The representative of a human rights group headed by a designated al Qaeda terrorist was denied a visa by the State Department after being invited by congressional Democrats to discuss drone strikes. Mohammad Al Ahmady, the Yemen director for Geneva-based NGO Al Karama, was expected to brief Reps. Alan Grayson (D., Fla.), Barbara Lee (D., Calif.), and Jan Schakowsky (D., Ill.) the morning of the Nov. 19, according to press release from Grayson’s office. Ahmady, who also serves as a top official in an al Qaeda-linked Yemeni political party, did not attend because of visa issues. The State Department said

The new dem party...same as the old. Remember when ted kennedy was writing letters to the russians offering to work WITH them in opposition to Pres. Reagan? Or how about when kerry met with the north vietnamese, offering to work WITH them while we were engaged in a war with them? Even going back to the civil war when the dems offered to keep the slaves enslaved as a means of ending that war? They just don´t change their spots....ALWAYS the enemy of the USA.

Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney was irrepressible to the end — recovering from an alleged case of elder abuse with new studio work, star-studded parties and even a former screen siren as his new “best girl.” Even in his waning days, his larger-than-life stardom played out on Facebook. “Valentine’s dinner tonight with my best girl Margaret O’Brien,” he wrote on the social media site in February along with photos of himself with the 77-year-old “Meet Me in St. Louis” star receiving a big heart-shaped box of chocolates from her older beau. A self-described bachelor after separating from his eighth wife, Jan

By April 21, to group says, Americans will have made enough to pay the $3 trillion in federal taxes and $1.5 trillion in state taxes — more than they will spend on food clothing and housing combined. Tax Freedom Day is later than it was last year, due in large

WASHINGTON — I’D been hoping to get the flu. I hadn’t had it in years, and there were so many TV series I’d never seen — “The Wire,” “Breaking Bad,” “House of Cards,” “True Detective” — that required an extended convalescence. When I finally succumbed to a fever and crumpled in bed a couple of weeks ago with saltines and Gatorade, I grabbed the clicker, murmuring, “Alright, alright, alright.” The only celebrated series I had no interest in was “Game of Thrones.” I’m not really a Middle-earth sort of girl. According to a local report, Ted Kennedy Jr., the 52-year-old son of the former senator of the same name and nephew of assassinated president John F. Kennedy, will run for an open seat in the Connecticut state Senate. Kennedy is expected to make the announcement official on Tuesday. Kennedy´s candidacy follows that of his nephew, Joe Kennedy III, who ran for and won a congressional seat in 2012. Prior to that win, no Kennedys had been in major Washington office for the first time in more than 60 decades. Ted Kennedy Jr. was

Jeb’s Jejune Swoon: Why did Jeb Bush say those provocative, seemingly jejune things about illegal border crossing being “not a felony” but ” an act of love? Obviously it’s what he actually thinks. But, again, why did he say it? Two theories: 1) He’s running in 2016 and thinks he can compensate for giving amnesty to all the illegal border crossers (mainly from Mexico) by cracking down and even deporting visa-overstayers (who aren’t so much from Latin America).(Snip)2) He’s not running, but he’s making space for Marco Rubio. Kathryn Riffenburg decided on a closed casket for her baby´s funeral. She didn´t want her family to see what whooping cough, her son´s first illness, had done to 9-week-old Brady Alcaide. The nearly forgotten disease, which has in recent years afflicted thousands of Americans, left Brady´s tiny body swollen and unrecognizable. Students at three Dearborn elementary schools received the flyers. A large number of Muslim students attend the schools. The “Eggstravaganza!” is scheduled to take place on April 12 event at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church

When friends and family members gathered recently at the White House for a private celebration of Michelle Obama’s 50th birthday, one of the invited partygoers was a former paid FBI Mafia informant. That same man attended February’s state dinner in honor of French President Francois Hollande. He was seated with his girlfriend at a table adjacent to President Barack Obama, who is likely unaware that, according to federal agents, his guest once interacted with members of four of New York City’s five organized crime families. Democrats are facing a senior problem that could get even worse this year. The party has traditionally had trouble with older voters, losing the group aged 65 and over by 21 points in 2010 — when Republicans picked up 63 seats — and by 12 points in the 2012 presidential race. Seniors are the GOP’s most reliable voting bloc in midterm years, turning out in higher numbers than Democratic base voters. A recent Gallup poll showed seniors have become even more Republican over the last two decades; in 2013, 48 percent considered themselves Republican. That spells trouble for Democrats, who are already facing

How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever."
