CNN’s Christmas Present for Obama:
Record Low Obamacare Poll Numbers

Mediaite, by Noah Rothman

Original Article

President Barack Obama’s days-old Christmas vacation in Hawaii will not be the jolliest if CNN has anything to say about it. On Monday, CNN/ORC released new polling data showing that the Affordable Care Act has reached a record low approval rating in that survey. The anchors of CNN’s New Day added salt to that wound in a segment about those poll numbers on Monday by debating the politics of a delay of the individual mandate. A new survey found that 62 percent of those surveyed told pollsters they did not approve of the ACA while just 35 percent expressed approval.

If CNN says 62% oppose it, you must apply the ´rumbswab factor´ so it probably in the 80% range.

#2 has it figured about right.

If 62% of the CNN-polled are against it - - that means at least 80% of sane people oppose it. My computer model puts disapproval among the sane at 93.11%. The other 6.89% are hardcore commies.

It´s a good thing Obama has promised to work on jobs and the economy after hs vacation or things would really be lost.

There´s quite a few eco forecasters saying next year will be good.To bad that´s not reflected in the Christmas shopping season which most people agree has been pretty shabby.

Leftists think if you created enough government jobs it´ll put a demand on the private sector.I don´t know where that´s worked.China has roughly full employment from government projects and you have a super rich oligarchy and the rest who can´t even afford to live on their own.

One of Henry ford´s greatest success stories besides inventing the assembly line was allowing his own employees to buy their own cars.China builds countless houses and nobody can afford to live in them.

If Obama dumped obamacare and Dodd/Frank the economy would start coming back but still not as many if you had a pro business republican president.

Was the polling limited only to CNN viewers?

That might explain why the 35% approval is that high.

WASHINGTON — Conservative Republicans on Wednesday ruled out any immigration legislation in the House this year, insisting that the GOP should wait until next year when the party might also control the Senate. House GOP leaders unveiled their broad immigration principles last week that gave hope to advocates and the Obama administration that the first changes in the nation’s laws in three decades might happen in the coming months. Immigration legislation is one of the top priorities for Obama’s second term. But several of the conservatives were adamant that the House should do nothing on the issue this year, a

The new head of the IRS has apologized to those who suffered because of the agency’s targeting of conservative groups, after he testified before a House subcommittee for the first time. IRS Commissioner John Koskinen told reporters after the hearing before the House Ways and Means Committee that the singling out of such organizations for special scrutiny would be “intolerable,” and vowed the IRS is not doing so now. “It won´t happen going forward,” Koskinen said. “And to the extent that people suffered accordingly, I apologize for that.” Koskinen also expressed concern over the amount of time and manpower being

Israeli victims of terrorism lashed out at Secretary of State John Kerry for his “insensitivity” after he inaccurately claimed “not one Israeli was killed by a Palestinian from the West Bank” in a recent speech. During a controversial speech over the weekend in Germany, Kerry threatened Israel with economic boycotts and claimed that the Jewish state is enjoying a respite from Palestinian terrorism. “There’s a momentary prosperity, there’s a momentary peace,” Kerry said. “Last year, not one Israeli was killed by a Palestinian from the West Bank.” However, this is untrue. The IRS’ proposed changes to requirements for tax-exempt “social welfare” organizations, which would put new limits on their political activity, are the latest attempt by the federal agency to target conservative groups, Republican lawmakers said Tuesday. The regulations, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, R-Mich., said in a hearing, were “drafted in a manner, in my view, to shut down tea party groups.” (Snip) Rep. Charles Boustany, R-La., chairman of the Ways and Means’ oversight subpanel, similarly said that the new rules would “essentially codify the continued targeting of these very same groups” that were previously targeted.

Yesterday´s Congressional Budget Office report on Obamacare´s jobs impact is, in the words of liberal Dana Milbank of The Washington Post, "a game-changer." The congressional number-crunchers, perhaps the capital´s closest thing to a neutral referee, came out with a new report Tuesday, and it wasn´t pretty for Obamacare. The CBO predicted the law would have a "substantially larger" impact on the labor market than it had previously expected: The law would reduce the workforce in 2021 by the equivalent of 2.3 million full-time workers, well more than the 800,000 originally anticipated. This will inevitably be a drag on economic growth,

The Affordable Care Act, aka ObamaCare, became law almost four years ago. It became operational last Oct. 1. Yesterday, Feb. 4, 2014, the ACA may well have been dealt its death blow. The Congressional Budget Office released a major study of the government’s budget and its effect on the overall economy over the next 10 years. In dull bureaucratic language, it delivers a devastating analysis of the inefficiencies, ineffectualities and problematic social costs of ObamaCare.
