Mark Wahlberg: Making ´Lone

ABC News, by Anja Crowder

It was a Navy SEALs mission gone terribly wrong. One evening in June 2005, four Navy SEALs were sent on a mission to track down Taliban leader Ahmad Shah. As they moved up a mountain in Afghanistan, they were surprised by 3 goat herders. The mission was compromised. (Snip) The special operations chopper that flew in to rescue them was shot down. Luttrell´s SEAL brothers, Danny Dietz, Matt Axelson and Mike Murphy were all killed. They were three of 19 U.S. service members lost that day. Luttrell, the lone survivor of the mission, was left gravely wounded. Then something unlikely

Most of these Hollyweird types haven´t a clue of what it takes to keep them safe so they can bad mouth America and our troops. Hey Mark, none of us like war, but unfortunately with maniacal people in this world, it becomes necessary. As Americans, we need to stand behind our troops and support them however we can! Land of the free because of the Brave! God bless our troops.

I think it´s rather sad that America, rather than winning real wars, seem satisfied with "winning on film". From Chuck Norris, Stallone and movies such as this. Yes sir America really kicks butt on film.

I am going to rescind my personal ban on paying to see Hollywood movies and go see this for two reasons.

I want to support any movie that shows the heroism of our soldiers and based on the above comments about Mark, I believe he deserves our support as well.

Maybe if Hollywood realizes we´re tired of the PC crap they put out, they will change direction. (Wishful thinking, I know!)

So, I heard on the radio that other day that Marcus Lutrell, the SEAL who survived & wrote the book, was driven to tell his comrades´ story. Profits go to a charity to help veterans. Lutrell told the Hollywood types during film negotiations that if they messed up this film and dishonored his fallen friends that he would personally hunt them down & kill them.

As for our family, we wholeheartedly support and admire Marcus Luttrell. It says a lot that his very excellently-written book did not get even more favorable press attention. I have noticed that TV anchors really seem to feel its their duty to keep the praise of our military heroes rather formal and muted. I will defend Mr. Wahlberg to anyone - a brave decent Christian man. Both men will do the families of Marcus´ fallen comrades proud, I am sure, in this upcoming film. I can´t wait to see it.

The movie does bring up rules of engagement, although I doubt the lo-infos will understand what that means. RoE are pretty much why Marcus Lutrell was put in a no win situation and lost his team. Tragic. Every congress jerk who voted for these disastrous restrictions on our troops needs to be drummed out, retired, chased out of town with pitchforks.

ROE. From what I recall reading in the book, these guys had the option to wax the herders but decided instead to let them go and put their lives at risk in this world so that they would be judged more favorably in the next. My takeaway from the short previews during the past week´s football games leads me to believe the dialogue is a bit too Hollywood. Hope I´m wrong.

Chef Vered Guttman braved the challenge of preparing a White House Passover seder in line with Michelle Obama´s healthy eating guidelines and lived to tell her story. "The traditional seder fare is hardly fresh or healthy," Guttman wrote in a post-dinner review about incorporating vegetable sides to "offset some of the Jewish carbs" like gefilte fish and matzo ball soup. And her hard work to keep it healthy paid off, as both the President and First Lady praised her quinoa-kale salad and even inquired after the recipe. The last time her numbers were in that ballpark was during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary race. After she ended her campaign, her favorable/unfavorable split was 47/46. DENVER | Colorado Democrats abandoned their own divisive abortion proposal Wednesday, axing the bill after one lawmaker expressed indecision and it became clear they might not have the votes to pass it in a chamber where every vote matters. Democrats used a legislative maneuver to shelve a bill that would have banned any state regulation of reproductive decisions such as abortion and contraception. It had been scheduled for a vote Wednesday evening in the Senate, where the party holds a slim one-seat majority. The move came after Sen.
