Obama, top Dems now appear to
be pushing for comprehensive
immigration reform

President Obama and his top Democrats on Capitol Hill appear to have reset their sights on the Republican-controlled House passing comprehensive immigration reform, instead of a step-by-step process, as lawmakers leave Washington for the Christmas holiday break. The president on Friday appeared to urge the House to back the comprehensive, bipartisan immigration bill the Senate passed this summer -- a departure from recent comments that suggested Obama was OK with the lower chamber’s apparent piecemeal plan. “The Senate bill has the main components of comprehensive immigration reform that would boost our

In addition to Dems´ many annoying tendencies, they suffer a paucity of issues.

This dead horse has been beaten so many times it´s little more than a calcified skeleton.

The issue and its pathetically overbroad euphemism for rewarding lawbreakers is a touchstone for leftists whose only objective is to stuff the ballot box. With Obamacare turning even lifelong Democrat voters away, the urgency of replacing them with Mexican nationals increases greatly.

"Comprehensive immigration reform" is a euphemism for amnesty for illegals. A majority of the country is against it, just like obamacare, but Paul Ryan, Speaker Boner, the elite GOP, Rinos and Democrats know what is best for us. A minority of the country is governing us. When amnesty is passed it will be just as destructive as obamacare. The unknown consequences of the bill will be enormous. The number of illegals will balloon out of sight from 11 million to 20-30 million with the family members eligible. The cost of entitlements will skyrocket. Most illegals are illiterate and unskilled. They will all vote for Democrats and Texas along with most of the southern States will turn blue because they will be eligible to vote despite what the bill may say. It would be better to just make Mexico our 58th State.

Obama and Dem thugs view this amnesty bill as a "Get out the illegals to vote" issue. A normal Justice Dept would charge Dems with aiding & abetting law breaking by illegals. However, AG Holder also wants illegals to vote and vote often even if illegals are hurting "his people" for jobs. So, if Obama can get the normally clueless John Bonehead to stop the Senate´s amnesty now bill, the illegals may turn out to vote for Democrats in November.

Most legal immigrants and the majority of Americans resent the amnesty bill, which is why Obama has an open borders agenda: illegals will overwhelm us at the polls.

"Comprehensive" is just a bunch of empty syllables to make this sound all encompassing, which it can´t be.
Make being here illegally a CRIME, not a petty infraction. That´s where the discussion should begin.

Just like Obama, the Dems and even some Repubs want to try pushing another big crap sandwich down our faces, this time Amnesty for 30 million illegals. They gave amnesty once before, promising to fix border security and to never let it happen again, so why should we believe anything those jerks try to sell us now? I certainly would not believe one word spewing from the lying mouth of Obama. We are ruled by a bunch of lying scoundrels, both DemocRAT and Republicans, led by the Obama lapdog Bonehead Boehner. But there doesn´t seem to be any way we can shake any common sense into their corrupt heads. This is what happens when you have criminals running things. The system is broken. Obama and his cronies are trying desperately to turn the whole Federal Government into one giant DemocRAT re-election machine. And they are mostly succeeding.

The PRESSURE needs to be put on Boehner, and the House, that if they even talk about "Comprehensive Immigration Reform", that they are TOAST this election and any following elections !!!!!!!!!

Somebody needs to run against Boehner, may not even come close to winning but bring up the issues of things like this, and show that the actual public is against it !!!

Besides illegals in Obamacare, it needs to be brought up that we need to hire Americans first, since there is a whole lot of them out of work at this point !!!

More working Americans, more paid taxes. Don´t need illegals here to take their jobs.......

I´d like to have elected advocates of "reform" explain why the 1986 is inadequate. At the time it was hailed as humanitarian and reasonable in terms of "correcting" all the ills that came with illegal entry. Almost 30 years later, after a bi-partisan effort to circumvent the law with very selective enforcement and failure to secure the porous border, we need to reform the law that has been ignored. Why? To what end? It certainly is not to store American sovereignty, nor to prevent a recurrence of this travesty that provides cheap, unregulated low-skill labor while our domestic low-skill labor force generally wallows in publicly subsidized "poverty."

