Our Bored President
American Thinker, by Ed Lasky

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 12/16/2013 5:58:24 AM

Valerie Jarrett, Obama´s Rasputin, unwittingly provided us an answer to the question of why the Obama Presidency is such a man-caused disaster. There are few people who are close to the notoriously insular Barack Obama (a former aide, Neera Tanden, said that "Obama doesn´t call anyone, and he´s not close to almost anyone. It´s stunning that he´s in politics, because he really doesn´t like people") but Valerie Jarrett is among the select few. They have been friends for decades; she introduced Barack to Michelle; she is a constant presence in the White House, and highly unusual for a White House

Wow! Ed takes it to our "Faux President."
Bored? Maybe.
But I see laziness--both physical and intellectual laziness.
One could almost say shiftless, but that would be raaaaaaaaacist.

I remember being so disappointed to learn that a family member bought fairly expensive tickets to see Lady Gaga a couple of years back. Saw her "perform" on television and I couldn´t see what others saw in her. Some song she wrote and dedicated to her uncle repeated one phrase over and over and over again. Supposedly, she is an excellent pianist, but I couldn´t see that either.

Maybe because I grew up listening to Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn and we all just knew they were really talented and they LOVED what they were doing. And maybe because there are so few classy politicians around today that that Obama could become such a star, but I´m reading that people are not so enthralled with Gaga anymore; her star´s fading a little.

Obama´s our Gaga.

"he is not omniscient nor is he particularly bright"

Much criticism of barry Obama is followed by variations of the phrase, "I like him as a person, I just don´t like his policies."

I hate him as a person too. He is a shiftless, lazy, egotistical fraud who doesn´t understand most of what he does, what little there is of it. It´s no wonder he screws up all over the place and can´t seem to find a success.

My suggestion for him is to retire and he can do nothing every day. We can´t sustain any more damage from his flawed ideas.

Well to me his lack of motivation to engage others is just a side effect of his long term use of marijuana. His whole personality is one of a heavy drug user. Perhaps that is why he has Valerie Jarrett making all the decisions. He is truly the Manchurian Candidate! He´s bored not because he is so brilliant (as the msm wants us to believe) but because his excessive drug use has affected his brain. If we ever get to see his foreign student college transcripts I would bet that he was average at best. We´ve been hoaxed!

Laskey does a superb job of explaining one of the two reasons 0´s regime is such a failure: his startling inadequacy in terms of intellect, personality, work ethic and integrity. Here´s number two: Valerie Jarrett makes a LOUSY president.

"Empty words from an empty man". Perfect!´
People get bored when they are idle. Obama is bored because he is too lazy to actually work at anything. He is boring because he is not interested in anything worth talking about. He keeps his grades hidden as they would expose him as mediocre. Once again, the young Americans are beginning to see, "the emperor has no clothes on."

Very good article Mr Lasky! Pretty much sums up this president... "Barack Obama has found work too mundane, too boring to bother spending time on." This man acts like a 12 year old. Even more unbelievable he ever was elected, and man are we ever paying the price. Shameful for this great nation.

Ordinarily, I wouldn´t disagree with Lasky, but Obama isn´t "bored". He is lazy. He has no work ethic and will do nothing that doesn´t immediately gratify his need for adulation.

The only real effort I have seen Obama put forth is when he is playing basketball or golf. He´s as shallow and shiftless as they come and he isn´t fooling anyone any more.

....except Chris Matthews.

The same people who overlook all of Obama´s flaws (my opinion of M. Bechloss went way down after his i.q. comments and has never come back) are more than willing to ignore Hillary´s inconsistencies, lies and even HER health care plan in the next round--just you watch. And the same people who declared that being against Obama´s governance was "racist" will declare any comments anti Hillary´s anti women. Amazingly, it seems to work with a lot of people, even smart ones, if they are dedicated Democrats.

The flip side of the boredom is Obama´s complete lack of curiosity about things. I pointed this out to a now former friend during the Gulf oil spill. Where was Obama? I asked. Why hadn´t he taken steps to get all the latest clean up technology to the Gulf? Instead he was circumventing the law and browbeating BP into setting up a massive slush fund to administered by one of his cronies- an invitation to fraud and corruption? I noted that both Presidents Bush, Clinton, Reagan and Carter would have all been fascinated by the machinery involved.

