PETA: Christians Should Call
for Duck Dynasty Cancellation

PJ Media, by Bridget Johnson

Original Article

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals released its reaction to the suspension of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson by A&E: PETA wants A&E to do more than suspend one of the characters on Duck Dynasty for damning gays. We call on the channel to challenge the entire crew of duck slayers to ignore Sarah Palin’s self-serving slap on the back for spewing hate speech and deny that they are as anti-gay as they are anti-animal. All people who consider themselves followers of Christ should follow all His teachings—and that includes showing mercy, compassion, and kindness to all of God’s

The matter is now concluded. PETA has spoken. s/o Who cares what these insane fools think about the subject??

PeTA are total dorks for implying that vegetarianism was any part of Jesus´ teachings about virtuous behavior. Cruelty is wrong; but that doesn´t give nuts like PeTA the license to equate eating meat with cruelty.

Trivial way to debunk their bs: Jesus ate meat.

The family issued an "official statement" on their website:
http://duckcommander.com/news/robertson-family-offical-statement

We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. The family has spent much time in prayer since learning of A&E´s decision. We want you to know that first and foremost we are a family rooted in our faith in God and our belief that the Bible is His word. While some of Phil’s unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible. Phil is a Godly man who follows what the Bible says are the greatest commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Phil would never incite or encourage hate.We are disappointed that Phil has been placed on hiatus for expressing his faith, which is his constitutionally protected right. We have had a successful working relationship with A&E but, as a family, we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm. We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty. Again, thank you for your continued support of our family.

BTW, I don´t regularly watch the show, but from what I´ve seen, I´d love to have them as neighbors or even family!

[I have an animosity toward PETA since they indirectly forced my 2 sons and I to pull our muskrat trapline here in southern Maryland by driving the fur prices so far down it wasn´t worth continuing to trap. We lost a lot of excellent father/son time because of PETA.]

One more thing. PETA likes to talk about showing kindness to all of God´s creatures. I guess they dont know about the Old Testament sacrifices that God required. And how the OT Priest would be covered in blood from head to foot, and had to wash in a bronze laver at the entrance to the Tabernacle so he could enter clean. And how without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin (Hebrews 9:2). I dont think PETA would see eye to eye with God.

Ukrainian protesters tore through towns all over their nation, ripping down statues of Vladimir Lenin, the communist dictator who had forced the Ukrainians under the Russian yoke after the Bolshevik revolution. The Ukrainians drove their corrupt, pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovich from the capitol of Kiev, while the opposition leader former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko was freed from prison. Amazing images of protesters tearing down the iconic face of socialism V.I. Lenin (also known as Vladimir Ulyanov) erupted into a fury on social media last night. The University of Notre Dame must provide birth control to employees and students after a federal appeals court ruled Friday, a move the school says will force it to violate its religious beliefs. In a blow to religious colleges and universities across the country, the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago denied Notre Dame´s request for an injunction to the ObamaCare birth control mandate that requires the school to provide coverage for contraception. The injunction would have given Notre Dame a temporary reprieve from the birth control mandate, as the Roman Catholic school challenges the rule in court.

A renewed push at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for net neutrality rules could solidify a major expansion of the agency’s authority over the Internet. Earlier this year, the D.C. Circuit Court of appeals overturned the FCC’s “Open Internet Order,” which kept Internet providers from blocking or slowing access to certain websites, on the grounds that the agency had overstepped its authority. But in a major win for the FCC, the court said the agency could rewrite the rules under Section 706 of the Telecommunications Act, which deals with broadband adoption.
