Today´s Young Americans
Are From A Lost Generation

Investor´s Business Daily, by Victor Davis Hanson

There are all sorts of time bombs embedded within ObamaCare. Will we force doctors to treat millions of new Medicaid patients who are signing up for services that can be only partially reimbursed? How will the IRS collect penalties from millions of off-the-books youth who choose not to buy coverage? For those who chose not to buy health insurance in the past, will these newly insured really follow through on their initial sign-ups with steady monthly premium payments? If not, how will we collect what they owe? Will all those who lost their coverage have enough money to buy the costlier

Some hard truths! This generation, who had a large part in winning Obama the election, twice, will pay for it the most. Are they too stupid to change their views or will they mature? That is the question for ’14 and ’16.

Could doctors be forced to participate? Physicians could be conscripted into the U.S. Public Health Service, one of the nation´s oldest uniformed services with a current commissioned officer corps of some 5,000 physicians, dentists and nutritionists ranging from ensign to rear admiral (U.S. surgeon general), and all reporting to Kathleen Sebelius. Though founded to assist returning Navy personnel, USPHS officers modernly often work in health clinics in the inner city. All it would take is a Democratic Congress and President to make it happen.

If today´s young Americans sit around in onesies and sip hot chocolate in them while on break from college - they are indeed in a lost generation.

Geezers, like me - in college in the 60´s - never, ever, ever did that.

Hopefully the 2014 election is going to teach the liberal Democrats that instead of pushing Obama Care through on a party line vote with no Republican support, thus sabotaging millions of American´s healthcare insurance and essentially making up new Obama Care provisions as they go along, that they should have thought all this through beforehand.

The majority of young college student who supported Obama now at least 19 years old are buried in a liberal democratic financial hole from which they will never recover. Mr. Hanson’s bleak picture doesn’t even include the devastation to their parent’s and grandparent’s financial future which in the past would have been a source of support. Their homes will disappear in reverse mortgages to support their parents increasing healthcare care and nursing home costs. Mom and dad no longer have a pension to augment social security. Instead helping they will be working to cover their monthly expenses well into their 70s. Go to a grocery store today and it is common to see elderly folks checking. I don’t recall ever seeing that in the 70s, 80s or the 90s. Kids better look close, that’s going to be grandma! Of course this is the real Obama plan for wealth redistribution, wealth destruction to equally impoverish. Maybe suffering even though it is self-inflicted will cause the young Obamites to do what their forefathers did during the depression and rebuild America into the greatest country in the world. Not likely. Video games are a lot more fun.

And, as long as those folks are all crackers, there is no doubt The Party supports it wholeheartedly.

Obama: Putin will lose — eventually

BRUSSELS — President Barack Obama said Wednesday that Vladimir Putin is just the latest in a series of history’s losers, comparing the Russian leader to those who came up short in World War I, World War II, the Cold War, the U.S. civil rights movement, apartheid and other major 20th-century struggles. Time’s on his side, Obama argued. People always struggle to be free and eventually succeed — and they will in Russia too, even if, for now, it’s ruled by a flouter of international law and obstinate believer in “that recycled maxim that might, somehow, makes right.” Putin — who waited six

ROME — President Barack Obama was once the biggest superstar on the international stage. On Thursday, he heads to the Vatican to benefit from the popularity of his replacement: Pope Francis. The visit is a rare chance for Obama to associate himself with a world leader whose cool factor far outweighs his own, and it comes at a critical time in his presidency. The White House is still recovering from what aides call a “lost year,” and the president’s job approval ratings at home are dipping to new lows. Obama will use the closely watched meeting to show how aligned he is

Sailors leaving Navy over stress on

A Navy F-18 fighter pilot and former Top Gun instructor is publicly warning admirals that retention is beginning to suffer from the military’s relentless social conditioning programs. Cmdr. Guy Snodgrass, until recently a Pentagon speech writer for the chief of naval operations, Adm. Jonathan Greenert, said sailors are becoming fed-up with the constant emphasis on social issues — an apparent reference to gays in the military, women in combat and ending sexual harassment. “Sailors continue to cite the over-focus on social issues by senior leadership, above and beyond discussions on war fighting — a fact that demoralizes junior and mid-grade officers alike,”

One by one, the myths of the Affordable Care Act have been revealed. When the curtain on open enrollment falls on March 31, the last remaining big myth of ObamaCare will be fully exposed: The individual mandate has failed. After a last-ditch effort with President Obama himself encouraging "young invincibles" to sign up before the deadline, the administration is scrambling to boost enrollment. On Tuesday, the White House announced that people who applied for coverage on the federal health-insurance exchange will have until mid-April to finish the paperwork. The mandate was supposed to be the administration´s magical elixir for the assorted shortcomings

Meanwhile, the world watches, stupefied, as Russian ships move to our doorstep. Trash-talking a nation that just swallowed up a chunk of its neighbor and upended the global order doesn´t seem like a very thoughtful strategy, given the weakness of U.S. sanctions following Russia´s annexation of Ukraine´s Crimea. But that was what President Obama seemed to be doing Tuesday in claiming Russia was nothing but small fry in world affairs. Perhaps Joe Biden at the signing ceremony saying into an open microphone that this was a "big (blanking) deal" would suffice. How do we know ObamaCare is failing? A pair of potentially catastrophic cases will be argued before the Supreme Court on Tuesday. These cases are brought by privately held, for-profit corporations that are arguing their religious convictions should preclude them from offering employees the health insurance required by law. Specifically, these private employers don’t want to allow their employees’ insurance to cover some forms of birth control because, contrary to medicaland scientific evidence, they believe some birth control causes abortions. Corporations are not people. Corporations cannot have religious views. If religious rights are extended to corporations, it puts us on a slippery slope where any private company

At the end of a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Netherlands on Tuesday, the applause for Barack Obama came from a grand total of one guy. One. After thanking the crowd twice for suffering through his boring, standard worn-out spiel, Obama looked around the room, expecting the usual fanfare and applause he receives from his loyal followers back home.