The response I got was But, but but but Obama cared about people and letting the law work was too slow. Those people needed compensation now and Obama wouldn´t actually do anything wrong.

I haven´t spoken to this obtuse idiot in dour years.

Thank you Ed, everything you wrote is spot on. Especially, "he is not bright". I have thought (forever) that he is not smart, not bright, not intelligence. In fact he posses a very mediocre intelligence. Mooch who is a proven light-weight in the intelligence department, proven by her poorly worded and poorly written racial argument, er...thesis. She, with a very weak track record of cognitive thinking is more intelligent than he is. ValJar, also is not very intelligent.

We are being ruled by the least intelligent persons ever to live in the Spite House. Cruel, nasty, cunning, yes, but not smart.

Ive said for years, the man just loves BEING president, but could care less about doing the job, or even about the country. Its all about the adulation and power for him. He doesnt have a clue what it is to work, so why would he admire that trait in anyone else.

Can we withstand the rest of his term? Will we see the focus turn to Hillary and how mean the Republicans are to women? O isnt going to like losing all the attention so soon in his last term. Look for a cat fight.

Intelligence is an issue in Obama´s isolation. If he had a spark of intelligence he could find lots to occupy himself with as president. However, his low intelligence is intimidated by its inadequacies. This is quite a common problem among many of us. People giving up when they fear they cannot meet the challenge and do not want to be embarrassed. The quotes in the article that purport to show Obama as a superior person denigrating others should be viewed as an inferior person denigrating his betters. It can work both ways.

The simple case where he stumbles with words, when the teleprompter is taken away and he is unable to come up with a canned response, is more than enough to show his mediocrity. Besides he never shows spontaneity.

To discuss Obama´s boredom or anything about him as relates to higher human qualities, one has to avoid caving in to fabricated stories of superiority of any kind. He is an embarrassing mediocrity and he ought always to be viewed and talked of in that way.

He likes to posture as a man with a vision, but he spends his time in petty personal diversions and excesses. Why does anyone other than partisan politicos pretend that the media spin has any validity? Why ignore your own good sense?

I don´t waste too many brain cells reading articles about Obama and his ´complexities´.
Obama is a low IQ, lazy fraud who happened to pull off the biggest fraud/hoax of all, get elected to the presidency. Any con man, fraud would be proud to pull that off.
In the real world on the street Obama would be just another millennial pecking on an electronic gadget with his headphones on wearing a back pack.
When all this is finished many will be appalled at the lies and the facts/truths about the man as a real dangerous fraud and criminal he is along with his handlers. Shocked will be more like it. I´m not impressed nor is there anything redeeming about a low life like Barry or Obama or whatever made up name he uses.
People were duped and it wasn´t me.

The spin is that he is so off the charts brilliant that mundane things bore him. Let me clue you in to something. Smart people don´t get bored. He is bored all the time because, except for a few limited talents in public speaking and political manipulation, he is just bone stupid. His stupidity is what causes his laziness and lack of intellectual curiosity. Hence his lack of connections to people, and his disinterest in policies. All he really has are the leftist bromides and boilerplate cliches that were drummed into him when he was a kid, and never bothered to reexamine as an adult. So he plays golf, shoots hoops and seeks photo ops and stokes his ego by fantasizing about his athleticism (although he´s really a klutz)and exercises his brain once a year with bracketology, when it comes time to predict the NCAA March Madness basketball rankings. Man, we are so screwed!

Bored of the Things

The night was as clear as an elfstone, sparkling with starpoints, as gReid gathered his party in the pasture outside the town. In addition to J. Fraud Skeevy, were the twin sisters Maxine and Pelosi Dingleberry, both of whom were noisome and easily expendable. They were frisking happily in the meadow. gReid called them to attention, wondering vaguely why Obamboozler had saddled him with two tail-wagging idiots that no one in the town could trust with a burnt-out match. ??"Let´s go, let´s go!" cried Maxine. ??"Yes, let´s," added Pelosi, who promptly took one step, fell directly on her flat head, and managed to bloody her nose. ??"Icky!" laughed Maxine. ??"Double icky!" wailed Pelosi. ??gReid rolled his eyes heavenward. It was going to be a long epic...

