Mayoral hopeful Bill de Blasio has had three
different legal names, court records show

New York Daily News, by Greg B. Smith

Original Article

The mayoral candidate who often calls New York a “tale of two cities” has a personal tale of three names. Most New Yorkers have come to know Bill de Blasio as the Democratic candidate with the affable family, including a teenage son who has been featured in campaign ads. Left unsaid in the candidate’s official biography is that Bill de Blasio is his third legal name. The man who could become the city’s 109th mayor was born Warren Wilhelm Jr. on May 8, 1961, in Manhattan, his birth certificate shows. In 1983, fresh out of New York University, he petitioned a Manhattan judge

Hizzoner´s response when he was simply asked about this:

"I still think it’s wrong criticizing someone for doing that.”

His spokesman´s response when asked about this:

"To suggest that there is anything wrong with changing one’s name for deeply personal reasons is absurd.”

Well, Hizzoner sure is touchy and thin-skinned, isn´t he? And plenty odd. I could understand if he had been born Warren Hitler Jr. or something awful, and wanted to change his name. But Warren Wilhelm Jr.? That seems pretty benign to me.

I get the feeling New Yorkers are going to discover a lot of things about their new mayor.

Right, it was to honor his mother´s family, it had nothing to do with the fact that an Italian name might garner more votes than the last name Wilhelm. And why did he change his first name from Warren to Bill? How did that honor his mother´s family?

Probably best to let this one go.

Today the democratic mayoral candidate for New York City Bill De Blasio released a statement the his father, Warren Wilhelm, had killed himself in 1979. In July of that year, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, Wilhelm parked his car in front of the Rocky River Motel in New Milford, Connecticut, and shot himself.....

The New York Post published today that Wilhelm served in the military during World War II and fought in the Battle of Okinawa, often considered one of the most violent battles of the war.

In the battle, Wilhelm reportedly lost part of his leg and suffered severe psychological damage from which he would never recover.

And dad became an alcoholic.

http://www.heavy.com/news/2013/09/warren-wilhelm-bill-de-blasio-mayor-father-dad-suicide-1979/

It is clear that Warren Wilhalm, Jr., wanted no association with dad Warren Wilhelm, Sr.
He eased away over time, in stages, but that is the way this looks.

I have known many liberals in my life. they all live full blown lifes of fantasy that constantly crumble as they go from stage to stage. They seem unaffected, merely dust themselves off, change their curcumstanses and like this loon, sometimes their names and go on to their next destruction event as if nothing happened. They really are that clueless. They do suffer from a strange mental disease. It´s as if gravity does not exist for them.

After his health-care law surpassed the low-ball enrollment target of 7 million, President Obama staged a Rose Garden rally and zinged doubters: “Armageddon has not arrived.” At least he did not declare: “Mission Accomplished.”The country is years from knowing whether Obama’s overhaul of the health-care system fulfills the promise of delivering universal coverage. While large numbers of Americans have found the program very advantageous, including people who were formerly uninsured, many others have been forced to change plans or change doctors — contrary to Obama’s repeated promises.Obama tacitly admits the unintended consequences every time he waives a deadline or mandate in

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

The author of the Twilight of Abundance, David Archibald, sent an email a few days ago, saying “there is a whole new world coming.” Archibald, who’s an Australian, warns in his book that the world is running out of food, energy and security. Where he differs from Malthus, however, is in arguing that the shortages are the consequence of policy, rather than the inherent limitations of the universe. The world is doing everything it can to run in the opposite direction of abundance because we think we have too much. The West dreads warmer weather, even though warmer weather might

In Texas, political opposition to President Obama’s health law is so strong that some residents believe, erroneously, that the program is banned in their state. But in Connecticut, a smoothly functioning website, run by competent managers, has successfully enrolled so many patients that officials are offering to sell their expertise to states like Maryland, which is struggling to sign people up for coverage.
