Nobel Prize-Winning Anti-Communist Icon:
Obama Has Failed - Politically And Morally

Independent Journal Review, by Mike Miller

In an interview with CNN that aired Wednesday, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning former president of Poland, Lech Walesa, says Barack Obama has failed to reclaim America’s role as a world leader.Walesa — who supported Mitt Romney in the 2012 election — said the Obama administration has been a dangerous disappointment: “When he was elected…there was great hope…we were hoping Obama would reclaim moral leadership for America. That failed. [I]n terms of politics and morality, America no longer leads the world. America did not regain its leadership status. We were just lucky there were no big conflicts in the world.” Walesa said the world

And no wonder. The Poles have had absolutely no use for Obama since he dismantled the missile shield.

As some here will remember, we were in Warsaw when The Won showed up there (sans the LB, whose absence was duly noted at the wives´ luncheon), and the crowds on the street were underwhelming. The one small group we did see outside the presidential palace was a protest of the major undercutting of the Polish government by taking out the missiles. And this after the Poles were required to refit the entire hotel floor on which he was staying with embassy-style bulletproof glass.

What a poseur.

And for those who don´t know it, Poles do not forget and forgive easily.

How many other world leaders feel the same way about Obama as Lech Walesa but would never be as honest as Walesa in voicing their disappointment in him?

Two little things I noticed that happened in Hawaii - I read that when Obama and Michelle visited the military base in Hawaii, there were plates of half-finished cake left on the dining tables. Did that mean that the men heard about his expected visit and fled the dining hall before they´d finished their meal? And I saw a picture of him giving the Hawaiian sign with his hand when he was walking on the street and in the background there is a man with a pork-pie hat who is not even looking at him. Total indifference. Not good for any politician.

Anti communist, real hero, Lech, reminds us, in our frustration, that while Obama is betraying America, he is even more frighteningly BETRAYING THE ENTIRE FREE WORLD ! !
Imagine, people all over the world, who are under terrorist infiltration and attack by Islamic supremacists, and they see in the newspaper that our president´s middle name is HUSSEIN !

We need to hear from more anti communists, to embolden and wake up this nation ! Most of our best people continue to be much too soft hearted.
Just look at all the people we like who continue to call the Marxist communist socialist enemy, by the good names of liberal and progressive. Worse than stupid!

Time to face it! communism, Marxism, is the bottom line drive shaft of all democrats and Boehner McCain RINOS
And we all must be able to understand this grim truth.

Correction - zippy didn´t receive the Nobel in hopes of anything. He received it as a slap at Bush.

IIRC, it was on that visit mentioned by Pineledger that zippy wanted to meet with Walesa and he was snubbed. Walesa had much more important things to do. Wasn´t it an outing with his family or something similar?

I am very conservative and most frustrated with the RINO´s but to put them in the same barrel with the socialist left Demacrates, I believe is a mistake.

We will have a number of them in the Senate and we will need the moderates to take the Senate. The difference between most of the RINO senators and any of the Demacratic senators is the difference between good and evil. Check their voting records out at American Conservative Union.ACU. We are going to have to work together to win...we will have to accept some moderates with overall ACU voting record of 70% and be glad we have them. The liberals get scores between 0 and 40%. Check the liberal scores out.

Many world leaders and politicians have spoken of their ´hopes´ for Obama. There was never a reason for hope. Who and what he is has been very clear from the beginning. The evidence was there. His own words were available. There is proof that he has always been a liar. People were willfully blind. Especially people who should know better.

The curtain is now being pulled back, and small beams of light are shining on the Evil that slipped into our country[read that as WH] when we weren´t paying attention.

I have to disagree with Mr. Walesa´s comment that:“When he was elected…there was great hope…we were hoping Obama would reclaim moral leadership for America."

Is Mr. Walesa saying that America under George W. Bush was lacking in moral leadership? Mr. Walesa must have forgotten that America was attacked on 9/11/2001, and that President Bush had the courage to fight back and to go after those who conspired to do the dirty deed. Yes, the effort wasn´t pretty, but we had the enemy on the run for a while.

It was only when the MSM began their campaign to discredit President Bush in every imaginable way, no matter the good and moral things he tried to accomplish.

Our current Resident in the WH doesn´t deny himself a single pleasure. OTOH President Bush thought it unseemly that he could play golf when we had men and women fighting a war. Thus, he stopped playing golf.

Instead, Bush chose to encourage wounded veterans to regain their strength by riding his dirt bike with them, over sometimes grueling terrain, as they tried to retrain their bodies. Bush also didn´t spend taxpayer money on fancy vacations - he went back to his ranch in Texas and did some manly work cutting down dead trees and clearing the land.

