On the last Breitbart News Sunday of 2013, host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Broadcast on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125 from 7PM to 10PM EST, it was a special end-of-the- year show, which host Bannon dubbed "The 2013 Year of Victories Show." Comments:
Without sites like Breitbart many stories about the D.C. Establishment would not be known, let alone reported.

The Tea Party movement and conservatives indeed did have a great year. No matter what the Establishment may say.

Got Tea?

OPM: Nearly $85 Million Paid to

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) erroneously paid $274 million in benefits to deceased federal retirees over the past three years, including $84.7 million in 2013 alone, according to the agency’s annual financial report. OPM’s FY 2013 financial report released in mid-December revealed that improper “overpayments” to deceased federal annuitants under its retirement program reached $102.9 million in FY 2011, $86.1 million in FY 2012, and $84.7 million in FY 2013 for a total of nearly $274 million during that three year span. According to the OPM report, improper payments made by the agency include “underpayments (monies that OPM

In late December, a two-year budget deal passed the Senate by a bipartisan 64-36 vote. It includes a provision that cuts a full 1 percent from future annual cost-of-living-adjustments to the retirement packages of all veterans under the age of 62.{SNIP}One would not mind taking a financial hit as long as it is evenly applied to all in the interests of deficit reduction. However, to be a part of a group specifically singled out by Congress while other entitlements are untouched smacks of grave injustice. The all-voluntary military now only represents roughly 1 percent of the nation and thus is

Polls show that three out of four Americans say the nation is on the wrong track. Disapproval ratings of our president are lodged above fifty percent. Clearly, whatever was generating the glow that got the most left-wing president in American history elected twice is starting to fade. Despite the considerable human experience from around the world that socialism does not work, and the considerable experience in our own country that human freedom and capitalism does work, many Americans bought the left-wing sweet talk and sugar-coated promises from Barack Obama that this time things would be different. As Obamacare socialism implodes, as every conservative

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., chairman of the House Budget Committee, appear to be in sync in defending the controversial cap that Congress has imposed on cost-of-living adjustments for “working age” military retirees starting in January 2016.{SNIP}Even as Murray moved to distance herself from the COLA cap provision in the deal she negotiated, Ryan defended it. He called current retirement benefits generous and said most retirees to be impacted by the COLA caps will be working in second careers anyway.

2013 Year in Review: Tea Party

The past year has by far been the best for the Tea Party movement in its short history. In 2013, the five-year old conservative grassroots upsurge has grabbed Washington, D.C. by the collar, tearing the city colloquially known as “Boomtown” in a conservative direction for the first time in decades. As the Tea Party movement matures, it is getting more professional in its political activism. The way the Tea Party won 2013 is by entrenching itself in Washington warfare and fighting for conservative victories by connecting powerful grassroots activists directly with lawmakers in decision-making positions. What has happened is the

Two days after President Barack Obama signed a budget compromise that slashed pension benefits for military veterans, retired Marine Jessie Jane Duff blasted Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) for his "outrageous attitude" toward the sacrifices those in the armed forces have made. Appearing on Fox & Friends on Saturday, Jessie Jane Duff, who is at the E7 level, said Ryan, who brokered the deal with Sen. Patty Murray (D-WI), does not realize that many active duty military personnel go back to civilian life "broke" and "without a job" and have difficulty getting on equal footing with their "civilian counterparts." Whenever a fellow tells me he is bipartisan,” said Harry Truman, “I know he is going to vote against me.” The hosannas to bipartisanship accompanying the recent budget deal should have served as fair warning to the rest of us that we lost this vote. True, politicians and commentators vied to hail the sacrifices that had been made on both sides of the aisle for the greater cause of “restoring public faith in the budget process” and thereby bolster Congress’ poll ratings. In reality, there was one clear winner: the bipartisan defense lobby, a category that does not apparently include

Uncle Sam, always generous to a fault with taxpayers´ money, doled out about $108 billion in Social Security benefits to the dead in 2012. Give or take a few billion, over a decade that´s about $1 trillion going to folks who crossed the River Styx. Or more likely their kin, who may or may not take portions of the proceeds to decorate their loved ones´ graves. The Washington Times reported on Friday that the Social Security Administration does a spotty job tracking Social Security recipients´ deaths, hence the dollars for the dead. House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) wielded his caucus members´ committee posts as leverage in whipping up support for the bipartisan budget deal, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday. Anonymous sources familiar with the internal discussions told the Journal that "in the run-up to the budget vote, Mr. Boehner´s deputies warned chairmen who were tempted to oppose the deal that doing so could jeopardize their committee posts." The speaker´s effort was meant to reverse a trend of committee chairs bucking party leadership and voting against legislative priorities like a farm bill, according to the Journal. Robertson made headlines after issuing homophobic comments in a GQ article, at one point comparing gay sex to bestiality, which got him put on suspension by the A&E network. But the network announced yesterday that they would be reinstating Robertson to the show, who so far has remained unapologetic about the comments. A new Gallup poll finds President Obama’s approval rating at 39 percent and his disapproval rating at 54 percent. But it’s not just that the public is increasingly displeased with the job Mr. Obama is doing; they are growing weary of the whole packaged deal. They are frustrated with the president, his style, his attitude, his approach to the job. The Boston Herald reports: President Obama’s tanking approval rating in newly released polls shows Americans are tired of his whining, according to some experts, who also see a fighting chance for Republicans to rack up coast-to-coast victories in the 2014 midterm congressional

The night of Sept. 1, 2009, Echo Platoon of Navy SEAL Team 10 headed out into the Fallujah night. Their goal: concluding a five-year search for the al Qaeda killer who had been responsible for the shocking 2004 murders of four American military contractors — one of them an ex-SEAL — whose bodies were then burned, dragged through the streets and hanged from a bridge. This night the SEALs departed with these words from their commanding officer: “Gents, stay sharp, and expect a firefight.” In the event, no shots were fired, but the SEALs faced another kind of ambush: a humiliating,
