Democrats will pay political
price for Obamacare in 2014

Washington Examiner, by Byron York

As Democrats survey a troubled 2014 political landscape, it´s easy to forget how optimistic they seemed less than a year ago. "I would expect that Nancy Pelosi is going to be speaker again pretty soon," President Obama told cheering House Democrats at a party retreat last February. In the rosy scenario that took hold in some Democratic circles, the party was positioned to recapture the House in 2014 and maintain control of the Senate, allowing Obama to defy the history of second-term presidential decline. Great successes and good years lay ahead. Had Democrats forgotten Obamacare, the law they passed in 2010 that was

I pray with every ounce of my heart, soul and body that the Democrats suffer the worst loss they have ever seen in both houses since the history of the party. And Chuckie Schumer had the audacity to say 0bamacare won´t be the number one issue in the 2014 elections. What a complete obnoxious idiot he is.

Yes, they should.

But they already own the software which counts the votes.

Big problem.

Unfortunately, elections won´t do anything to change the trajectory of the US because we have an illegitimate political system. A few GOPs might get into the Washington cesspool as a result of Obamacare, but no guarantee that they won´t Pull a Paul Ryan or a Scott Brown the minute they get there.

They will just turn out battalions of Black Panthers to make sure only Democrats can vote and accelerate the illegal amnesty program as well as the motor voter laws, so when those illegals get their DL´s they also get to vote.
In CA they can´t sit on jury duty but oh well.
I live in CA and voting here is a waste of time expecting that I might win an election. Ain´t gonna happen.

We were not founded as a democracy. Constitutionally we were founded as a democratic REPUBLIC. Democracies don´t work out well - as history has proven.

We were a nation of laws, not men. And the federal government was restricted to a very few responsibilities. And Senators were appointed by state governors.

We have warped into a banana republic in my lifetime. We no longer know what "the law" is, day to day. "Regulators" now hold more power now than the Congress and can damage our well being at will.

The primary responsibilities of the the federal government in the Constitution are being abandoned for personal gain - defence, postal delivery, and a sound currency come to mind.

Shame on all of us - but especially the liberals - of both political parties.

Other than saving their own sorry butts, job one for those two is destroying the Tea Party and other Conservatives. Look at the Budget surrender bill they passed the other day and look no further.

They will be backing those ´who can just get along´ in 2014.

Obama doesn’t care about Obamacare. Obama cares about Power. Power at ANY cost! He’s willing to say and do ANYTHING to gain and retain Power. Obama is America’s enemy.

Also on America’s Enemies List: Posters who surrender before the battle even begins. The All-Is-Lost Crowd. The Woe-Is-Us Bunch. The We-Don’t-Have-A-Snowball’s-Chance and so on and so forth lamenters, moaners and weepers.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war. The Knowledgeable vs. The Ignorant. If The Ignorant continue to grow in number and The Knowledgeable are surrendering, the outcome is a certainty. We must not allow that to happen.

Liberals, Progressives, Socialists, Communists, Democrats lack the vision to see beyond their next union rally and government handout. Without voter fraud and a corrupt media, they wouldn’t even exist.

Illegitimi non carborundum!

Lying to the public to get them to buy a product is fraud and something for which the law punishes. I don´t see it happening here. Through it all, Obama still has 40% of his clingers and Congress doesn´t seem care how much power he grabs or how much lying he does. Impressive the way they guard our democracy.

OP, Shumer was right. They are going to keep focusing on the election with Reid leading with jobs and the economy, blaming the GOP along the way.( O´Care will be forgotten by the Lames ). They will use our hard work rebuilding ( despite their obstructions ) to fool the dupes into believing they did it. They have the Chamber Of Congress helping to attack the Tea Party and who will try to force Boehner into illegal citizenship , giving them an insurmountable voting bloc. Pelosi will continue her push for these voters. They know we´re mad , but are hoping to use deceit on the gullible , foolish and ignorant voter again.

Why bother reading RINO Byron York quoting the unimportant words of other dummies?
As long as the Acorn organizers control the non accountable electronic voting machines, and control the socialist media propagandizing that only Hitlary and the king´s soft son Jeb, will be the nominees, the best new answer is a DUCK DYNASTY groundswell, added by the depth of the vast Tea Party and growing interest groups like untold millions if hunters and gun owning families. Don´t forget all the families who will have been
devastated by ObamaFraud death and injury. If there is not any anti Obama violence in the streets by the next election, and we pray there is not, then the ire of real people, DUCK DYNASTY and Tea Party, will be at an all time, take no prisoners, high smashing all the democrat´s vote rigging rackets, and we might actually elect a proper president who will clean out the entire DC bureaucracy upon entering office. Dreaming the truth will make it happen.

