophy spoon fed to him by communists, domestic terrorists, and bigoted men of the cloth. It just goes to show that big fancy degrees don´t necessarily equal simple discernment. The lack of curiosity about Obama when there were red flags flying all over the place only confirms what the folks in flyover country already knew. Many commentators were blinded by the "he´s one of us" facade that prevented them from peering behind the mask to see the real man. Chiding others who weren´t taken in by Obama´s con, was the betrayal. Ultimately, they were right, and you, Dr. Krauthammer were conned. Now who should leave the room?

I think old clueless liberal Charles Krauthammer is just getting all ´chattery´ with his wordy words because he has a book to sell. Fox News is his outlet.
Krauthammer sang praises for the first black ´experiment´ president in 2008 so why should I care what he rails about now.
Krauthammer is just another pompous pundit. When Steve Hayes talks I listen.

The good news, Gates broke through Washington´s sickness of silence, and he took long enough to cleverly combine his "revelations" with a big bucks book deal. This cowardly but clever fellow is another whistleblower, late or not. 2014 will bring more truth reveallers than all the five preceding ObamaHitlerStalin years.
Now, look at the thick wisdom of the kindly, scholarly Charles K. IMAGINE the insider knowledge that HE, Krauthammer, is withholding right at this moment ! ! !
Late or not, cautious or not, America needs a river of insiders, like Gates and Krauthammer, TO OPEN UP, FULL BLAST, and let loose with the truth.

Bless Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, BUT they are only a timid beginning of what is needed to stop this tyrannical
administration and crazed, drunken Congress with their Machiavellian lobbyists, lawyers and Diane Sawyers !

Obama is NOT American, in spirit or reality.

In 2008, he would not wear a flag pin. He didn´t place his hand over his heart when the national anthem was played.

When Obama came into office he had forces in both Afghanistan and Iraq, effectively bookending Iran. He had Iraq as a long term air base which relieved a huge amount of the stress of using Saudi as our launching point. It has taken him 5 years, but he has almost completely eliminated our ability to project force in the region. Give him another year and he will be able to say that we simply don´t have the ability to stop Iran from getting nukes.

To continue #27´s list, never forget and remind everyone who will listen: Obama said in his book Audacity of Hope "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

How can anyone come to any other conclusion but that Obama is out to destroy America as we know it and institute a form of Sharia law on our shores?

#23, you bring up an important point: again, where was Gates when everyone knew that the military ballots were not being processed in a timely manner (or at all)?

It is offensive to me that Gates still asserts that BO is not anti-military when every policy has been so harmful and even deadly to our military.

What is disturbing about Krauthammer and others like him is their lack of moral clarity and the failure to stand on moral truth, on Truth.

Everything is political calculation. And big bucks. Brings to mind the last days of the Roman Republic...

Thanks to #28 for pointing out the geopolitical advantage of some presence in Iraq.

#29, it´s hard for me to believe that Hussein is seriously interested in Sharia because I doubt he is seriously interested in hardcore Islam, even if Islam is where his heart is. It is my understanding that a lot of Indonesian Islam is somewhat loose & unconventional (not all!), and from what I´ve read about Lolo I wouldn´t think he would be of the hardcore persuasion. I also think one can safely assume Mooch wouldn´t be into Sharia. I think they lean more Marxist than Muslim.

As for Gates - it´s hard to judge without having read the book - but it was shocking to read that he misrepresented himself in meetings and didn´t express his real opinions. It´s also frustrating how "even-handed" he appears. Reminds me of Jamie Dupree - the original Mr. "Fingers Pointing at Each Other."

At least Dr Krauthammer didn´t tell Howard Kurtz in a Washington Post interview in Feb 2008 ,
that he wanted Obama or Hillary to win the presidency
if McCain was the Republican nominee.
As Rush Limbaugh did .
How could Limbaugh say that ???
Google " Limbaugh on McCain : I´d Rather Be Right All The Time " Feb 5, 2008 , Washington Post.
Krauthammer made an excellent point:
"However, Krauthammer said Gates’
confirmation of this is
“an indictment of the president that rises above everything else he’s done in his presidency.”
Obama did to the military what he´s doing to health care.
I´ve always felt that Obama´s outright Dereliction of Duty in regards to the surge , the war
in Iraq , Afghanistan and the WOT was always grounds for impeachment.

How in the world could Dr. K even ask "How can a commander-in-chief do that?” as it relates to 0bama?? That´s just 0bama being 0bama! I will truly never understand how someone as cogent and brilliant as him couldn´t see what 0bama was the first time around. I don´t know if he was so intent on being "fair and balanced" that he gave 0bama the benefit of the doubt on almost everything prior to even the first election. Those of us here knew exactly what we were going to get and the elites in Washington like Krauthammer would consider us as uneducated pathetic rubes who have no idea what is going on. For Krauthammer to even utter the words that "0bama would lead from the center" was stunning, and is still shocking. Absolutely none of these revelations are surprising.

I am amazed by pundits that they don´t see obozo for what he is: not principled ideologue, but politician through and through. That strategy is many years old. At least 100 years. Lenin said (it is not a direct quote) that to reject compromises “on principle”, to reject the permissibility of compromises in general, no matter of what kind, is childishness, difficult even to consider seriously.

