Rove predicts GOP unity
and Senate win in 2014

Daily Caller, by Neil Munro

Karl Rove, the voice of the Republican donor class, is predicting that tea party-backed primary candidates will lose nearly all their primary fights against business-backed GOP politicians during 2014. “Every Republican senator and virtually every representative challenged in a primary as insufficiently conservative will win,” Rove wrote in a Dec. 26 blog post, an excerpt of which appeared in The Wall Street Journal. The op-ed listed his predictions about American politics in 2014. Rove’s business vs. tea party prediction is somewhat self-serving — he’s positioned himself as a leader of the GOP-affiliated donors and businesses who are facing criticism from the tea

Mr."Porky Pig" predicts a good many things which are not always the actual outcome. He blew it last election night with his vision of Romney winning Ohio. He had some serious trouble accepting the fact that O Dark Won took that state. Each time ´PP" opens his mouth, a few more think a little less of him and his predictions. A full fledged member of the Elite in DC, of course he will do whatever it takes to get the Rinos into office. Unfortunately, he does seem to forget in order to take first place, votes are needed. He has hammered a vast majority of their base so badly, most will stay away nursing their wounds Karl, you are not to be trusted. Really a shame the entire lot of you suffer from this malady.

Sorry folks. I can´t get excited over the prospects of a republican majority in the House and Senate in 2014; in fact, I have called those whom do, ´dunderheads´.

During the times which republicans controlled both chambers (and I´ve asked this before, too), did government become smaller, more adherent to the constitution, spend less money or become less intrusive.

I´m open to learning: Instruct me.

It´s going to take more than Obamacare to turn this nation around. We have cancer (liberalism) that is eating us alive. Even if Obamacare falls flat on its face, we will still have the cancer of a nation wanting handouts. Liberals will not learn to work until they experience near-starvation first hand. Only then will the nation accept Tea Party values.

What does Republican even mean any more? Statists are statists, whatever their outer cover. Imagine a RINO-controlled government.... or even a RINO-controlled House and Senate.... What, exactly, will that get us, Karl? What has your win-loss record actually done to benefit this country?

Other than G.W., what candidate using your ´´expertise´´ has even won?

I have come to despise Karl Rove as much as I do Emperor Hopenchange.

Senator Lindsey graham, speaking on the use of drones:

The process of being targeted I think is legal, quite frankly laborious and should reside in the commander in chief to determine who an enemy combatant is and what kind of force to use.

Senator Lindsey Graham on saving the banks:

I´m very much afraid any program to salvage the banks is going to require the government. I would not take off the idea of nationalizing the banks.

Senator Lindsey Graham on NSA phone surveillance:

I don’t mind Verizon turning over records to the government if the government is going to make sure that they try to match up a known terrorist phone with somebody in the United States. I don’t think you’re talking to the terrorists. I know you’re not. I know I’m not. So we don’t have anything to worry about.

I can cite similar examples from Cornyn, McConnell, and Enzi.

I don´t think your definition of ´opposed to limited government´ is the same as mine.

President Obama is unwilling to engage militarily in Syria. Assad’s butchery has not moved him, nor have the 150,000 deaths produced thus far by the civil war. When Assad and his Hezbollah/Iran backers crossed the “red line” by using chemical weapons, Obama punted. He has even been unwilling to provide meaningful assistance to Assad’s non-radical opponents. In Iraq, Obama opted for a total U.S. pullout. He appears poised for a similar pullout in Afghanistan, which would mean abandoning those Afghans who put their life on the line to support his surge. In addition, Obama has thus far turned down requests for arms

The Roosevelt administration once talked loudly of pivoting to Asia to thwart a rising Japan. As a token of its seriousness, in May 1940 it moved the home port of the Seventh Fleet from San Diego to Pearl Harbor — but without beefing up the fleet’s strength. The then-commander of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral James O. Richardson, an expert on the Japanese Imperial Navy, protested vehemently over such a reckless redeployment. He felt that the move might invite, but could not guard against, surprise attack. Richardson was eventually relieved of his command and his career was ruined — even as he was

New information shows the aircrew was trying to bring the Boeing 777 to safety, not commit mass murder as the Malaysian government implied. Have the Malaysians finally stopped trashing the pilots? After 16 days of trying to give their own spin to the few facts available about the pilots of Flight MH370, the authorities in Kuala Lumpur have changed the narrative in a significant way. First came the statement by officials Sunday that the Boeing 777’s change of course was programmed into its computers after, and not before, the last voice message from the cockpit was received. Most political pundits believe that the November 2014 elections spell serious trouble for Democrats. Not so fast. Despite their blustering for the benefit of their friends in the apparatchik press, the party appears to have conceded that it can’t regain a majority in the House of Representatives. One might therefore think that Republicans have a chance of greatly expanding their current 33-seat House advantage. That doesn’t seem likely. It’s difficult to overestimate how much harm supposedly helpful GOP gerrymandering in certain red states has done in the current situation. For example, in Ohio, the state’s GOP-dominated apportionment board “cleverly” carved out four heavy-majority

But when Reid made those remarks, he wasn’t repeating words carelessly dashed off by some 20-something staffer. Supporters in Congress failed to block bipartisan deals to increase government spending and raise the debt ceiling. And a high-stakes bid to defeat Obamacare led to an unpopular government shutdown that sent tea party approval ratings to new lows. Five years after it emerged as the most potent force in conservative American politics since the Reagan revolution, the tea party is at a crossroads — and some critics have declared the movement all but dead. The US Navy uses about 100 Tomahawk cruise missiles per year to deal with global threats or to send a message. The Hellfire missile has become a mainstay of anti-terrorism operations since the CIA and military adapted the Predator drone aircraft to launch them. A few weeks ago, I wrote about how the sweeping acceptance of gay marriage in recent years is owed in large part to Christianity. Rejecting the rigidly hierarchical and stratified societies of the ancient world, Jesus Christ taught the equal dignity of all persons, proclaimed that the meek shall inherit the earth, and declared that the last shall be first and the first shall be last. The Western world has been working out the logic of these subversive teachings ever since, with the institutional transformation of marriage being the latest, though surely not the last, example of its social, moral,
