MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts: So Many
Consider Obama the ‘First Gay President’

Mediaite, by Noah Rothman

Original Article

Posted By:PageTurner, 12/17/2013 2:03:25 AM

MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts examined the notion on Monday that President Barack Obama faces an uphill battle to safeguard the rights of gays and lesbians abroad who face repression in their home countries who are less tolerant of alternative lifestyles. Roberts asked if Obama has credibility with repressive government given that so many see him as America’s “first gay president.” Given the many areas in which the U.S. has encoutnred friction with Russia, a country that has cracked down on the rights of same-sex individuals recently, Roberts asked a human rights advocate on Monday whether the president has any credibility

Comments:
And who is to argue with him? The mullahs certainly do, and so does Putin. They know a limp wrist when they see one. If not gay, at least metrosexual. Perhaps we will hear more about the Chicago Bathhouses when he comes out.

What do people expect Obama to do when his only sex option is MO?I doubt Obama is gay,if anything he´s probably sexually ambivalent. He courts gay for no other reason than they have deep pockets. In fact,i think most of Obama´s policies are donor orientated.I doubt he really believes in climate change but he has to keep them folks happy.

A book claims Obama doesn´t like professional blacks like Rangel.White liberals are probably Obama´s main brokers and who he identifies with. Most of them probably work through Jarret tbecause she can translate things into simple terms Obama can understand.

A long time ago, someone advised Obama if he wanted to move up the food chain in Chicago,he needed to go to church as a family because voters there liked that for whatever reason.

The Left: Grocer Trader Joe´s has pulled out of a planned expansion to a poor area in Portland, Ore., after a community organizing group objected. The organizers can now take a bow for the neighborhood´s loss. Hectoring the private chain with racially tinged language, wealthy poverty-racketeers from a foundation-funded group called the Portland African American Leadership Forum claimed that a $2.4 million store on a vacant lot in a run-down part of northeast Portland would gentrify the area, driving up retail prices and driving out the local black community. "We will expropriate whatever needs to be expropriated," Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro cautioned in reference to the new Law of Costs and Fair Prices. Concomitantly, the president urged private companies to comply with the new law. His statements came during the commemoration of the coup attempt of February 4, 1992. The Venezuelan president threatened to take "the most radical measures to protect our people´s economy." "I make an appeal to the country economic sectors, for work and self-regulation of commodities and prices. You have time until next Monday; otherwise, I will take the most radical measures," Maduro specified.

Not only Nicolás Maduro has inherited the presidential chair, but has he the heavy economic legacy from Hugo Chávez. With two devaluations of the bolivar currency this year and a third looming in the horizon, the battered economy of Venezuela is starting to put the president of the Republic against the wall. It has all been as if hunger and an urge to eat had had become accomplices to create this situation. By forcing businesses to lower their prices, without a criterion of rationality and in a gesture of obscene demagogy, the Government recently gave the country’s commercial establishments a surprise

President Barack Obama is out of gas. Pooped out. Gone fishing. Or rather, golfing. He’s just not that into it anymore. The republic is safe from any further vast left-wing legislative prescriptions for our ills. But Obama’s increasing job fatigue is, paradoxically, cause for serious concern. While he sits back, aides in the White House and in the agencies are busy enacting a stealth agenda of rules and regulations. And on the world stage, Washington’s withdrawal threatens national security. Argentina’s luck is finally starting to run out. It devalued its currency by 15 percent last week, marking the beginning of a possible economic crisis of the kind Argentina has become known for. Argentina’s problem is that it has followed the logic of populism for more than a decade and President Cristina Kirchner is showing no interest in changing course. In the 1990s Argentina combined far-reaching but sometimes flawed market-reforms with irresponsible fiscal policies, culminating in its 2002 default on $81 billion in debt—the largest sovereign default in history. The country delinked its currency from the dollar, experienced a severe economic

The story from the embattled school administrators is that a "child nutrition manager" sought to correct the arrears of parents´ payments to their subsidized lunch program ($2.50 a day) and, after giving a day´s notice, had food service workers yank the trays of served food right out of the children´s little

It is one of the most common - albeit, ineptly used - elements of the English language. Now, an American academic has suggested that the comma could be abolished as a punctuation mark. Professor John McWhorter claims removing commas from most modern U.S. texts would cause ´little loss of clarity´ - meaning they may now be in a state of obsolescence. He adds that internet users are becoming increasingly carefree in their use of the punctuation mark - with some professional writers following suit, according to The Times. ´[You] could take them out of a great deal of modern American

SAN ANTONIO — We recommend incumbent John Cornyn for the GOP´s U.S. Senate nomination, based on unmatched experience and decades of service to Texas. The theme among a bevy of challengers seems to be that Cornyn is a CINO, a conservative in name only. This is not just counter-intuitive but counter-factual. Various ratings — liberal and conservative — have agreed on one thing, Cornyn´s conservative credentials are genuine. Not conservative? Cornyn is No. 2 in Senate leadership and diverged only slightly from the conservative playbook in a year in which he offered a measure that would further beef up security at the
