Colorado gunman Karl Pierson, who seriously injured a 17-year-old girl when he opened fire at his school, supported tougher gun laws. The 18-year-old, who had been dropped from the debate team, was said to have had strong views on politics and gun control, classmates said. Pierson was also allegedly suspended from the school in September for making threats against the team coach, Tracy Murphy, believed to have been the target for Friday´s attack. ´He had very strong beliefs about gun laws and stuff,´ junior Abbey Skoda told the Denver Post. The paper reported that Pierson had once posted an image on Facebook with the

So far, all of these young shooters have espoused liberal views...so why is it conservatives get blamed? Liberal Democrats are responsible for all this mayhem, right? Oh, that´s right it is more NUANCED than this.

#3- I´ve noticed that you constantly refer to the ´law´ in your posts regarding mental illness. I´m curious as to what laws you would want in place to deal with a situation such as this and other recent cases.

The only thing that can stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun.

We can certainly try to deal with solutions BEFORE someone enters the school, but if those fail, we must have measure to protect our children AFTER an armed intruder enters the school.

The key moment that should have sent up red flags in all this was the time that he returned to the school after being suspended exhibiting anger and making threats. Once that happened the school authorities should have taken whatever action was necessary to get him out of school and not allow him to return to school until after he had been evaluated by mental health professionals.

Most reports are also dancing around the fact that he killed himself when he knew the only other firearm in the building was headed his way. He was dead in under two minutes of starting his rampage because an armed deputy was on site.

The person giving the press conference stressed over and over that the ´resource officer´ was UNARMED.

Agenda driven press conference. He pretended to know nothing about the previous threat to the debate coach or the suspension.

Most of us who have found our way to early Denver webites know more about this killer than the so called authorities are willing to admit.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

I did not just come up with that.... This kid acted on his beliefs to ban all guns, by proving what guns do in the hands of a liberal. This is why they want ALL of us to have none..... because THEY ARE UNSTABLE.

I have to wonder now what autopsy will discover... what drugs were in his system. Psychotropics? Ritalin?

Time will tell, and hopefull Miss Claire will recover fully. My prayers are with her and her family.... no more energy wasted on yet another liberal misfit.

This situation has been whipped up the LSM and liberals in yet another attempt to take away our guns.
On a stronger note, if all teachers were required to carry guns, school shootings would stop immediately.

BEIJING - Chinese President Xi Jinping urged the air force to adopt an integrated air and space defence capability, in what state media on Tuesday called a response to the increasing military use of space by the United States and others. While Beijing insists its space program is for peaceful purposes, a Pentagon report last year highlighted China´s increasing space capabilities and said Beijing was pursuing a variety of activities aimed at preventing its adversaries from using space-based assets during a crisis. Fears of a space arms race with the United States and other powers mounted after China blew up one of

Washington -- With the White House asserting that Russia is stoking instability in eastern Ukraine, President Barack Obama is once again faced with the complicated reality of following through on his tough warnings against overseas provocations. Obama has vowed repeatedly to enact biting sanctions against Russia´s vital economic sectors if the Kremlin tries to replicate its actions in Crimea, the peninsula it annexed from Ukraine, elsewhere in the former Soviet republic. Despite those warnings, Russian President Vladimir Putin appears to be testing Obama´s limits, instigating protests in eastern Ukraine, the White House says, and massing tens of thousands of troops on

By the end of this year, it’s estimated that 300 physicians will commit suicide. While depression amongst physicians is not new—a few years back, it was named the second-most suicidal occupation—the level of sheer unhappiness amongst physicians is on the rise. Simply put, being a doctor has become a miserable and humiliating undertaking. Indeed, many doctors feel that America has declared war on physicians—and both physicians and patients are the losers. Not surprisingly, many doctors want out. Medical students opt for high-paying specialties so they can retire as quickly as possible. Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
