Joe Manchin Gives Marco Rubio Elephant-
Shaped Coal for Secret Santa

Breitbart Big Government, by Frances Martel

West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin found a way to give Sen. Marco Rubio a lump of coal for Christmas and not have it be an insult. Rubio, who began the year giving cable news fodder for his demise by drinking water and ends it as a Tea Party member with an asterisk to his name, certainly spent the year causing enough waves to expect a lump of coal from someone out there. At least this time, his gift was not the usual Santa punishment for children who had a naughty year but a symbol of hard work and integrity from a

Since Senator Joe moved to Washington and became BFF with Obama, the folks back in West Virginia are wondering what state the coal came from. Joe and his buddy Barack have closed down almost all of the coal operations in West Virginia.

I saw the interview with Joe Manchin on Fox´s Special Report and was singularly UNimpressed with this, so-called blue-dog Democrat. IMO he´s just a partisan Democrat from a state with a lot of conservative-leaning people who is trying to save his cushy senate seat. I believe someone on the panel invited him to join the Republicans, but he declined. I, for one, don´t want another self-serving political hack in the party. We have too many already.

Offshore wind farms can

Billions of dollars in U.S. damage from mega-storms Katrina and Sandy might have been avoided with a perhaps surprising device — wind turbines. That´s the finding of a ground-breaking study today that says mammoth offshore wind farms can tame hurricanes rather than be destroyed by them. It says a phalanx of tens of thousands of turbines can lower a hurricane´s wind speed up to 92 mph and reduce its storm surge up to 79%. Unlike sea walls, which protect cities from storm surges, wind farms pay for themselves by generating pollution-free electricity, says lead author Mark Jacobson, an engineering professor at Stanford

There is no scientific evidence that human activity is causing the planet to warm, according to Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore, who testified in front of a Senate committee on Tuesday. Moore argued that the current argument that the burning of fossil fuels is driving global warming over the past century lacks scientific evidence. He added that the Earth is in an unusually cold period and some warming would be a good thing. “There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years,” according

The University of Michigan and Michigan State University are under scrutiny by federal officials who are investigating how alleged sexual assaults were handled at the state’s two largest universities. On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights confirmed it is investigating two complaints of sexual violence allegations at MSU, and one complaint at U-M. The investigations came as students marched on U-M’s campus Tuesday, protesting the university’s handling of sexual assault investigations; federal officials will visit MSU’s campus this week to meet with students on the issue. But on Monday, the Congressional hopeful talked exclusively with 10 News about his role in a fatal accident along Bruce B. Downs. "It was a tragedy that occurred when I was a child," Jolly said. "I was 16 years old." Jolly was driving home with a friend from a movie one night when he said he hit a man walking in the road. The man, Blair Warren Ropes of Zephyrhills, died. The powerful Sinaloa cartel is expected to go right on selling billions of dollars of illegal drugs despite the takedown of its legendary leader, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, who leaves in place a sophisticated distribution network and business plan. Guzman´s capture Saturday was undoubtedly a major blow for a criminal ring likened to a Fortune 500 company — the loss of its chief executive coming on the heels of more than a dozen arrests of key lieutenants and lower-level operators in recent months. Yet the cartel remains the major supplier of cocaine to the U.S., and the arrest did not

Republicans renewed their fight against ObamaCare on Monday in response to a new report in which the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services concludes that 11 million small business employees will see their premiums rise under the law. The report, released Friday, says the higher rates are partly due to the health law´s requirement that premiums can no longer be based on a person´s age. That has sent premiums higher for younger workers, and lower for older ones. The report found that 65 percent of small businesses would see a spike in insurance premiums and about 35 percent of small

Then he stoked controversy with remarks about gay marriage. It all came as McConnell continued to avoid the pitfalls that have ensnared some of his Senate colleagues facing heat from the right. The result is that with three months until the primary, Bevin´s bid to defeat McConnell faces increasingly long odds. "He´s having some trouble," said veteran political observer Al Cross, a former

Darash told FoxNews.com he does not consider himself a sovereign citizen and that he´s never advocated violence to further his goals.

It has the makings of a royal mess for “King Barack.” Monday morning’s Supreme Court argument about the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority to regulate greenhouse gases went badly for the Obama administration — so much so that the real question before the justices seemed to be how severe the EPA’s loss would be. The administration’s solicitor general, Donald Verrilli, pleaded with the justices to recognize the “urgent problem” of climate change, because the “threat to future generations gets worse” with each passing year. Compared with how the Obama administration has swept under the rug the Benghazi attacks of September 11, 2012, Nixon’s attempt to cover up the Watergate burglary was rank amateurism.
