Alabama Mom´s ObamaCare Horror Story Gives
America a Glimpse of Government-Run Healthcare

Independent Journal Review, by Emily Hulsey

Many of us can identify with the frustrating experience that Karri Kinder, a mother of two from Auburn, Alabama, has had with Obamacare. She penned this open letter to share her story: An Open Letter to the Obama Administration and American Citizens: My family’s journey with securing our new insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) started on October 1, 2013. I have decided to write this letter to let the American people know what it has been like for us. We are a family of four, with two little boys’ ages seven years old and three years old. My husband and

A beautifully stated indictment of Obamacare. I wonder if Mrs. Kinder takes solace in the fact that she now gets free contraception.

Well written personal indictment of Obamacare by someone merely trying to live their life. Before this abomination, this family was doing well. How many families are there out there just like this one who were satisfied with their health insurance but forced by the government to spend more and get less. This is an outrage that could only be cooked up in the mind of a progressive ideologue who believes government is god.

This is the most important article of the day. Read it, print it, and send to your congressman. Members of Congress obviously don´t read anything so we have to do it for them. they need to know what kind of mess they have voted for and the disaster it has created for Americans.

If only Obama cared about people who have jobs, this might make an impact. But it won´t- socialist don´t care who they hurt individually, as long as the feel they are "helping" the group overall.

Our president is totalitarian scum.

This is just one of I bet millions of similar stories. It will be the same and worse for a long time. Voting Republican won´t help this. Boehner is disgusting and clueless as to who we are in this country. This woman has clearly stated they are middle-class. These are the very people Obama wants to destroy. That her innocent child will be so affected is beyond belief. I´ll also wait for stories of people who actually purchased Obamacare and how well that worked when they needed medical care, especially emergency care in a hospital. The horror stories are just beginning.

I wonder who she and her husband voted for in 2012 or if they voted at all. If the answers are Obama or they did not vote, and if they voted for Dems, then I have no sympathy. Hopefully they voted against Obama and the Dems, in which case she has all my sympathy.

Maybe the problem is they are not in the right victim class. Maybe they voted for the "wrong" party. The letter is not surprising, given that government has no incentive to do anything like a for-profit business would.

It certainly is a disgrace. Appears to me that not one person Karri Kinder spoke with was knowledgeable and capable of giving her the information she needed. I would be bursting at the seams and going out of my mind especially because she has a family member that needs regular medication.

From here, and right now, it looks as though there will be a few months (at least) where physician care will be unavailable. I can´t help but think of how many new cancer patients are diagnosed over a three month period, and how many of them might have an aggressive form of cancer, as I did, and require immediate surgery followed by chemotherapy. We´re not talking about merely killing off some of the old folks; this could affect any family. So while we sympathize with Mrs. Kinder and concern ourselves about what illnesses could be forming in our bodies, let us not forget that these things are of no concern to the politicians that we elected.

Vote out the bad ones, and work on Term Limits.

An excellent article, well written, well articulated concerning her struggles with this abomination of desolation AKA Obamacare.

As do most Americans I understand her frustration. But please remember, the-government-doesn´t-care. They don´t care about your struggles, nor your children, nor that you have played by the rules all your life and even less do they care that you don´t understand. It´s not about healthcare. It´ about power over your life and the lives of all of us. It´s all about advancing their agenda in all and any way possible.

Do I have any answers, no. Its about Democrats and Republicans and the faceless bureaucrats they empower to destroy our lives and our country. DC doesn´t care as long as keep their cozy little setup.

This is not an anomaly nor an accident nor a glitch. This is all by design - the design of power hungry politicians who want our people to be dependent on the government. They want us all to be subjects not citizens. First they create a bill so huge that no one can read it. Then they give it to HHS bureaucracy to implement by regulation & arbitrary fiat. It kills insurance plans that are affordable and replaces them with ones that are so expensive that the middle class can no longer afford insurance. In this case a middle class family has to ask the government for tax subsidies for the parent´s policies and enroll the children on the state´s Medicaid. Now they are wards of the state. When they have you by the crotch, they have your vote too.

There is no incentive to work hard or improve yourself. And, the ones being hired for Obamacare - via ACORN - are hired more for ideology or pigmentation than ability to begin with.

Some of the residents are loud and "mouthy," needing lots of one-on-one attention; a few just can´t keep still. Others just want a good tummy rub. Home to female offenders, including murderers, Gig Harbor is one of several prisons across the country that welcome dogs with a bad rap. If Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had followed advice from male law professors like me, she would probably not be where she is today. Her entire career has involved defying expectations and forcing her way into places where she did not “belong”—Harvard Law School, when it was a frankly hostile male enclave; the professoriate, when it also scorned female scholars; the docket of the Supreme Court, at a time when the courts did not recognize sex discrimination as a problem. Now that she is on the Court, she’s being told she doesn’t belong there any more. I doubt she’s paying attention. These reflections are

The largest solar-panel plant in the world, built near the Mojave desert, has been blamed for blinding pilots flying over the California facility. Hillary Clinton may well be the most "known" politician in the world. She and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, have been on the national stage for more than two decades -- traveling from Arkansas to the White House to the Senate to the 2008 campaign trail and finally to the State Department. During that time, every look and utterance from Hillary has been examined, then examined again, then analyzed, then overanalyzed. That´s why this series of photos -- shot by LIFE magazine in 1969 as part of a feature on outstanding college students -- is so fascinating. It captures