hate to have keep saying this but
the DEMOCRAPS are not the whole of the problem. Even McPain, Boehner, Snowe, Ryan, et al are not the whole problem.
It goes back much further than the current creeps in the Congress and the White House and DOJ, etc etc.
To sing an old song, neither of the Bush POTI were one whit better. I refer you, e.g., to Michael Chertoff and Johnny Sutton. I recommend to your attention the gross and hideous miscarriages of justice we refer to as Ramos and Compeon. I commend to your remembrance that G.W. Bush both *refused* (not merely failed, REFUSED)to protect the border and to engage in meaningful interior enforcement. And he was not alone. It was decades of determined criminal nonfeasance in office that allowed Obumble´s aunt Zeituni and drunken uncle to remain in the nation living on OUR dime, DECADES after ordered to leave.
start by repealing the 1986 and 1965 laws and start vigorously enforcing the law, and arresting those who refuse to or set up "sanctuary cities". No matter who. Including mayors, governors, and even the president. And do it now.

Any liberal Democrat designed bill with the word "comprehensive" in it´s title is a signal that the bill is filled with very liberal provisions that could never pass on their own merits.

The liberal media has been putting out a low ball figure of 11 million now for years as representing the total number of illegal aliens in the USA. But in reality they have no way of knowing how many illegal aliens are here, there easily could be 20 million or more. Once all those illegal aliens are legalized, the amnesty provides that they get to bring their foreign born wives and children here almost immediately in unlimited numbers. Nobody has any idea how many people that would encompass.

The liberal Democrat designed bill would also allow an estimated 30 million new foreign workers and their wives and children to enter the USA in the next ten years, the majority of them, just like the illegal aliens here now, being poor and generally uneducated people who are willing to work for very low wages.

All would be granted complete access to the legal US labor market, and would be able to compete against American workers for just about every job out there. With such a flood of cheap foreign labor legally available for hire there is bound to be huge numbers of American workers either displaced from the workplace or not even considered for future hire as employers hire much lower cost foreign workers.

Such a massive influx of foreigners who the Democrats want to be given US voting rights ASAP, is bound to have a huge impact on USA politics as historically about 85% of past legalized aliens who have gained US voting rights have become Democrat voters. If that happened it would be as poster #2 above said.

Big changes could be just down the road for North Carolina drivers. A proposal is in the works that would change the state tax system to charge drivers by the mile, instead of at the gas pump. The proposal would be to charge a half cent per mile for cars, which would generate almost $500 million in annual state revenue. A driver who travelled 15,000 miles in a year would pay about $75. "Basically you pay per the mile. It´s treating transportation as a utility, much like your water and sewer," said Larry Goode, with the Institute of Transportation Research and

Do you think members of Congress are overpaid or underpaid? Most likely you’d go with the former, but Democratic congressman Jim Moran argues it’s actually the latter. In an interview with CQ Roll Call, Moran says, “I think the American people should know that the members of Congress are underpaid.” The House recently took up a bill to freeze members’ paychecks, placing another halt on the annual cost-of-living pay increases they would normally get and keeping annual salary at $174,000. Moran believes that this is the wrong way to go, not necessarily talking about himself in particular, but saying there

The human kindling that makes up the flammable Republican base may soon burst into flames, again. Portions of that excitable cohort are looking — some with fawn-like eyes filled with hurt, others with sparks shooting from eyes narrowed like gun slits — askance at other Republicans urging Jeb Bush to seek the 2016 presidential nomination. A candidacy by Florida’s former governor would be desirable. But if Republicans want to avoid intra-party carnage, they should be very careful about doing what The Post recently reported: “Many of the Republican Party’s most powerful insiders and financiers have begun a behind-the-scenes campaign to draft

According to a report via BuzzFeed’s Evan McMorris-Santoro, President Barack Obama requested the opportunity to address the nation in prime time on the major broadcast networks on Tuesday night to announce that the Affordable Care Act had reached 7 million enrollees. Those networks did not, however, accommodate the White House’s request. “Three sources familiar with the request confirmed the White House asked for the prime time slot in their effort both to emphasize a bright moment following the challenging roll out and, more important, to try to reintroduce the country to a law that remains unpopular,”

President Barack Obama contended that the government did not “make a hard sell” for Obamacare, despite his administration spending nearly $700 million to promote the law. “We didn’t make a hard sell,” Obama said in the Rose Garden on Tuesday, praising the 7.1 million sign ups for the Affordable Care Act. “We didn’t have billions of dollars of commercials like some critics did.” However, last July the Associated Press reported that Obamacare’s marketing campaign would cost at least $684 million. Taxpayer funding went to all 50 states in efforts to encourage people to enroll, including nearly $28 million for the
