The Obamacare We Deserve
New York Times, by Michael Moore

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 1/1/2014 1:07:01 AM

Today marks the beginning of health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act’s new insurance exchanges, for which two million Americans have signed up. Now that the individual mandate is officially here, let me begin with an admission: Obamacare is awful. (Snip) I believe Obamacare’s rocky start — clueless planning, a lousy website, insurance companies raising rates, and the president’s telling people they could keep their coverage when, in fact, not all could — is a result of one fatal flaw: The Affordable Care Act is a pro-insurance-industry plan implemented by a president who knew in his heart that a

I guess if you want a real flaming liberal to "weigh in" and muddy the waters more, then you need Michael to bloviate as only he can. How he´s able to blame the conservative & moderate GOP & not President Bush directly is a true wonder./Sarcasm.

Moore was on the right track until his claim of this being pro-insurance industry, when they´re losing scores of customers, every day. When Obama changes rules, midstream, are the insurance companies loving that? I don´t think so,this is another crap story to push for single payer.

Moore probably thinks insurance companies are price gouging when all they´re doing is using math to figure out what to charge with so many new mandates.

When the left says you´ll enjoy the benefits,it means someone else is paying for them.

This obese slob is a walking health disaster and he proposes that we follow his advice on healthcare?

The central argument of the liberal mantra is that everybody DESERVES everything. What they really mean is the working taxpayer owes it to the elite and to the non-producers to finance it all because we are simply selfish if we don´t. I will quit working and go with no healthcare before I go along with this daylight robbery.

President Obama has ordered a sharp increase in U.S. Special Operations forces deployed to Uganda and sent U.S. military aircraft there for the first time in the ongoing effort to hunt down warlord Joseph Kony across a broad swath of central Africa. The CV-22 Osprey aircraft will arrive in Uganda by midweek, along with refueling aircraft and about 150 Air Force Special Operations forces and other airmen to fly and maintain the planes, according to Amanda Dory, deputy assistant secretary of defense for African affairs. At least four Ospreys will be deployed. The White House began to notify Congress, under the

Former President Jimmy Carter (D) says he thinks the National Security Agency might be monitoring his emails. In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Carter said he sends messages to foreign leaders via snail mail instead. “As a matter of fact, you know, I have felt that my own communications were probably monitored. And when I want to communicate with a foreign leader privately, I type or write the letter myself, put it in the post office and mail it,” he said “because I believe if I sent an e-mail, it will be monitored.” Asked what he thinks of the NSA’s surveillance programs, Carter said they've been “extremely liberalized” and have

Johannesburg - Prosecutors at Oscar Pistorius’ murder trial have presented a “golden thread” of evidence suggesting Reeva Steenkamp screamed before she died, leaving the double-amputee athlete with “serious questions” to answer and his defense likely hinging on his own testimony, a legal expert in South Africa said. Three neighbors say they heard a woman scream before and during the deadly gunshots coming from Pistorius’ home in the early hours of Valentine’s Day last year. The pathologist who performed the autopsy on Steenkamp’s body said it would have been “abnormal” for her not to scream from some of her injuries.

Security sources say Boko Haram has killed hundreds, possibly thousands, this year in a campaign of violence that is growing in intensity. "I travelled to Bama ...to buy bags of beans.
