Cross-dressing man
caught on Newark runways

New York Post, by Philip Messing

The Port Authority’s pricy perimeter-protection system failed again Wednesday when it failed to detect that a man — dressed as woman — had hopped a fence at Newark Airport and wandered across two runways, sources told The Post. Siyah Bryant, 24, of Jersey City, was wearing women’s red pants and a smart brown sweater as he allegedly walked onto the tarmac at about 4:20 a.m. after tryst in a car near the airport went bad. Newark’s Perimeter Intrusion Detection System should have alerted officials to Bryant’s presence long before he took his turn on the runway — but the $300 million-plus

Comments:
Not to worry. Waiting in the wings is a $600 million perimeter intrusion detection system and suitcases full of cash for the functionaries who insist we need it.

Totally understandable. After all, who hasn´t been spooked by the old "Oops, we just ran outta gas by the airport" trick while cross-dressing. Of course the system didn´t detect them. Everybody knows they only look for that stuff on the weekends...

A cyber espionage operation by China seven years ago produced sensitive technology and aircraft secrets that were incorporated into the latest version of China’s new J-20 stealth fighter jet, according to U.S. officials and private defense analysts. The Chinese cyber spying against the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II took place in 2007 under what U.S. intelligence agencies codenamed Operation Byzantine Hades, a large-scale, multi-year cyber program that targeted governments and industry. Defense officials said the stolen data was obtained by a Chinese military unit called a Technical Reconnaissance Bureau in the Chengdu province. The data was then

US investigators think that Malaysian Airlines flight 370 remained airborne for four more hours after vanishing from its last recorded position - raising the startling prospect the plane could have been hijacked. Officials suspect that the plane flew for a total of five hours based on data automatically downloaded from the Boeing 777´s Rolls Royce engines and sent back to the ground as part of a routine monitoring program. US counter-terrorism teams are now pursuing the astonishing possibility that the plane and its 239 passengers were diverted to an undisclosed location ´with the intention of using it later for another