Whatever happened to Mark Levin´s Liberty Amendments? There was a lot of chatter about them when his latest book came out, but it seems to have been forgotten about lately. Which is unfortunate, because there is a lot of wisdom in going back to the intent of the Founding Fathers. They never intended for individual citizens to be voting for the President. If we took the lo-fos out of the equation and went back to state legislatures choosing the members of the Electoral College and then the EC alone choosing the President, we wouldn´t have the dangerous and damaging situation of an unqualified and unfit charlatan like Barry Soetoro getting into the White House by conning a pack of uninformed ignoramuses into voting for him with empty feel-good promises masking an ulterior motive. That´s not to say we wouldn´t from time to time get stuck with an incompetent partisan hack as President, but almost anybody would be more qualified than the snake oil salesman and his gaggle of sycophants that we have now. Come on Mark, let´s get it in gear and get us back to where we once belonged.

Well, that´s the kind of person you get when your media does not do it´s job.

However, I know something about "bored" people. I was a prison guard for 11 years. Bored people will find their own entertainment. The more bored they are the more exciting they want that entertainment to be. They act out to get it and don´t really care who get´s hurt in the process. They are in love with the edge, the brink. They push to see what will happen next- anything to not let it be predictable.

Øbama is two things, besides a con artist. He is a child man, an ignorant of low experience in life. But, worse, he is our President and he is not going to like not being liked- not at all. Think of that kind of person and then think of the emense power he has at his fingertips. And he´s bored.

She was irate and upset that he had no ambition, failing grades , druggie friends ,
no job, no plans for college, etc.

I think I´ll do that.

Unlike Barry, she respects her parents and has a normal , loving relationship with them.

During George W. Bush´s Presidency, the left loved referring to Karl Rove as "Bush´s Brain", remember that? They hated Bush and the media helped promulgate the myth that he was stupid.

If you asked the same people on the left (the low information voters) who Valerie Jarrett is, they wouldn´t have a clue. They have no idea that she actually makes the decisions in the White House.

Immanuel Goldstein nailed it: "smart people are never bored". Great Bill of Particulars article! The "Bills" lists of this frightening imposter are growing. Eventually, almost every literate person will read at least one of them!
Barry is not even as smart as his two movie star fans, Clooney and Hanks. Like Obama, all they can do to be great is speak the lines of other writers. But at least Tom and George are smart enough to memorize the lines of otters. Barry can´t even memorize the commie drivel he is "fed" to say. He has to have exclusive access at all times to a TelePrompTer to say the words of others.
How smart is that? We always see him reading off of a TelePrompTer, and always see him standing in front of a chorus of people stupidly nodding yes to everything he says. Exactly what TV announcers do. Exactly what his worshipping fan David Letterman does. You remember the formerly funny, now socialist, Lettterman? Even Fox News continuously shows him off in his sprightly walking pace at the White House porch and alighting from the ever present helicopter, waving to non existent people.

It´s way past time for the more daring Levins, Becks, Laskys and Steyns, to come forward and attack the alleged, shocking forgery of Soetoro´s birth certificate and all of his other MASS of hidden documents of record

Those people who see through them are like the child in the tale of The Emperor´s New Clothes--only he can see the Emperor is naked.

Some thoughts;

1. Anybody heard results of the annual physical exam done on Obama ? The first year I heard that he was advised to give booze and cigarettes a rest. Have never heard ANY reports since.
2. An area talk radio host asked present or former coke users to describe the "thrill" of the drug and why they went straight. Every one described a sensation of power, of feeling of being god.and that the withdrawal was pure agony, and being the reason they quit using.
3. I just wonder how many school shooters are users, current, or in withdrawals?

