OKLAHOMA CITY — A satanic group unveiled designs Monday for a 7-foot-tall statue of Satan it wants to put at the Oklahoma state Capitol, where a Ten Commandments monument was placed in 2012. The New York-based Satanic Temple formally submitted its application to a panel that oversees the Capitol grounds, including an artist´s rendering that depicts Satan as Baphomet, a goat-headed figure with horns, wings and a long beard that´s often used as a symbol of the occult. In the rendering, Satan is sitting in a pentagram-adorned throne with smiling children next to him. "The monument has been designed to

Now that I think about it - having a statue of the devil outside of a building full of elected officials and government workers seems like a rather good idea. "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here."

How many times will the media mistakenly try to interview it thinking it is a politician.
Although, I do find it disgusting, it may have value, since it is a biblical concept. Time people wake up to the fact that Satan is real and a force to reckon with in life.

I thought these people were atheists. Are they telling us that Satan is their god? What exactly is the purpose of this statue? Is it just to upset us or are they making some king of argument and, if so, what is it?

FTA: Their rendering is "a goat-headed figure with horns, wings and a long beard". Are they stereotyping Satan? This is what they place next to the 10 Commandments? This is supposed to inspire what? One is a pretty good list of living well, regardless of your beliefs and the other is Tim Curry having a chat with some kids.

If Satan is real then God is real. Satan represents evil; God represents good. Why would a government allow a statue of evil be put up. Isn´t there enough evil in the world without putting up a statue for all to see. How sad. God´s wrath may soon follow.

But they couldn´t find ever one native Oklahoman to act as their spokesman??

Why should any out-of-state organization expect a public venue if they can´t find even one local member in favor of the statue??

Google executive Jacquelline Fuller has resigned in protest from the board of international poverty ministry World Vision amid a growing call for her departure after the group’s decision to reinstate its policy excluding gay Christians from becoming missionaries.
