A&E declares war on ´Duck
Dynasty´s´ Christian values

Fox News, by Todd Starnes

Original Article

Duck Dynasty has been sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. By now you probably know that A&E indefinitely suspended Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the Duck Dynasty family, for following the teachings of the Holy Bible. Nothing says tolerance and diversity by silencing the Christians and shoving them in a closet. Between you and me, I think Duck Dynasty ought to indefinitely suspend A&E. Phil ran afoul of intolerant leftwing bullies after making comments about homosexuality to GQ magazine. When the writer asked Phil what he considered to be sinful behavior, he replied:

Comments:
Amen, brother.

Disney has never been a big supporter of American values or Christians even though this is the group that makes them profitable...

Makes one wonder what would Walt think if he were alive today.

Buy Duck Commander if you want to support. NOT Duck Dynasty. A&E gets a huge percentage of DD merch sales. More than the family.

See, I think the response is exactly what A&E expected. And they expect people to rush out and Chic-fil-a the DD swag. It´s why they pulled this stupid stunt -- they expect a windfall, they don´t give a toot about who´s been offended on either side. It´s all $$ to them. But if you just don´t buy DD and stick to their other businesses, you´re sending a real message.

It´s all a con with these TV people.

What A&E has done is a hateful act. It was done to someone who expressed their values, and A&E didn´t like it. More than dislike, A&E decided to punish this person for saying things they found disagreeable and offensive.
It doesn´t seem that A&E is very tolerant. It seems that A&E is hateful and intolerant.

Phil Robertson is not stupid. He knew he would have to make some sort of statement on homosexuality, based on the GQ demographic, when agreeing to be interviewed by GQ. He spoke the truth, because that what he´s about, and couldn´t care less about the blowback. A&E needs Duck Dynasty, not the other way around. If they cancel the series he will have made his point and then be able to take the show to another channel or network with more creative control, such as not editing out the majority of references to the Robertson´s beliefs.

Chick-fil-A is finally crossing the road. The iconic chicken chain, as well-known for its conservative heritage as its savory eats, is recalibrating its moral and culinary compass. It wants to go from old school to almost cool. It wants to evolve from a place where gays once picketed to a place where they´ll feel comfortable going to eat. It wants to broaden the brand as it expands nationally and plows into the Millennial-driven urban arena. Above all: it wants to be a serious player on fast-food´s biggest stage.

The gay and lesbian rights group GLAAD is slamming ´Duck Dynasty´ patriarch Phil Robertson for comments he made about homosexuality to GQ magazine, and challenging the show´s network, A&E, to take action against its most popular star. In a wide-ranging interview, Robertson shared his thoughts on homosexuality and religion. After stating in very graphic terms his preference for heterosexual sex over homosexual sex, Robertson launched into more thoughts about homosexuality and sinning. “Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong... Sin becomes fine,” he said.

The New York Daily News reports that Dustin Friedland had just let his wife into the couple´s $80,000 Range Rover and was walking to the driver´s side when he was accosted by the carjackers who demanded his keys. Fearful for his wife´s safety, he resisted and four shots were fired, including one that killed the recently married lawyer.

Former President Bill Clinton spoke at the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, where he invoked King’s memory to push for President Obama’s economic redistributionism. He linked King with Medicare and Medicaid, as well as the other pillars of Lyndon Baines Johnson’s welfare state. Clinton thanked Obama for his government interventionism and for Obamacare in the name of King. He called “inadequate income to pay for rising income” a “pre-existing condition” while suggesting that King would have hated gridlock.

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion.
