That´s $3,400 per wear! Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama has once again stepped out in her $6,800 J Mendel jacket, despite fielding a backlash last time she wore the pricey garment. [Snip] But the last time she wore the embellished garment, in July 2012 at a Buckingham Palace reception in London, political commentators took issue with the fact that she had spent so much on fashion while so many in the U.S. are suffering financially. A post on the Gateway Pundit blog remarked that the design ´cost more than the average American family makes in a month ($4,284)´. ´She does this as Americans continue to suffer through a

Thank you for those observant post. I suggest "Lipstick Grifter Soi Disant Queen." She´s a Queen in her own pea-sized brain perhaps... By the by, why was she disbarred (was she ever an attorney?) and who is now in the P.R. hospital job that she "filled," in the full meaning of that word, in Chicago?

If you have any doubts, it´s now clear we have a couple of grifters in the WH. Oh my.

Mrs. Obama is angry and bitter because she was born black. There is a lot of self loathing in the black community.

Just because it cost $6,800, that doesn´t make it attractive.

It just makes her seem stupid for wearing it.

Wonder what the 0´s had to promise the girls to get them to smile? This may have been the first time I´ve seen the young one doing anything but scowling. Unfortunately, their taste in attire matches the Mooch...who was robbed by about $6000 for that ill fitting top no matter how many times she wears it.

#4 is right, hence all of the plastic surgery on her nose, chin and lips, and the wigs which are all straight haired or softly curled. Everything she has done has been in an attempt to look more white. Since she obviously loathes whites, it´s a sign of some deep seated emotional illness.

Does the woman not own any panty hose? I´ve never seen her anything but bare legged, even in the dead of winter. Trashy. At least her daughters have enough sense to wear them. And the side view looks like she´s wearing an oversized bustle. Is Edwardian clothing back in fashion?

BTW, I read yesterday that the Hawaii extravaganza is 17 days.

I suspect the real point here though is an in our faces one. She can afford to pay over $6K for a single jacket, and we can´t. Lipstick meet pig is right.

OK folks, I´m as disgusted at these low-class jackasses as anyone, but I think the Obamas pay for their own clothes. If she spent that much on the jacket I would hope she would wear it enough to "get the good out of it". We have too many other issues to worry about other than how she spends money from her own pocket. The vacation is a different thing. The taxpayers foot the bill for the transportation and the security at a hefty price.

The true definition of ´style´ is the ability to look like a million bucks in an outfit purchased at Goodwill. I know this for a fact; my mother was known for her style but when I was small my parents had very little. My mother HAD to shop Goodwill since she had no other choice. But with her innate sense of style and great taste she always looked fabulous (for mere pennies).
I don´t even think the total cost of her entire wardrobe over 50 years of marriage cost anywhere close to 6800.00 dollars.

Let´s see Michelle shop Goodwill and see what she comes up with.

She says that they have good clothing cheap - so why spend more? She is a girl that could wear ANYthing & look beautiful. I blogged yesterday about this "segregated" Muslim event organised by the Islamic Society of the University of East London, due to happen tonight at UEL´s main lecture theatre on its Docklands campus. Much to my surprise, UEL immediately banned it from their campus. [Snip] UEL should be congratulated over this. As I pointed out, it has an "equality and diversity" policy. It didn´t know that the dinner organised by the Islamic society--which was to include a speech by the controversial anti-gay preacher Murtaza Khan--was segregated by sex and was providing a platform for an extremist. Tony Blair´s religious charity has links to an Islamic extremist group being investigated by MI5 and MI6, it has been alleged. [Snip] The organisation has been declared a terrorist group in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and could be banned in Britain, despite insisting they do not have links to extremist factions. The Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Watch, which has been looking into the group for 13 years, revealed that Dr Ismail Khudr Al-Shatti, an adviser to the Kuwaiti government and a member of Mr Blair’s advisory council, is a leading member of the Kuwaiti branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. the

Deep in the flat and featureless landscape of eastern Ukraine, it is all too possible that the outline of World War III is taking shape. Whipped up by the Kremlin propaganda machine and led by Russian military intelligence, armed men are erecting road blocks, storming police stations and ripping down the country’s flag. They are demolishing not just their own country — bankrupt, ill-run and beleaguered — but also the post-war order that has kept most of Europe and us, here in Britain, safe and free for decades. Vladimir Putin is striking at the heart of the West.

The Internal Revenue Service is considering a bold move to label perks like free lunch given to workers by companies as taxable. The agency wonders if freebies like haircuts and gym memberships are a way to compensate the highly skilled rather than just a way to jumpstart productivity. After all, argue proponents of such a tax, workers at Silicon Valley firms like Google and Facebook receive free meals from famously fancy in-house eateries every day. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,

Climate change’s latest casualty appears to be fish — or more specifically, fish brains — as researchers say the carbon dioxide that’s being absorbed into the ocean is causing the scaly creatures to lose their survival instincts. In other words, the fish are losing their minds, The Daily Mail reported. The acid from atmospheric carbon dioxide seeps into sea waters, dissolves and ultimately lowers the pH balance, researchers said. The acidic waters then hamper the fishes’ sensory systems, so they’re not able to distinguish between smells any longer, the scientists went on. When the acid levels get really high, the fish lose their
