Utah Gun Maker Rejects $15M
Opportunity to Supply Guns to Pakistan

Cybercast News Service, by Matt Vespa

So, what would you say if a quasi-failed state was willing to pay you $15 million to manufacture precision rifles for its military? I´m hoping you would turn them down, especially when this quasi-failed state is Pakistan. The chances of those rifles falling into enemy hands to be used to cut down American forces is just too great - and, that´s why one Utah-based gun manufacturer said, "Thanks, but, no thanks" to the multi-million dollar bonanza. AP explains: "Mike Davis, sales manager at Desert Tech, said the company was on a short list for a contract with Pakistan, but spurned

They should go to Obama and ask him to get them a contract for a 5M bonus and they would have a solid contract. And when he moves on he can take his family and move to a country where the morning call to prayer is the most beautiful sound in the world.

So 53 percent of Americans disapprove of ObamaCare. But is it me or Republicans behaving like it´s a 100 percent? Because I don´t know about you, but hanging your election hat on 53 percent seems dicey to me. I´m not saying ObamaCare won´t be and shouldn´t be an issue. But stopping action on any other issue in the meantime looks pretty stupid. Look, I was the first to say this Affordable Care Act wasn´t affordable and the promises behind it were just an act. But this Republican act of sitting on the ball and running out the clock, hoping it

Jimmy Carter has been very active in the decades since his presidency, and his successors have occasionally called for his advice. Except, it turns out, the current occupant of the office. A clip from Carter’s upcoming Meet the Press interview reveals that President Obama is the first president since Carter left office not to solicit the Southern Democrat’s advice. Carter explained, “President Clinton did and President George W. Bush and H.W. Bush and even Ronald Reagan used to call on us to go into sensitive areas.” They all asked Carter to deal with “unsavory characters,” but Obama hasn’t reached out to

Last week, President Obama directed his Homeland Security Department to examine its current deportation practices -- "to see how it can conduct enforcement more humanely, within the confines of the law," the White House announced on March 13. But with immigration reform stalled in Congress, what more can Obama do? "I think he´s going to wait until August," said Telemundo anchor and immigration-reform advocate José Díaz-Balart. And if Congress doesn´t act on immigration reform by then, "I wouldn´t be surprised if he starts making some very controversial executive orders to mitigate the pain of millions of people who face deportation," Díaz-Balart told

Susan Rice, national security adviser to President Barack Obama, said on Friday that the administration still believes there is a diplomatic solution to the crisis in Ukraine as Russian troops mobilized along the country’s entire eastern border. CBS News reported on Friday that a mass mobilization of Russian forces was taking place on Ukraine’s eastern border with at least twice as many troops as the 20,000 number originally reported. The defense “exercise” included tanks and tactical aircraft and appeared to show signs of a logistical buildup required for a sustained operation. Obama on Thursday announced additional sanctions against Kremlin officials and oligarchs

Now that Michelle Obama’s mother has caused a disruption on the latest exotic vacation for the first lady, perhaps it is time for some answers about why Marian Robinson is even on the trip to China. In 2011, over 8,000 kids were suspended from preschool — preschool! — in America. More than half were black, despite comprising less than half of the student population. Sure, we can entertain a lot of theories why this is the case, but I am going to go with this one: America has a problem with racism. The odds are probably better than even that you will be annoyed by that. Which is fine. I accept that response. And there are a lot of possibilities that could explain how this bit of data is an aberration. As the Associated Press reports, the

Do you still naively assume that rampant immorality, political corruption, inability to effectuate regime change without violence and bloodletting, failure to curb runaway inflation, the complete over extension of military resources and the eventual drought of plunder were among the reasons for the fall of Rome? That goes beyond hypocritical, and I think the American media and the international media has every right to call her and the Obama administration on that — that they permitted that to happen,” said Tom Whalen, a political history professor at Boston University. “It makes you shake your head, albeit sadly.” The first lady stopped at Peking University in Beijing yesterday