Like others here, I wish that York was right. HOWEVER, it´s a political eternity between now and Nov. 2014. And in that time span, you can bet the farm that dims will dream up a plethora of "ideas" to turn voters attention away from Obozocare and on to something else. They´re masters of that. And also the huge amounts of voter fraud that they have perfected over many years. All of us here at LCom are correct in their belief that conservatives don´t have a chance in he$$ in recovering this country. What is needed is another old fashion revolution that completely removes any and all out of D.C. and be replaced with those who WILL follow the constitution. With certain corrections of course (see Mark Levin and his amendments)

The communist democrats won´t lose and Obama will get his eight so the ´black experiment´ doesn´t fail. Obama doesn´t care about Obama care and will enjoy many more family vacations before his is finished.
Washington is awash, with the exception of few, with tax cheats, power hungry mongers, thieves stealing taxpayer monies with schemes for themselves and cronies. The second story sneaks are from both parties. I hate them all.
The fix is in and Hillary will get her eight years to finish off our nation to become communist. The Republicans will see to that.
Republicans don´t want to win or be in the drivers seat. Bush had it all and acted like his esteem colleagues across the aisle.
Physical civil unrest might get their attention but the ballot box doesn´t.

Things just haven´t gotten bad enough for the great pushback to begin. Obama tests the waters to see how much the peons will accept and then he backs off, he extends another deadline. It will take a major blow to the libs and lofos before they get angry enough to turn against him. The dems may tip their hand in 2014 when the vote isn´t going the democrat way and they must cheat widely and often to steal this election. That will expose them publicly and they won´t be able to cover it all up.

Wake me up when the bloodshed begins.

John Kerry, meanwhile, was marked with a “Probably not.” “Hillarycare” ended up dying in the Democratic-controlled Senate in 1994 without coming to a floor vote. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

I began reading the entirety of the first section of the New York Times at nine years old, and continued that practice, more or less, for decades.(snip) ...the power of reverence, intrinsic to what I call the “cascade” of The Times: the near avalanche-like flow and distribution of information through electronic and print networks: through like-minded network newscasts, magazines, local newspaper s, blogs, daytime talk TV, late-night entertainment, statements at media award ceremonies, the celebrity Twitterverse, etc. The cascade rolls through Saturday Night Live, Jon Stewart, The New Yorker, the mouths of third-grade teachers, Elmo, Madonna and Susan Sarandon …through

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

If the Rev. John DeBonville could preach a sermon to lift the souls of churchgoers across America, his message would be simple: Stop dressing so tacky for church. DeBonville has heard about the “come as you are” approach to dressing down for Sunday service, but he says the Sabbath is getting too sloppy. When he scans the pews of churches, DeBonville sees rows of people dressed in their Sunday worst. They saunter into church in baggy shorts, flip-flop sandals, tennis shoes and grubby T-shirts. Some even slide into the pews carrying coffee in plastic foam containers as if they’re going to Starbucks. “It’s like

The Clintons had a busy night of celebrations after Chelsea announced she and husband Marc Mezvinsky are expecting a baby. Bill joined “House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey at the Revlon Rainforest Fund Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall Thursday, joking of Spacey’s Machiavellian character, “When I was president people accused me of murder all the time, made a show of investigating. Spacey’s president for 15 minutes and he gets away with murder.” Spacey, who sang during the event with Sting, Stephen Stills and James Taylor, also showed off his Johnny Carson impression, taking a swipe at the coverage of Flight

President Obama asserts that 8 million people have signed up for Obamacare, as though that were something to be proud of. In fact, Obamacare has always been a fiasco from a fiscal perspective–a black hole of subsidies and expanded Medicaid, with largely fictitious mechanisms in place to pay for it. As the number of subsidized participants grows, the disaster gets worse. Charles Blahous explains: Our national discussion…is missing the truly significant story here; what is unfolding before our eyes is a colossal fiscal disaster, poised to haunt legislators and taxpayers for decades to come. It is quite possible that the ACA is

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist
