GOP Establishment´s War on
Tea Party Comes to Texas

Breitbart Big Government, by Tony Lee

Original Article

The Republican establishment´s war against the Tea Party has come to Texas. According to a report in the Dallas Morning News, "Some of Texas’ biggest business trade groups are moving to counter tea party and anti-government forces that have dominated recent Republican primaries." The Texas Future Business Alliance, described as a "mix of 10 major business groups, including the chemical industry, bankers, builders and contractors," is reportedly "sending out mailers and providing other support on behalf of GOP candidates" who favor more government spending and want to take on the Tea Party. A person involved in the Texas Future Business Alliance who

IMHO this is all about amnesty. Conservatives should either sit out the minimum wage fight or join with the dems to pass a "living wage" as a payback to the CoC.

OP, you have a point. The Demcrat-lites in the GOP will overplay their weak hand on "we hate conservatives!"

So let´s see: They promote larger government; amnesty for illegals; weaker military; more deficit spending; weak foreign policy; higher taxes and forget the constitution.

But, why vote for the Establishment GOP when you can vote for real Democrats? We´ll see how well the Low-Ts do when they go along to get along with the status quo.

The GOP is known as the stupid party for good reason. They do not realize how many of their voters are aligned or are TeaPartiers. They can not win any elections without the support of the TeaParty voters. They are seriously out of touch.

I´d like one of these companies to show me a single example in which increased government spending led to a company´s economic growth. The last time I checked the Space Center was still for sale. Texas refineries that planned on getting very heavy crude from Canada via the Keystone XL pipeline will get it faster by helping Mexico get it out of the ground. Mexico´s deregulation of oil production will lead to more Texas growth than any US government program.

More gov´t spending = more taxes and more borrowing which = more taxes. Taxes are not called a burden for no reason. Gov´t may have one hand on the steering wheel and a foot on the brakes but free people have the other hand on the wheel and have the gas pedal and are paying for the fuel. What does more burden help?

Coward. C´mon, tell us who you are. We need more names of people and businesses in the "business community" so that we can give them the Chick-fil-A/Duck Dynasty treatment. I´m really getting tired of these "off the record" or anonymous "gutsy" declarations.

Yet another article showing the GOP establishment bashing their own. That being said, why do the Moderates here always blame the Conservatives for bashing the RINO´s? It is not a fight we started. We are simply trying to bring back the GOP to the Right of Center. The Moderates have moved Left, we are still where we have always been.

Scientists believe that over the last two billion years or so, there have been as many as seventeen times that Earth has experienced an Ice Age. They suspect an Ice Age when they see shifts in geological formations that are so severe that the only explanation appears to be glaciers forming and moving large quantities of land from one part of the continent to another part. Each Ice Age is estimated to have lasted for at least 100,000 years, with some lasting millions of years. Each was eventually followed by a period of gradual warming, resulting in the glaciers melting and

One of the hallmarks of the Obama administration is that it is among the most corrupt administrations in living memory. The degree of corruption and thuggery to which many administration members have stooped would make even Boss Tweed of Tammany Hall fame blush. But what’s truly remarkable about the Obama administration is that its corruption is so unabashed. Among the most corrupt functionaries of the Obama regime is Attorney General Eric Holder, who appears to be Obama’s alter ego and enforcer. From day one he let America know that he held most of its citizens in contempt by proclaiming that the American

The back-and-forth drama on the House Oversight Committee has gotten heated over the past few months. Last month, Elijah Cummings threw a fit when Issa shut down a hearing after retired IRS Director Lois Lerner plead the Fifth Amendment. A bombshell revelation has brought the IRS scandal to a new level. Judicial Watch has released internal IRS communications revealing that former Tax Exempt Organizations director Lois Lerner was in contact with the Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding whether it was possible to criminally prosecute tax-exempt groups she believed had “lied” about their political activity. Judicial Watch obtained the documents by successfully filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the IRS in October 2013, following the agency’s stonewall of four FOIA requests dating back to the previous May.

The ultimate party litmus test: given a veto-proof legislature, will Republicans finally start to reduce the scope and size of government? It looks like the answer is no. In 2013, North Carolina was just one of 25 states where Republican governors were given historic opportunity to govern alongside Republican-controlled legislatures. Despite conservative voters’ best hopes, any sensible mandate to restore individual and economic freedom flew out the window when the FY 2013-14 budget was approved, reauthorizing the formerly Democratic state’s blueprint budget with a tragic 2.0-percent increase in general fund appropriations.

The GOP is operating on the belief that everyone is on board, simply because insiders have officially decreed it to be so. However, the grassroots in the USA remains unconvinced.