I get it now. 17 days in Hawaii at $25 grand a week for the house, plus all expenses paid by the US Taxpayers is really the epitome of living a boring worthless life. However the arrogance and self centeredness these people have on display every day just add insult to injury to the rest of us little people out here. I heard part of a Martin Luther King speech yesterday. The man was leading a purpose driven life and fundamentally transforming this country into a country where racism was non existent. However this bored President is like a black plague in this country and doing every thing in it´s power to promote and perpetuate racism that it is anything but boring. Ohmuzbois purpose drive in life is his Tee shot on the first.

As far as pot use is concerned, the use of pot creates a blank area in maturity. It is equal to the amt of time you toke. I know it is not everybody but it is most. They are growing up on our dime.
Obama acts like an early teenager. Even Steve Kroft was astounded at Obama giggling thru an interview . He saked him if he had taken a cold pill.
Never forget who he says he is. Do not give him the-benefit-of-the-doubt. Americans haven ever come up against these

Contrast Barry with JFK, and his wonderful line when he addressed a gathering of luminaries in the White House, that so much intelligence and talent in this one place equaled only when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.
Can´t imagine Barry having such perspective.

MOKPO/JINDO, South Korea — Divers searching for survivors of a capsized South Korean ferry saw three bodies floating through a window of a passenger cabin on Saturday but were unable to retrieve them, the coastguard said, hours after the ship´s captain was arrested. The ferry, carrying 476 passengers, many of them schoolchildren, and crew, capsized on Wednesday on a journey from the port of Incheon to the southern holiday island of Jeju. Some 174 people have been rescued and hopes were fading for those still missing. The divers saw the bodies in a submerged cabin where many of the children

With the Chicago weather finally getting a little nicer, Chris Anderssen wanted to grill some burgers outside for a group of family and friends. When she got to the meat aisle at her local Jewel-Osco supermarket, a case of sticker shock made her change the menu: extra lean ground beef was $4.99 a pound. "Five adults, four teenagers, that´s a lot of hamburger to buy," said Anderssen, a 42-year-old mother of two who works as an office manager. She bought chicken instead for $2.99 a pound. Retail beef and pork prices reached all-time highs last month, according to Bill Hahn, agricultural

TOPEKA, Kan. — If expanding the guest list to include Michelle Obama at graduation for high school students in the Kansas capital city means fewer seats for friends and family, some students and their parents would prefer the first lady not attend. A furor over what the Topeka school district considers an honor has erupted after plans were announced for Obama to address a combined graduation ceremony for five area high schools next month an 8,000-seat arena. For some, it was the prospect of a tight limit on the number of seats allotted to each graduate. For others, it was

Is Harry Reid unpopular enough to become an election issue for races nationally? A GOP incumbent in North Carolina is trying to find out. Stuart Rothenberg reports in his Roll Call blog: The 30-second spot, titled “Meddling,” accuses Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., of “trying to fool Republican voters, meddling in our primary to get a weak opponent for Kay Hagan.” (Video) The North Carolina Senate race is rated Toss-up/Tilt Democrat by Rothenberg Political Report/Roll Call, in part, because of uncertainty in the GOP primary.

Some advice for Democratic candidates from consultants: Don´t use the word "recovery" in your speeches. Associated Press: Election-year memo to Democratic candidates: Don´t talk about the economic recovery. It´s a political loser. So say Democratic strategists in a blunt declaration that such talk skips over "how much trouble people are in, and doesn´t convince them that policymakers really understand or are even focusing on the problems they continue to face." In addition, Stan Greenberg, James Carville and others wrote that in head-to-head polling tests the mere mention of the word "recovery" is trumped by a Republican assertion that the Obama

Atlanta Braves legend Hank Aaron is reportedly "upset" and "bitter" because he feels that readers -- not the reporter who wrote the story -- took his comments that implied those who opposed President Barack Obama´s policies now wear "neckties and starched shirts" instead of KKK hoods out of context. And the reporter who wrote the story is claiming Aaron should not have to apologize for something he never said because Aaron was talking about CEOs, American society, and corporate America and not referring to a political party. "Acts of espionage and terrorism against the United States and our allies are unquestionably problems of the utmost gravity, and I share the Congress´s concern that individuals who have engaged in such activity may use the cover of diplomacy to gain access to our Nation," Obama said in his signing statement.

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn.