There were ONLY TWO on-air commentators who dared to speak the truth about Obama BEFORE it became too late.... Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity.

Glenn was unceremoniously dumped by FNC for being too inflammatory (and those who complained about him included Dr. K), and Sean has been shunted off to a later hour.

Fortunately, after Beck left FNC, Sean became even more vocal, and extremely repetitive. But he tried then, and he´s still trying now.

I have no real respect for the TeeVee Super-Smarts and Electeds who refused to accept or even investigate what we all tried to tell the country, MORE THAN five years ago. Obama is NOT ´´just another Democrat´´. He wasn´t then, and he certainly isn´t now.

But who´s gonna do anything about it?

Gates should have exhibited some honor sooner, IMHO. But, even though late to the party, and now apparently for monetary reward, he finds his conscience.

How many died because he waited this long? Still, I hope he´s the first of many more to come. Our nation needs a thorough cleansing.

Both could have done something about revealing who and what Obama was, is and always will be. Instead, both waited until it was too late for America but great in the short term for their own wallets. THAT is the story and continues to be ad infinitum with these people. The United States of America is OVER. You are simply the governed and the thing you think is "consent" no longer exists.

The administration’s “smart diplomacy” does not include providing aid to those who fight internal oppression or outside aggression and whose victory potentially would obviate the need for direct U.S. action. Hence, President Obama gave Iran’s Green Revolution the cold shoulder in June 2009. He denied aid, and then dragged his feet on delivering aid to non-jihadi rebels in Syria. Now, it should come as no surprise, he is unwilling to provide Ukraine with military aid or intelligence to defend itself against Russian aggression.

WASHINGTON — The Census Bureau, the authoritative source of health insurance data for more than three decades, is changing its annual survey so thoroughly that it will be difficult to measure the effects of President Obama’s health care law in the next report, due this fall, census officials said. The changes are intended to improve the accuracy of the survey, being conducted this month in interviews with tens of thousands of households around the country. But the new questions are so different that the findings will not be comparable, the officials said. An internal Census Bureau document said that the new questionnaire

Very few of the young Americans who carried President Obama to electoral victory in 2008 have chosen to follow him into public service, The New York Times reports on Monday. Which made us wonder who inspired the current Congress to seek office. The answer? Two Republican stalwarts. There are a lot of caveats that should be applied to the Times story, not the least of which is that most candidates for office tend to skew a little older than the 18-year-olds that cast their first votes six years ago. But regardless, Jason Horowitz writes, "[u]nlike John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan,

That’s when he made a mistake, which led to one of the worst bugs ever in the Internet known as “Heartbleed,” a flaw in the security infrastructure (OpenSSL) for a large swath of the Web. Nowadays, it’s unusual for someone to step up and take responsibility, But Seggelmann, a German developer, did just that.

I never wanted to be a pawn in President Obama’s absurd and irresponsible attempt to mandate, regulate and complicate the American health care system. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much of a choice. I was a casualty of Mr. Obama’s Big Lie. You know the one: “If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan.” By the time my plan vanished, the only individual health insurance plans available had been captured by the tentacles of Obamacare. Signing up for insurance under Obamacare was harder than making sense of Donald Trump’s hair. It took more than 20 attempts over

NEW YORK — Millions of passwords, credit card numbers and other personal information may be at risk as a result of a major breakdown in Internet security revealed earlier this week. The damage caused by the "Heartbleed" bug is currently unknown. The security hole exists on a vast number of the Internet´s Web servers and went undetected for more than two years. While it´s conceivable that the flaw was never discovered by hackers, it´s nearly impossible to tell. There isn´t much that people can do to protect themselves until the affected websites implement a fix. Here are answers to some common questions about

Embattled Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has resigned. The President will formally announce the resignation during our show today. He will nominate budget director Sylvia Mathews Burwell to replace the controversial HHS Secy. Sebelius has been the face of Healthcare.gov and the botched rollout and has survived withering criticism.. until now. We´ll have analysis plus we´ve put together a panel to discuss what changes we´ve seen to health care as a result of the ACA so far. A House committee voted yesterday to hold former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner in contempt for refusing to answer its questions about

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Chelsea Clinton says when people ask her these days whether she wants to go into politics, her answer isn’t an automatic “no.” The 34-year-old former first daughter told Fast Company in an interview published Monday, “for so long the answer was just a visceral no. Not because I had made any conscientious, deliberate decision, but since people had been asking for as long as literally I could remember, it was no." Now, the only child of former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explains, "I live in a city and a state and a country where I

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Megyn Kelly’s "Kelly File" is a great news show. She’s incisive, informed and customarily handles the toughest guest with aplomb. But her lengthy interview of Facebook C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg about her second book in the Lean In series Lean In: For Graduates was a head shaker. Amazing that she of all people allowed Sandberg to restring the same old, same old, shamed, and shopworn feminist myths about women and girls and then jangle it in front of her viewing audience like something new out of the box. Indeed Kelly all but genuflected in front of this woman. Kept her on thru

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast

A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. The fighter appeared to be unarmed and never was in danger of
