Barbara Walters on Obama: ‘We Thought
He Was Going To Be The Next Messiah’

Newsbusters, by Noel Sheppard

Original Article

Yes, she really said it. On CNN’s Piers Morgan Live Tuesday, in a brief discussion about President Obama, Barbara Walters actually said, “We thought that he was going to be - I shouldn´t say this at Christmastime, but - the next messiah” (video follows with transcript and commentary): PIERS MORGAN, HOST: You have interviewed every president of my lifetime. Why is Obama facing so much opposition now? Why is he struggling so much to really fulfill the great flame of ambition and excitement that he was elected on originally in 2009?

This is just another example of the simple-mindedness of so many celebrities. There was nothing in Obama´s background to indicate leadership qualities of any kind. Anyone with half a brain could see from the beginning that his failures were being glossed over by a protective "politically correct" media. This same media would try to
portray Obamacare favorably if it wasn´t such an obvious disaster.

BaWa, you cannot be serious? If Obama isn´t the messiah, how will he cure the sick in order to reduce health care premiums? How else can he charge the same premium to those with pre-existing conditions as those who are healthy unless Obama is the messiah?

This is from the despicable woman who boasted about her affair with the Massachusett´s senator while Sen Brooks´ wife was still alive. Boast made to hype her autobiography.

The essence of this story is hat Barbara Walters admits that she was a dupe, that her fine-tuned journalistic insight was totally wrong, and therefore that she never should have been given any credibility as a pundit.

They didn´t call him Lightbringer because he was the first black president. They called him Lightbringer because he was the first socialist president (who could conveniently exploit race to condemn his critics). It was the socialism, the implicit promise that he was Far Left ("fairness" wink wink nudge nudge) that made the loathsome MSM wet their pants over him.

But they still do. To bail on Lightbringer now would be to admit they were both moronic and unforgivably dishonest in foisting this fraud upon the public. They´ll never, ever do that. Like, ever.

Everyone has faith in something, even the irreligious, whether that object is or isn´t worthy of deification. Babrara Walters´ quote truly pegs her as a hollow spiritual waif and a fool. During my lifetime no professional broadcaster has ever said anything that could top that utterance for sheer cluelessness. Get a hold of yourself, woman! People like this shouldn´t even vote, let alone venture into public spaces.

Yes, it´s true that many of us had deep (and, as it turned out, quite justified) affection for Reagan, whose presidency began a quarter century economic expansion and led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union. But none of us--not even one, I´d wager--thought for a moment that Reagan was any sort of god. He was just a good and wise man with proper motivation, which was quite sufficient. Conservatives, especially, aren´t looking for any messiah except the real one. No matter how eloquent, no modern politician could do a believable impression of Our Lord.

It´s godless leftists, drifting aimlessly about with their homesick religious inclinations flung like paint at the nearest blank wall, who do that. In 2008 Louis Farrakhan came right out and proclaimed that Obama was indeed the Messiah, as if Calypso Louie would have had the foggiest idea about the nature of the Christian Savior.

A lifetime of small uncorrected stupidities culminates eventually in the Mother of All Stupidities. Ms. Walters, whose nosy career has consisted solely of vaporous celebrity chasing, has finally reached the promised land where the Principle finally Peters out.

He may have been the next "massiah" to the liberal/progressives, but this part of their problem.

Only about 20% identify as liberal.

Therefore, 80% of the population don´t support he liberal agenda.

And Obama is VERY liberal, which is even smaller group.

Liberals are typically upper-income, college educated and overwhelminly white.

Hardly the Democrat party.

And figuratively speaking, a lot of O´s supporter supported him on emotion: "hope and change" sounded so uplifting. The man behind the curtain was, of course, just a man and not a very competent one at that.

Obama won because Republicans don´t have the courage (or the character) to proclaim that it is theft to take from those who produce, and "gift" to those who have not.

Instead, Republicans prefer to stick their noses into other people´s private lives.

Obama didn´t fool anyone.

This is what happens when you have people calling themselves Christian when in fact they know nothing about true Christianity and what Gods´ plan is for this world and those who have wisdom. And yes it can be blamed squarely on the backs of churches for not teaching the doctrine of God instead of the doctrine of man. Being a true Christian is very hard and not easy as most churches preach.

Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. There are no signs of either side relinquishing their position. Many onlookers have been informed that this dispute is over protecting the desert tortoise. But it is nothing of the sort. In fact, the reality of the dispute goes far underneath what is being talked about. The more appropriate source of the dispute is ground water as well as surface water -- this is a war over water. A Nevada cattle rancher appears to have won his week-long battle with the federal government over a controversial cattle roundup that had led to the arrest of several protesters. Cliven Bundy went head to head with the Bureau of Land Management over the removal of hundreds of his cattle from federal land, where the government said they were grazing illegally. Bundy claims his herd of roughly 900 cattle have grazed on the land along the riverbed near Bunkerville, 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, since 1870 and threatened a "range war" against the BLM on the Bundy Ranch website after one of

Let me obliterate a bit of confusion here: the Obama administration attempted to go to war with a rancher in Nevada. Let me amplify a little bit of truth: They tucked tail and have returned home. They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion.
