´Duck Dynasty´ Star Phil

African-American Statements

Phil Robertson´s anti-gay comments aren´t the only part of his interview with GQ causing controversy. The 67-year-old "Duck Dynasty" star was suspended by A&E Wednesday for calling homosexuality sinful — and putting gay people in same category as terrorists. While those quotes quickly went viral, it wasn´t his only brow-raising statement in the interview; he also implied that African Americans were happier living under Jim Crow laws. "I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once," the reality star said of growing up in pre-Civil-Rights-era Louisiana. "Where we lived was all farmers. The ruling ´elite´ have no idea what it´s like to be a poor white person who´s life has been every bit as difficult as any minority.

The "Reality" shows are designed to prepare Americans for the big take-over. When the shows fail to make rural Americans look bad then the shows have to go.

The bi-coastal elites need to show the folks in flyover land as incompetents who need more regulation and more intervention.

Liberty is too precious to be wasted on the poor.

My grandmother grew up in rural Alabama. When she married, her husband worked in the cotton mill and she washed laundry in her front yard in big tubs to help pay bills. This idea that white people have had such an easy history is ridiculous.

David Steinberg used to have a comedy routine in the 60´s in which he skewered liberals thusly:

A liberal will never admit that:

Some blacks have rhythm
Some Jews are good with money
Some Chinese all look alike

Apparently libs will also never admit that some blacks were better off when their families were intact and their money came from paychecks instead of welfare checks. Such first-person accounts, we´re now told, are "inaccurate" and dangerous.

I had no idea.

I read the entire article on line. Phil referred to the Black people he worked on the farm as "godly", that is hardly an insult. He said he picked cotton with them and that he was poor white trash and he never found them to be hateful. What is wrong with what he said? #12, you hit the nail right on the head. Their comprehension is bad because they read from a "we are victims" perspective and anything that does not wholly support their view is unacceptable and incomprehensible to them. They then lie to try to get others to believe as they do and to try to discredit those they disagree with. They are totally incapable from having an intellectual discussion with anyone who does not agree with their point of view.

Bill Moyers did a special on PBS, a few years ago, focusing on civil rights.
And he said that he grew up in Texas and never noticed any discrimination against black people while he was growing up.
That was his observation. It stands as he said it. And he was not a poor white man working in the fields.
And no one from the NAACP said one critical word against moyers.

I grew up in a state next to Louisiana. Phil is eight years older than am I. I never saw a black person mistreated, much less beaten or lynched. Perhaps if I had been born 100 years earlier I might have, but I doubt it.

What Phil said about black people he knew was not a lie on the face. Perhaps his critics can prove that he lied. Stupid bigots that want to continue their own lying should not be allowed to promote propaganda without proof.

My dad lived in GA as a child and his best friend was black. My father wasn´t actually poor but I believe his friend might have been. My dad´s parents never discouraged the friendship, either. The reality, though, was that there was definite discrimination against black people in the Democrat-led, Jim Crow south regardless of whether it was seen on a daily basis or not. Mr. Robertson likely didn´t see it because he lived something quite similar as a very poor person.

But his point was that these black people were living as intact families with God/church at the center of their communities. And, yes, that will make a person happier than 80% illegitimacy, EBT cards, welfare payments, rampant drug addiction, violent gang culture, and community organizers will. No matter how poor you are.

He didn´t say a word about Jim Crow laws. He related his own experience working in the fields, alongside Black people, saying that they were happy, hard-working, Godly people. Unlike today, when they have been so thoroughly propagandized to believe they are entitled to be given everything, because the White Man owes them. I can never understand how all these MSM outlets editorialize about Jim Crow, and never mention that it was completely the creation of the Democrat party in the South, just as the KKK, to keep political power in their hands. Take a look at Chicago or Detroit, and see the same system in place... only the victims have changed. Today Jim Crow is practiced against Whites, conservatives, and Christians.

I grew up in the south. We weren´t poor and neither were my black neighbors who were farmers and land owners. There were no separate water fountains because you would have been hard pressed to find a water fountain. Nobody picked cotton either. Fish are losing their survival instinct as the world´s oceans become more acidic because of climate change, researchers have claimed. The study confirms laboratory experiments showing that the behavior of reef fishes can be seriously affected by increased carbon dioxide concentrations in the ocean. Carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere is absorbed into ocean waters, where it dissolves and lowers the pH of the water. The new study is the first to analyze the sensory impairment of fish from CO2 seeps, where pH is similar to what climate models forecast for surface waters by the turn of the century. ´These results verify our laboratory

WASHINGTON - Americans increasingly think Democrats have a better plan for healthcare than Republicans, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted after the White House announced that more people than expected had signed up for the "Obamacare" health plan. Nearly one-third of respondents in the online survey released on Tuesday said they prefer Democrats´ plan, policy or approach to healthcare, compared to just 18 percent for Republicans. This marks both an uptick in support for Democrats and a slide for Republicans since a similar poll in February. Big Government: The Congressional Budget Office warns of a terrifying, unprecedented level of national debt in the coming decade. That fits nicely with Democrats´ objectives, but not with our nation´s founding principles. Andrew Jackson, who in 1835 succeeded in paying off the national debt, was famous for considering debt slavery. The current fiscal path the U.S. is on does indeed lead to slavery, but the slave masters of the future will be well-heeled politicians and federal bureaucrats, not plantation owners. The CBO´s new budget projections contain an eerie warning that we are on path from today´s already unfathomable $17.7 trillion in gross

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K
