Did the NY Times contradict
itself on their Benghazi piece?

Hot Air, by Jazz Shaw

Original Article

Ed already covered some of the serious problems with this weekend’s New York Times “deep analysis” of Benghazi, showing how much of their focus was on the crumbs rather than the meat of the situation. Erika went one further, discussing how members of Congress in the know have already been informed that the entire sordid affair was no accident. But just for a bit more comprehensive coverage, long time friend of Hot Air Kerry Picket has a piece at Breitbart noting how it now seems that the Paper of Record actually contradicted itself in attempting to provide cover for Hillary

Poll: Latinos souring on Obamacare
Washington Post, by Aaron Blake    Original Article

A new poll shows Latinos -- a fast-growing and key demographic in American elections -- aren´t as fond of Obamacare as they once were. The Pew Research Center poll showed Hispanics are split on whether they approve of President Obama´s health-care law, with 47 percent approving and 47 percent disapproving. The numbers are notable because Latinos have generally been among the health-care law´s chief supporters. Other polls have shown they supported the law by a 2-to-1 margin, and a September 2013 poll, before the law´s implementation, showed 61 percent of Hispanics approved of it. Another key minority group that tilts

The American Physical Society (APS) has signalled a dramatic turnabout in its position on "climate change" by appointing three notorious climate skeptics to its panel on public affairs (POPA). They are: Professor Richard Lindzen, formerly Alfred P Sloan Professor of Meteorology at Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a highly regarded physicist who once described climate change alarmism on The Larry King Show as "mainly just like little kids locking themselves in dark closets to see how much they can scare each other and themselves." MOSCOW - Russia imposed retaliatory sanctions on nine U.S. officials and lawmakers on Thursday as tension over Moscow´s annexation of Crimea mounted, warning the West it would hit back over "every hostile thrust". Deputy national security advisers Ben Rhodes and Caroline Atkinson and senators John McCain, Harry Reid and Mary Landrieu, Dan Coats and Robert Menendez were among the Americans barred from Russia, the Foreign Ministry said. The others were House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner and Dan Pfeiffer, a senior adviser to President Barack Obama. Obama issued an order on Monday barring 11 Russian, Ukrainian and Crimean officials and

On Thursday´s NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie touted an exclusive preview of Fortune magazine´s list of the world´s 50 greatest leaders and wondered about one name that was absent from the ranking: "Bill Clinton comes in at number five and makes the cover. There are a lot of other notable names here. Tell you what, though, there may be some talk about one leader who did not make the list, the leader of the free world, President Obama. Fortune tells us he was not overlooked, he just did not make the cut." [Listen to the audio] Co-host Matt Lauer reacted:

The other day, this story hit the New Media. It´s one the Old Media will simply never report. Two sisters, 16 and 21, and members of Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, were holding a pro-life sign while demonstrating at the University of California, Santa Barbara. A choppy cell phone video caught the scene: Students hurl obscenities at the young girls while a large, imposing woman, with two accomplices in tow, march off with the sign, having ripped it from one girl´s hands. The girls follow the thugs to the elevator, and as the video continues recording, the intimidating woman sneers

Catholic League president Bill Donohue is blasting beer companies that pulled their support for the St. Patrick´s Day parades this year. Donohue Mondaycalled for Catholics to boycott the companies behind Guinness, Heineken and Sam Adams for dropping their sponsorship of the parades in New York City and Boston over the refusal of organizers to allow gays and lesbians from marching under a banner. In an email, Donohue blamed the "bullying" against the parade on its "Catholic element." "I have had my last Guinness and Sam Adams. Heineken was always slop, so there is no sacrifice there," Donohue wrote. "I urge

Politicians make good liars because they manage to convince themselves they are telling the truth, a study has revealed. And this has also made it easier to hoodwink the public because the best liars are the ones who do not realise they are lying, said the study. From Watergate to weapons of mass destruction (WMD), world leaders have been guilty of untruths whether it is blatant lies or honest mistakes, it claims. But they may have fooled themselves into believing, for instance, that Iraq had WMD because it is what they wanted to believe, said political professor Dr Anna Galeotti.

It’s approaching the point where the Obama administration should just announce he’s starting an American version of royal warrants. You know, those fancy shields with lions and crowns that appear on the sides of British goods like Walker’s Shortbread (“supplier of oatcakes to Her Majesty the Queen”) or Cadbury’s chocolates (“cocoa and chocolate manufacturers to Her Majesty the Queen”). The American program could start off with the Gap, sweater and light-warmup-jacket supplier to his majesty President Obama.President Obama’s recent shopping trip to Manhattan “was a reward for Gap, which is raising its minimum pay for employees to $10.10 an hour

Washington - In a major discovery for understanding the origins of the universe, US scientists said Monday they have detected echoes of the Big Bang 14 billion years ago. The "first direct evidence of cosmic inflation," or the rapid growth spurt that came in the first moments of the life of the universe, was found with the help of a telescope at the South Pole, and was announced by experts at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. The detection of these gravitational waves represents the last untested element of Albert Einstein´s general theory of relativity, filling in a major gap in

The saddest part of Hollywood will play out this week. According to Deadline Hollywood, massive lay-offs are set to be made at Sony. How many cuts? Try around $100 million dollars worth. Now (as I feared) after the added lackluster returns from Monuments Men and RoboCop, the hammer is set to fall. Support appears to be crumbling among constituents of Senator Al Franken (D-MN) and Minnesota Democratic Governor Mark Dayton, according to new poll data posted from Public Opinion Strategies this week that the Minnesota GOP is touting. The statewide survey of 600 likely Minnesota voters, conducted between March 3 and 5, shows "fewer than half of Minnesotans (48%) want Al Franken to remain their US Senator." The data also shows that only a "slim majority of Minnesotans" (51%) want Dayton to remain as their governor. Both Democratic politicians lost considerable support among independent voters. Only 43% percent of independents think that

(Video) The Obama ladies are in the house — the house of China, that is. First lady Michelle Obama, her two daughters, Malia and Sasha, and her mother touched down Thursday in China for what’s being touted as a weeklong feel-good tourist event, amid increasing murmurs back home about U.S. taxpayers having to foot the bill. Mrs. Obama is supposed to use her visit for soft diplomacy only, and shy from the more controversial topics that plague U.S.-China relations, namely human rights and economics. No reporters accompanied the family on the trip. “The nature of her visit is really quite

But apparently no one told Nancy Pelosi, because she’s still ticked off at how much people talk about “Obamacare” instead of the “Affordable Care Act.” In response to a reporter asking a question about Obamacare being a political winner or loser, Pelosi said, “By the way, it’s called the Affordable Care Act. President Barack Obama said Wednesday that he thinks Massachusetts Gov. The two men have campaigned for each other, with Patrick acting as a surrogate for Obama nationally during the 2012 presidential race. Patrick has said clearly that he intends to return to the private sector when his second term as governor is up at the end of the year and will not run for president in 2016. As if to underscore the point, no reporters are traveling with the first lady, and she does not plan to give interviews while there," reports the New York Times.
