ObamaCare Found To Restrict

Freedom: It´s bad enough that the president´s health insurance takeover costs more, breaks his pledge of letting you keep your plan and diminishes choice. It actually restricts your travels too. ´We have never had to put a wall up to keep our people in." Those words from President John F. Kennedy in June 1963, standing at the Berlin Wall, neatly illustrated the moral superiority of the free West over the Soviet bloc. But Americans are now about to find themselves grappling with their own bureaucratic Berlin Wall. The American Thinker´s Stella Paul has exposed the virtually unnoticed fact that within the ObamaCare

Stoopid.

The federal government (if it should be doing anything) should mandate federal coverage, not coverage restricted to your county.

OMG One of the major fixes offered by the GOP in 2006was this: that a person could take his plan from state to state & also from job to job. This is just the opposite of any health care reform. Tear this bill out by the roots.

Pelosi can multitask, don´tcha know; she can be stupid and dishonest at the same time.

If you want the hair to stand on your neck, watch the video of a lady who lived through what is happening now back in the late 30´s and early 40´s. Definitely a parallel!

A second issue souring me on this bill is its failure to include the most common-sense clause to increase competition and drive down prices: portability of health insurance across state lines. What covert business interests is the Democratic leadership protecting by stopping consumers from shopping for policies nationwide?

gov´t control of manufacturing,
gov´t control of banks,
restrictions of purchases,
limitations of ownership of certain items (like cars)
abortion on demand (already have it)
removal of tax exemption for churches,

gov´t limitation on ownership of radio and TV,
gov´t censorship of radio and TV,
GPS devices to monitor your travels,
Executive control of the SCOTUS,

Not to worry: Zippy will just sign another Executive Order, mandating that those evil health insurance companies honor out-of-network health care, with no increase in premiums. Then the insurance companies will go broke and the left will usher in nirvana--single-payer socialized medicine.

Pelosi Laughably Claims
Democrats Are The Jobs Party

Election ´14: Chief House Democrat Nancy Pelosi says her party can win this November by asking, "Where are the jobs?" That´s like Bill Clinton running for re-election asking, "Where are the interns?" Former House Speaker Pelosi supposedly had been celebrating the fourth anniversary of the enactment of ObamaCare last week. She was, after all, standing before a placard touting "The Affordable Care Act Four Years Later," which featured photos of happy-looking, satisfied patients. "We just couldn´t be prouder," she said of the health reform that has been separating Americans from their preferred doctors, their health plans and lots more of their money in

Appointments: America is a country of 320 million people, most of them holding to traditional values. Yet President Obama keeps mining the fringes for his hires. Does he have any friends who aren´t crackpots? Seriously. The president keeps saying he champions the middle class and its values. But his choices of people to help him run the country are the most extreme in U.S. history, and his second-term nominations are more radical than the first. No sooner had even some Senate Democrats joined Republicans in voting down a cop killer-coddler for civil rights chief, Debo Adegbile, than Obama sent up a 2nd

The most closely watched and widely cited economic statistic in the world may be the unemployment rate. It first came into use in the 1930s, and its definition remained basically unchanged since. However, there is a growing realization that it has become an unreliable economic indicator, and it is time to find a better way to measure the health of the U.S. labor market. Policymakers are starting to take note, with Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., introducing legislation that would change how the Bureau of Labor Statistics measures unemployment. Even one of the last holdouts, the Federal Reserve, now seems to be moving toward

Missing jet WAS carrying highly flammable

Daily Mail (U.K.), by Simon Tomlinson    Original Article

Malaysian Airlines today confirmed that flight MH370 had been carrying highly flammable lithium-ion batteries in its cargo hold, re-igniting speculation that a fire may have caused its disappearance. The admission by CEO Ahmad Jauhari comes four days after he denied the aircraft was carrying any dangerous items and nearly two weeks after the plane went missing. He said the authorities were investigating the cargo, but did not regard the batteries as hazardous - despite the law dictating they are classed as such - because they were packaged according to safety regulations. The revelation has thrown the spotlight back on the theory that the

Two weeks after a Malaysia Airlines airliner went missing with 239 people on board, officials are bracing for the "long haul" as searches by more than two dozen countries turn up little but frustration and fresh questions. The international team hunting Flight MH370 in the remote southern Indian Ocean yielded no results on Friday, and Australia´s deputy prime minister said suspected debris there may have sunk. Aircraft and ships have renewed the search in the Andaman Sea between India and Thailand, going over areas that have already been exhaustively swept to find some clue to unlock one of the biggest mysteries in

The moment missing flight MH370 turned westwards unexpectedly is the point at which Malaysian air traffic controllers handed over to their Vietnamese colleagues, the final communications from the cockpit today reveal. It fuels theories that the missing Malaysia Airlines plane was hijacked, as one former pilot said it is the point at which the flight would have momentarily been invisible to ground control. The final 54 minutes of communication between the flight deck of the Malaysia Airlines plane and ground control has emerged as day two of a major search of the southern Indian Ocean found no sign of possible debris spotted

Russian President Vladimir Putin has invaded and annexed Crimea, continuing a Kremlin practice of employing military intervention abroad under the pretext of protecting ethnic Russians and Russian interests. While Putin´s creep into Ukraine is far from over, there are other military moves Russia could make to extend its post-Soviet sphere of influence. Wikistrat, a consultancy that analyzes geopolitical and economic forces using crowd-sourced expertise, has been calculating what could happen next in the region. In January, Wikistrat analysts forecast the potential for Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to resign (which he did a month later) and for Crimea to request annexation into Russia (which

WASHINGTON — Iran is building a nonworking mock-up of an American nuclear-powered aircraft carrier that United States officials say may be intended to be blown up for propaganda value. Intelligence analysts studying satellite photos of Iranian military installations first noticed the vessel rising from the Gachin shipyard, near Bandar Abbas on the Persian Gulf, last summer. The ship has the same distinctive shape and style of the Navy’s Nimitz-class carriers, as well as the Nimitz’s number 68 neatly painted in white near the bow. Is Barack Obama simply too busy to be Chief Executive of the United States? Apparently. One of the primary functions of the president is to keep the nation safe, to preserve it from its enemies. To do that effectively, one would actually have to maintain something of a consistent level of attention to the moving pieces that directly influence how future events will unfold. None other than the truly sycophantic thinks for a second that President Obama cares a whit for anything that does not involve fundamentally altering the social composition of this country. Or golf. Black students are more likely to be suspended from U.S. public schools — even as tiny preschoolers. The racial disparities in American education, from access to high-level classes and experienced teachers to discipline, were highlighted in a report released Friday by the Education Department´s civil rights arm. The suspensions — and disparities — begin at the earliest grades. Black children represent about 18 percent of children in preschool programs in schools, but they make up almost half of the preschoolers who are suspended more than once, the report said. Six percent of the nation´s districts with preschools reported suspending at
