What Obama’s TV picks
really tell us about him

Washington Free Beacon, by Matthew Continetti

Original Article

Imagine my surprise this week when my daily paper suddenly turned into a copy of US Weekly. With a turn of the page the New York Times became the sort of celebrity magazine that dispenses trivia in order to prove that a rich, famous, and powerful person is, at heart, just like us. The luminary was Barack Obama, whose taste in television was mined by correspondent Michael D. Shear for insights into the presidential character. Shear failed to provide any, but his article was riveting nonetheless. What at first glance might be dismissed as a piece of journalistic fluff, a

FTA "One reads “Obama’s TV Picks” not for the information it contains or for the conclusions it draws, but for the opportunity to be reassured that, no matter how incompetent he may seem, no matter how far his approval ratings may fall, Barack Obama is, in the end, just like us."

I strongly disagree with that conclusion, obama isn´t like me or a majority of this country! The "us" Continetti is referring to must be the elite msm, Democrats and the elite GOP and Rinos. I don´t watch any of those shows and know no one who watches of them like obama. If you have a job and a family there isn´t time for all the nonsense on tv Period!

Continetti can be very good.

The dramas the president favors are soap operas with sophisticated vocabularies. Left unmentioned is the difference between the shows Shears poo-poos and the shows Obama watches. It is the same difference between a juicer bought at Wal-Mart and one bought at Williams-Sonoma: the latter is a luxury good. It takes cash to afford the cable connections, premium channels, and Netflix subscriptions required to watch all of the titles on the president’s viewing list. It is also necessary to have leisure time, which, disturbingly, the president seems to have a lot of. No wonder he finds out about everything from the newspapers.

PS. Continetti left out one thing.

It takes OUR cash for Obie to watch the premium channels. And to pay him for doing nothing but making mischief.

Never heard of any of the obama TV pics.

My favs are on Hallmark channel, where nice things happen to nice people. Something totally foreign to obama.

For me, obama is in a alternate universe. Nothing coming from him will ever be of any value to my life.

This looks like a very big deal (via WNCN): State election officials are looking into thousands of cases where registered voters may have voted in two states or after their reported death. The audit further identified 13,416 deceased voters on voter rolls in Oct. 13. Japan recently turned over to the United States enough weapons-grade nuclear material to make dozens of nuclear bombs. This was one of President Barack Obama’s few foreign policy “successes,” as part of his nuclear-disarmament initiative. But his foreign-policy successes may be more dangerous than his “failures.” Back in 2005, Senator Barack Obama urged the Ukrainians to drastically reduce their conventional weapons, including anti-aircraft missiles and tons of ammunition. Ukraine had already rid itself of nuclear missiles, left over from the days when it had been part of the Soviet Union. Would Vladimir Putin have sent Russian troops so boldly into Ukraine

After Travon Martin was killed, President Obama interjected himself into the controversy by saying, "If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon." His critics picked up with that statement and use it to refer to any criminal incident involving black youths. The mainstream media, ever-supportive of Obama, neglects to publicize any such event and only local newspapers are reporting the increasing meaningless and violent attacks against white victims. It may be unfair to equate these miscreants as children of Obama, who does have two lovely daughters, but he has only himself to blame for ignoring the harm his

Noah presumed God would wipe him and his family out too once all the animals were saved.