The contrast between George W. Bush and Barry Hussein Obama couldn´t be more stark. Now, Mr. Walesa who has moral leadership?

I´m fascinated by any expression of disappointment, surprise, or discovery of who our president has turned out to be. Does the world listen to our media presuming that in a "free" country they must be hearing the truth?

The man told us he was going to put coal miners out of work. He told us he hung with radical feminists and communists, he told us he would side with muslims, we knew he was in a black liberation congregation, we knew he voted twice to let babies simply starve to death if they happened to survive a botched abortion. We knew he was a disciple of Saul Alinsky which is virtually the same as being told that the truth wasn´t to be a constraint to activism. This man was to take us to the moral high ground?

Our political BS is received by the listener in the context of the listener. We can´t pass off the rhetoric of the left as just political games. Its dangerous and has consequences.

Isn´t the world the least bit curious?

You lived and witnessed the rumble of Russian tanks in the streets and military soldiers in Poland´s doorways. The Pope was involved you led your country out of darkness. Do not apply these heroic deeds to the person you are commenting on.
Lech you are dealing with a low IQ, lowlife, American hater who couldn´t find your little eastern European country on a school house globe. A slight disagreement with the Honorable Lech Walesa - I don´t think American moral leadership had to be reclaimed after George W Bush. The Bush Administration´s war on terror (how I hate that misleading term) was the epitome of moral leadership. The duty of the US President is to protect this country , our values and interests around the globe and then our allies.

One of the great moments in my life was when, in 1998, my students and I met with Walesa in his office, in Gdansk, Poland.
He was courteous, deferential, kind, but when he found out that I was a labor arbitrator/mediator, he sort of snubbed me.
(And I understood that.)
He, along with John Paul II, Ronald Reagan, Chernobyl, and Gorbachev, all combined to end the existence of the Soviet Union.
History will judge him kindly.

growing up in Poland/ any communist country looked like Hunger Games scenes, all was grey and everyone was busy trying to survive, then my parents were crying, I didn´t know why: JP II was chosen, then was August ´80 & December ´81 we all grew up fast behind the Iron Curtain. For all of us there USA was a mocking-jay, the last ray of hope in the vast darkness. Ask anyone who ever traveled or travels to Poland they love us there. Lech Walesa has a way with words, I am sure he meant no disrespect for GWB nor he questioned a position of USA in the World. Poland went to Iraq, fought bravely and was very proud to be a new member of NATO. Imagine the disappointment of 2008 thanks to a reset button. Polish people have a very good memory none over there forgot thanks to whom the tanks went East peacefully. Majority of Poles knew who Mr Obama was even before anyone caught up with him, we can spot a communist when we see one and I am sure that´s what Mr Walesa wanted to say.

Am I missing something? Just a short list of Oie´s garbage:

“If you like your health insurance, you can keep your insurance.”

“I did not know about the IRS persecution of conservative and Tea Party groups.”

“I did not know the U.S. Ambassador in Benghazi requested more security.”

“Benghazi didn’t involve terrorism…it was a protest about a movie.”

“I did not know about the Fast & Furious arms deal.”

“I did not know about the NSA snooping on world leaders.”

“I did not know about the snooping on the American people and even the Associated Press.”

“I have the most transparent administration in history.”

“I’m a friend of the energy industry.”

And don’t forget the two absolute worst lies of all:

“I’m the best friend of small business.”

“My policies are about saving the middle class.”

Obie is here to distract us, while taking control of our lives and livelihood. And to silence us. The IRS, NSA, EPA, Homeland Security are at war with the people THEY are supposed to be working for. WE aren´t working for them. Remember the constitution?

President Obama is lending his political support to fellow community organizer Al Sharpton by headlining the MSNBC host’s National Action Network (NAN) conference this week in New York. Obama’s choice to headline the conference underscores the close ties of the two leaders and provides an increased sense of political legitimacy to the controversial leader and his much-maligned organization. Sharpton’s conference is held in April "not just to commemorate the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination, but to honor his legacy by proactively engaging in dialogue that will spawn change." We live in a strange time in American politics. Democrats know their biggest problem in this year’s midterm election is Obamacare. So top party operatives have settled on a strategy to try blunting the GOP’s advantage: Tell voters Republicans would make the problem worse — raising prescription drug prices, empowering insurance companies and even endangering domestic violence victims. The battle plan, details of which were in a memo obtained by POLITICO, recognizes the unpopularity of the Affordable Care Act. After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast
