Top economic adviser to Chris

A top economic adviser to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie challenged President Obama´s assertion that inequality is the "defining challenge of our time" in an op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal on Monday, writing that "like so many of his other pronouncements, the assumptions behind his defining challenge are misleading." Robert Grady, a managing director at the private equity fund Cheyenne Capital Fund and the chairman of Christie´s Council of Economic Advisers, also sketched out an alternative economic agenda to the one Obama mentioned in his Dec. 4 speech on the economy and inequality at an event in Washington

Hooray for Christie for countering the 0bama administrations incorrect assertions. I´m so tired of 0bama thinking I´m stupid enough to believe what he is serving. I swear that every 6 months or so 0bama says NOW he is going to concentrate on improving the economy. He thinks that eventually the dynamic US economy will bounce back and he can point to these statements to take credit for the improvements.

Disruptive innovation and entropy are two concepts that seem to lost on both Christie´s and Obama´s economic advisers. If you can´t satisfy the customer need for less each and every year, you will lose your customer. And dollars invested in capital or labor that don´t result in more, better, higher quality or less expensive product will simply accelerate the demise of the business.

Taxes, regulations, wage setting, bureaucracy, etc are all drags that turn production to waste heat and accelerate the demise of the business.

So North Koreans risking death and the gulag for their families left behind are fleeing to South Korea to share the good news of their equality in the North? East Germans were so thrilled with their equality they had to escape to the West to tell of their joyful equality. The starving Ukrainians died peacefully with the knowledge of their equality.

Try that on for size Mr. Straight Talk

Sen. Kaine: Let military, not

Last week’s deadly shooting at Fort Hood has spurred renewed calls to allow military personnel to carry weapons on bases, but Sen. Tim Kaine argues politicians ought to stay out of the issue. “I trust the military leadership on this. I don’t live on a military base, and I don’t serve in the military,” the Virginia Democrat said on “Fox News Sunday.” “For those of us in Congress to say ‘here’s what they should do,’ I worry that it would be a little political rather than really about safety or security.” In the aftermath of last Wednesday’s shooting — which

Lawmakers on Sunday quickly rejected a Republican proposal that would allow military personnel to carry concealed weapons on bases — raised just days after the horrific Fort Hood base shooting that left four soldiers dead. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rep. Mike McCaul raised the controversial idea on “Fox News Sunday,” explaining that soldiers shouldn’t be defenseless on their own bases. “We should be looking at the idea of senior leadership at these bases, give them the ability to carry a weapon,” the Texas Republican said. “They defend us overseas and defend our freedom abroad, so the idea that

President Obama is imposing his policies directly on federal contractors. This week, he will sign an executive order that would prohibit federal contractors from retaliating against employees who discuss their pay with each other. The prohibition on the wage "gag rules" is similar to language in a Senate bill aimed at closing a pay gap between men and women. That legislation is scheduled for a vote this week, though it is not likely to pass. In addition, Obama on Tuesday will direct the Labor Department to adopt regulations requiring federal contractors to provide compensation data based on sex and race.

WASHINGTON - At the prodding of business organizations, House Republicans quietly secured a recent change in President Barack Obama´s health law to expand coverage choices, a striking, one-of-a-kind departure from dozens of high-decibel attempts to repeal or dismember it. Democrats describe the change involving small-business coverage options as a straightforward improvement of the type they are eager to make, and Obama signed it into law. Republicans are loath to agree, given the strong sentiment among the rank and file that the only fix the law deserves is a burial. "Maybe you say it helps (Obamacare), but it really helps

In light of Benghazi, Fast and Furious, or IRS probes of conservative groups in the midst of a presidential reelection, one might conclude that I’m referring to the corruption of government officials. Perhaps. The real and absolute corruption I refer to is the power of the mainstream media to decide what it believes to be news while further exercising their power to ignore stories that don’t

Students at three Dearborn elementary schools received the flyers. A large number of Muslim students attend the schools. More than 3,000 gun rights activists rallied on the lawn of the Connecticut state Capitol Saturday to protest the one-year anniversary of the state´s stringent gun control laws, passed in the wake of the Newtown school shooting. A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.
