Obama Dooms Seniors
to Ravages of Aging

Accuracy in Media, by Betsy McCaughey

On Oct. 1, 2012 the Obama administration started awarding bonus points to hospitals that spend the least on elderly patients. It will result in fewer knee replacements, hip replacements, angioplasty, bypass surgery and cataract operations. These are the five procedures that have transformed aging for older Americans. They used to languish in wheelchairs and nursing homes due to arthritis, cataracts and heart disease. Now they lead active lives. But the Obama administration is undoing that progress. By cutting $716 billion from future Medicare funding over the next decade and rewarding the hospitals that spend the least on seniors, the Obama health law

Same kind of crap they´re doing Britain already.Conservatives and people like Palin have warned everybody about death panels which the leftist media scoffed at but it´s well on it´s way.If you thought you´d never see a day like this,in this country, guess again. I´ve been saying for a few years now, this plan has more to do with the survival of dem voters over elderly people who are more conservatives.

They want the institutional knowledge of conservatism wiped off the map while brainwashing kids on the joys of socialism, starting at even earlier ages.

One of the more sickening aspects of this is the sexualization of young girls, well before the time they should be hearing about it.Of course this is done to cultivate pro abortion women as they get older. The whole "friends with benefits" culture and no relationship sex is destroying the family structure while it´s still in the womb.
White kids have to stand in front of a class and say why they´re ashamed of being white and getting special treatment over skin color. This is a stab in the guts of these kids future.

FTA:Ignore the political rhetoric and look at the scientific evidence. The Medicare cuts in the Obama health law will end Medicare as we’ve known it and doom seniors to painful aging and shorter lives.

This has probably been his plan all along. After all, didn´t his grandmother die alone and neglected?

Didn´t the seniors in Florida vote overwhelmingly for obama and that´s how he carried the state? Or am I wrong? Seniors have been told my the msm that Republicans want to cut their Social Security and Medicare so they continue to vote for the Democrats. With obamacare their Social Security and Medicare will be cut because they will die an earlier death. Any Senior who voted for obama and the Democrats also voted for an early death. No fool like an old fool.

A friend of mine went in for OP surgery a couple of weeks ago to remove a cyst. Medical staff hooked up her IV and then asked her pain level. The pain would come and go, so she said it didn´t hurt right at that moment. They unhooked her and sent her home and told her it "might" dissolve on it´s own.

It´s the minorities and uniformed who vote for the dems, along with the idiots who think they can bring us to Utopia. Hopefully, the ACA will change some minds.

#5, you and me both! This is why groups of independent specialists, like those specializing in cataracts, have sprung up. First I saw a hospital-connected surgeon and had my knuckles sharply rapped for being concerned about Obamacare because of my aunt in the UK losing the sight in one eye through NHS delays (deliberate, I´m sure) and was lectured on attempting to have my cataracts taken care of before they were "ripe." I was told there was a long way to go before said ripeness occurred.

I was furious over the self-righteous, finger-wagging attitude encountered, but kept my temper and acted chastened for fear of even more negative commentary in my medical file at the hospital. A month or so later, after asking around, I went to a--shall we say understanding-- doctor connected to a small group of opthalmologists and was able to have my cataracts fixed within a couple of weeks (one at a time, of course).

Now--about that "ripeness." Immediately after I had one new lens put in, Mr A took me out for breakfast and found I could already read the Denny´s menu without my cheaters! I had been wearing magnifications of 2.0 and 2.5, depending on reading task. Hence, if you´re told your cataracts are not yet ripe and your cheaters are 2.0 or more, get a second opinion, even if you have to pay for that opionion yourself.

In addition, I´ve been collecting books on cassette tapes from thrift shops to play on one of several tape players I have stashed away. I might transfer them to CDs one of these days.

#9,#11 Sorry for the second post - I stand corrected only 44% of seniors voted for obama in 2012. But still nearly half of seniors voted for death panels, just taking a pill instead of surgery and a shortened life. Makes no sense to me. I´m over 65 and I guess unless obamacare is repealed (which it won´t be) I too will be doomed to the ravages of aging and a shorten life span. Thank you Democrats and now Republicans for funding it.

On March 20, the Washington Post published an article by Steven Mufson and Julie Eilperin, the import of which was that Koch Industries is the driving force behind the Keystone Pipeline. It’s the Koch brothers.” The piece’s point was summarized succinctly in a quote by a spokesman for IFG: “IFG’s intention is to demonstrate the Koch-Keystone connection.” I critiqued the Post story

The April 29th deadline has not yet been reached, but it may be said with confidence that the initiative by Secretary of State John Kerry to revive the ‘peace process’ between Israelis and Palestinians has already reached its final destination: failure. The failure of this initiative was obvious from the beginning. To everyone except, apparently, Kerry himself. This reality lent an element of low farce to the entire proceedings. By now, it should really be obvious to any serious observer that there is no chance that the Israeli-Palestinian negotiating process will produce a comprehensive peace between the two sides. A caveat right off the bat: RAND’s estimate only runs through March 28 whereas the actual deadline for signing up was March 31st. For people who become paralyzed after a spinal cord injury, the condition is usually permanent, but a new study suggests that zapping the spine with electricity during physical training could help paralyzed patients regain movement. Researchers applied electrical stimulation to the spines of four people who had been paralyzed for more than two years. All four patients were able to flex their toes, ankles and knees again, and their movements improved further with physical rehabilitation, the research showed. If proven effective in more people, the stimulation therapy could ultimately change the prognosis for people living with paralysis, researchers say.
