The fake sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service last week was among a group of people accused of assaulting two men found with a stolen television and burning them to death, according to his friends. The interpreter, who sparked outrage when it was revealed that he was using fake sign language during the event, joined others in allegedly setting fire to tires and placing them around the two men’s necks, one of the interpreter’s cousins and three of his friends told the Associated Press. Thamsanqa Jantijie was never tried for the 2003 killings because authorities determined he was not

Mmmm. And we idolize them, because of their race, I suppose. Nasty, evil, uncivilized, selfish barbaric... need I go on? This will disappear into the dark because, even if blacks do wrong, they deserve to, given their historic horrid treatment, etc. are not held to civilized standards, which is so self-defeating, and something Sharpton et.al. should be about, instead of his private clubs and VSOP´s... It´s a liberal narrative, like Goebbel´s Nazi narrative.

Intolerance: The left hounded a CEO from his job over a 2008 donation in favor of a California measure opposing gay marriage. So much for free speech and job performance. This is a descent into mob tyranny and mediocrity. The dirty work of the left was achieved after Brendan Eich, recently appointed CEO of Mozilla, a software company based in Silicon Valley, was forced out of the company he helped found, all to feed the maw of political correctness. Eich´s "crime" had nothing to do with his job performance, let alone the inclusive work atmosphere he fostered at Mozilla.

Free Markets: "Small Earthquake In Chile, Not Many Killed" was once billed as the world´s dullest headline. Well, now there´s been a huge quake in Chile and not many killed. Not dull at all — viva free markets! It´s a sign of hope, particularly for the earthquake-jittery Los Angeles and Yellowstone areas, to see that Chile, a sliver of a country on the knife´s edge of a jutting tectonic plate, came out of an 8.3 mega-quake, and a series of aftershocks as high as 7.6, with just six dead — four of heart attacks. The United Nations and others, of course, have

Chevron accuses the oh-so-respected firm of lying, concealing inconvenient facts, running a public smear campaign and miscellaneous other flim-flammery, all for the sake of the dollar signs spinning in their eyes. Is British TV chef Nigella Lawson’s archenemy ex-husband Charles Saatchi behind the move to deny her entry to the US? The powerful businessman has a family connection to the Obama campaign and the current US Ambassador in London, Matthew Barzun. Barzun was appointed as US Ambassador by President Obama last year. The former CNET exec is a longtime activist in the Democratic party, and was a prominent fund-raiser for the 2008 Obama campaign, organizing mass events. Saatchi’s nephew, Edward Saatchi, also worked on the 2008 Obama campaign as a manager and founded NationalField, a social network to allow campaign staff to share information.

Classical music legend Itzhak Perlman says he was abandoned at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport after he arrived in town for a charity concert Monday afternoon. The world-renowned violinist, who contracted polio as a child and gets around with the aid of crutches or a scooter, says he has a note on his file with Air Canada that he requires assistance upon landing at the airport. This time, the person who met him was upset that he had carry-on luggage and then abandoned him before they arrived at customs.

SANTIAGO, Chile — A powerful magnitude-8.2 earthquake struck off northern Chile on Tuesday night, setting off a small tsunami that forced evacuations along the country’s entire Pacific coast. Officials reported two deaths and several serious injuries, but the area apparently escaped major damage as landslides blocked roads, power failed for thousands, an airport was damaged and several businesses caught fire. Iquique Gov. Gonzalo Prieto told Radio Cooperativa that two people were known to have died after the quake hit at 8:46 p.m. and several others had serious injuries. The mayor of Tarapaca attributed the deaths to heart attacks. The U.S. Geological Survey

Hemisphere: Venezuela´s price and currency controls have wrought what they always wreak: monster shortages. And it stinks, literally, with toilet paper, diapers, soap and deodorant joining drugs on the list. That shutoff from global standards is what prevents willing buyers from acquiring goods from abroad, the source of 80% of Venezuela´s consumer staples. No foreign currency, no purchases. Further down the line, price controls have driven more shortages as costs to produce in an economy with a 56% inflation rate have made it impossible to turn a profit.

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

He has appeared on TV news shows 12 times in the past six months. That’s essentially on pace with Michigan GOP Rep.
