Fisker won´t ever make cars at

Fisker Automotive Holdings Inc., the bankrupt electric-car maker, won’t use the shuttered General Motors Co. plant it bought in Delaware even if its new owner resumes production, U.S. Senator Tom Carper said. Fisker, whose assets are being bought by a group led by Richard Li, son of Hong Kong’s richest man, is required under an agreement with the U.S. government to make its Karma luxury car in the U.S., Carper, a Delaware Democrat, said Thursday in an interview at Bloomberg’s Washington office. The company, supported by U.S. loans on which it defaulted at a $139 million loss to taxpayers, will

"U.S. taxpayers lost $139 million of the $192 million Fisker received after Li’s group, Hybrid Tech Holdings LLC, agreed to pay the Energy Department $25 million to assume the debt."

Can someone tell me what the above says? Where can I get a deal where I pay $25 million to get $139 million? We paid $139 million to transfer the business to China? Required to make it´s Karma luxury car in the US? How much do they need to change the design so it´s no longer a "Karma"? This has to be a DC insider´s money-making scheme... if the company was such a loser, why would anyone buy it, Chinese or otherwise?

I´m beginning to understand how the rich got richer, the parasites got more bling, and the working man lost income. Aside from Bernake enriching the rich, along comes Barry and enriches them through the working man´s taxes on his consumer failed bailouts.

I still remember the con artist hyping Barry´s policy of ´top down, bottom up, middle inside out´.

Detroit— The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department has a message for Detroit residents and companies more than 60 days late on their water bills: We’re coming for you. With more than half of the city’s customers behind on payments, the department is gearing up for an aggressive campaign to shut off service to 1,500-3,000 delinquent accounts weekly, said Darryl Latimer, the department’s deputy director. Including businesses, schools and commercial buildings, there are 323,900 Detroit water and sewerage accounts; 164,938 were overdue for a total of $175 million as of March 6. As long as the kids are away, teachers can play, a panel of judges said Thursday, ruling that educators shouldn’t be fired for having sex with one another — even in their classrooms. The Manhattan appellate judges said foreign-language teachers Alini Brito, 34, and Cindy Mauro, 38, were treated too harshly when they were dismissed for engaging in a topless classroom tryst inside Brooklyn’s James Madison HS in 2009. “The penalty of termination is shockingly disproportionate,” said the ruling, which noted that “engagement in what appeared to be consensual sexual conduct with an adult colleague is not in and of

Lincolnton police say they are looking for a man who allegedly posed as a podiatry student and sucked the toes of a female shopper this week in a Walmart store. Investigators said a man entered the store about 11:15 a.m. Monday, approached the woman and said he was a podiatry student. The two began a conversation, police said, and the man talked the woman into trying on several pairs of shoes. At one point, police said, the man held the woman’s foot, put it in his mouth, and sucked her toes. Police said the man’s image was captured on surveillance

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — We teach kids that honesty is the best policy, but at one Virginia Beach middle school it might be better to keep the truth to yourself. Last Thursday at Bayside Middle School, sixth grader Adrionna Harris came to the aide of a classmate who was cutting his arm. The New Jersey Attorney General has filed a brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court not to hear a challenge to New Jersey’s handgun-carry restrictions. The brief, filed Friday, asks the nation’s highest court to dismiss the arguments of John Drake, a Sussex County business owner who says he needs to be armed because he carries large amounts of cash for his ATM business. The state’s gun laws are “a careful grid of regulatory provisions” that only allow carry permits when there is “special danger to the applicant’s life,” wrote John J. Here´s another item for the (long) list of spectacular waste in the Pentagon´s budget: a $2.7-billion intelligence program that´s supposed to help Army troops on the ground collect and use intelligence on enemy fighters. It sounds like a good idea, but the thing is, the Army´s Distributed Common Ground System doesn´t actually do that, according to report from Foreign Policy. The article cites an internal assessment of the DCGS´s effectiveness, long requested by Congress but kept under wraps by the Pentagon for eight months.
