Montgomery VA refuses to let woman
give ´Christmas´ gifts to veterans

WSFA-TV [Montgomery, AL], by Bryan Henry

Original Article

Posted By:Ribicon, 12/28/2013 10:00:51 AM

Montgomery, AL - Jordan McLendon simply wanted to honor her late grandfather who was a Vietnam veteran. "I made over a hundred goodie bags. I put candy in the goodie bags and I wrote out over a hundred Christmas cards," McClendon explained. McLendon spent two days making the gifts which she wanted to deliver to all the veterans at the VA Hospital on Perry Hill Road in Montgomery. She said she did it because many veterans don´t get visits from their family on Christmas. When McLendon arrived on Christmas Eve morning, a VA official told her she couldn´t deliver all of them

Comments:
Another taste of Fundamentally Transformed America. Christmas is officially banned, but presumably Kwanzaa or homosexual pride goods would pass muster.

The "decider" (who looks like a more rotund Al Sharpton) refused to go on camera. "Just following orders," he says.

It´s a federal holiday named Christmas. How could anything that says Merry Christmas be banned? I suppose even if the cards said Get Well Soon they´d find someone to complain.

The ´decider´ needs to be fired. Now.

How much longer are we going to stand quietly by while the Left and the Chicago thugocracy destroy our country?

If I were in Montgomery I would show up for a protest. What can we do?

She should have told the hospital administrators that there were kwanza gifts. Problem solved. s/o During this time of the year, if someone tells me happy holidays I immediately give that person a piece of my mind, and it is not pretty.

Perhaps those wonderful supporters of the military, McCain and Graham, could hold some hearings and find out who, specifically, said no the Christmas at VA hospitals.

Simple solution.. Just like in DC this year when thousands of vets pushed over BOs Barriers.. Just have every vet and family member go with Jordan.. every day..

What a sad state this country has become. We can say f ... you, certain TV types can wish someone would Sh.. in someone´s mouth but Merry Christmas is off limits.
The ACLU goes to court any time a Christian says a prayer but never when a Muslim does the same thing.
If the woman had given ´holiday´ gifts would that have been the same???

As more and more of this nonsense against Christianity takes place, I predict that the mother of all backlashes will take place. Despite the Left´s best efforts, especially in the public schools, Americans love Christmas and want to share the joy of the season with others. No other religion is so "others" oriented and doing good for others who are less fortunate.

There are so many stories about the Light that can´t be hidden under a bushel basket. This will soon be over. I believe, with all my heart, that there is someone who will free us. Because as painful as Obama and his friends have made our lives, the DNA in America will ultimately reject their poison.

Sometimes before one "can see the light", they need to experience the darkness. That was true over 2000 years ago, and it is still true today. Saul of Tarsus persecuted the Christians of his day, too, but today there are Christian Churches in his name - St. Paul. Like Saul/Paul many will have the scales fall from their eyes in the coming couple of years - I think Obamacare is responsible as well as his recognized huge lie - "If you like your insurance, you can keep it."

Anyone this loving and generous should be able to bring the gifts. Let the veterans decide if they want the gift. How could this possibly offend anyone? Couldn´t the idiot who would not allow this just turn away so HE wouldn´t be offended? Did anyone ask the veterans? This is going WAY too far.

That means the Christie administration has to make up that gap with just three months left in the state’s fiscal year, time that includes the crucial income tax collection month of April. Named after the late Admiral Elmo “Bud” Zumwalt, the warship sports advanced technology and a stealthy shape designed to minimise its visibility on enemy radar and reduce the size of its crew. Foreign aid soared by 28 per cent last year, meaning the UK hit its target of spending 0.7 per cent of GDP on overseas development. It left Britain with the second most generous aid budget in the world, outstripped only by the United States, and it came as a series of developed nations cut back on their aid spending. The figures will reignite concerns among Tory MPs that the aid budget is ill-directed and has ballooned at the expense of other Whitehall departments.

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
