A Brooklyn man was busted for a string of assaults against women that some have connected to the infamous “knockout game,” authorities said Friday. Barry Baldwin, 35, was charged with five incidents in which Jewish women were viciously punched for no apparent reason. “Everyone will sleep a little easier,” said Assemblyman Dov Hikind, who has been warning the community about the menace. Police picked up Baldwin last week, connected him to six incidents and charged him with six hate crimes because he targeted Jewish victims, sources said. He was arraigned Monday on five assaults, none as a hate crime, according to

Black guy goes around beating Jewish (presumably white) women, and it´s not a hate crime. Bail only $10K, which depending on bond rules could could mean he can walk free for a thousand bucks cash.

Eric "the Red" Holder must love his black brothers who play knockout on whitey, and now especially on Jews, because he hasn´t prosecuted a single one on Federal "hate crimes".

Personally, I would like to see that entire "Hate Crime" law repealed and made illegal. Hate is a mental attitude sin and is not something the government should be regulating. When hate, lust, envy, or anger turns from a mental state to a physical one, then charge the SOB with assault and battery, period. I don´t like the slippery slope of "Hate Crime" legislationl. Sounds too Orwellian to me.

In the 100´s of Knockout Game arrests, only 1 was white & Holder immediately charged him with a hate crime.... and none of the black offenders. Without strong mandatory sentencing... this will not stop.

Also... this is not a "kid" playing a game. This is s 35 yr. old man, committing a serious adult assault.

A new review is questioning the effectiveness of two key drugs enlisted in the fight against influenza and in turn the investments by governments to stockpile the drugs in the event of a global flu outbreak. The antiviral drugs Tamiflu (oseltamivir) and Relenza (zanamivir ) are commonly used to treat influenza in healthy adults and children. In the case of Tamiflu, the drug does shorten symptoms of influenza by about half a day - as the manufacturer suggests - but there is insufficient evidence to support claims that it reduces hospital admissions or serious complications, such as confirmed pneumonia or

The chamber voted 25-2 in favor of the bill sponsored by Republican Sen. Mae Beavers of Mt. Juliet. Beavers said the measure would maintain the current background checks and training requirements in order to carry concealed firearms, but would allow anyone legally allowed to own a gun to carry it openly without any extra restrictions. Beavers said on the Senate floor that requiring a carry permit "converts the right to carry a handgun into a privilege."

How does the Republican Party establishment choose its presidential candidate? Typically, constitutionalists accuse their establishment rivals of being moderate, risk-averse, stubborn old fools who lack faith in conservative principles. This is a soothing interpretation, as it begins from the hypothesis that the contest between conservatives and the GOP elite is a family feud. But there is another hypothesis -- less soothing, but, at least from an outsider´s bird´s-eye view, more reconcilable with the facts. This hypothesis is that America has reached a stage of progressive soft despotism in which the only important family feud in national politics is between the fundamentally

Given the crush of traffic on Healthcare.gov in late March, many more people could have signed up over those last three days than were captured by these numbers. On the other hand, the White House was claiming six million sign-ups as of March 27. There’s no way to reconcile that with RAND’s data. One of them is wrong. Maybe both, in fact.
