What Will It Take?
PJ Media, by David Solway

Original Article

Let me begin with a categorical statement that, given current events and recent political history, can be easily defended: Barack Hussein Obama is a willful, indoctrinated child of the Left with strong Islamic sympathies who is not fit to govern. Indeed, he would not be fit to govern Lower Slobovia, let alone the United States of America. Obama is a historic disaster of the first magnitude and, if not restrained, he will see to the irrevocable decline of the country which foolishly elected him, leaving the world on the brink of a conflict — or in the midst of one — whose repercussions cannot be underestimated. Accompanying the undeniable havoc

A Must Read. If only our elected GOP representatives could speak so clearly and so passionately about the threat to America that is Barack Obama. If only they could find the cojones to explain Lightbringer´s true intentions to the electorate, as Mr. Solway does here. If only...

He does not belong anywhere near the WH, much less in it. The past five years have been surreal. I keep saying I feel like I´m living in the twilight zone, because I do. This is CRAZY. It is still difficult to comprehend how "normal" Americans could possibly vote for him. I know that many "votes" were fraudulent, yet an alarming number of people voted for him. Most of us know some of them. I lay the blame largely on the media and the education system, but mostly on the moral decline of our society. The truth is still there for those of us who seek it.

I agree. A Must Read! Print! Email to friends!
Read Nathanial Hawthorne´s short story "Feathertop". It is the story of a scarecrow who was brought to life by a witch. She turned it into a handsome young man and sent him into a town that was taken in by his charm and good looks. The Mayor wanted him to marry his daughter and threw a big party to introduce the young couple. As they were dancing and laughing, someone caught a glimpse of the young man in a mirror. It was the image of what the young man had been hiding; he was nothing but a scarecrow. It is time for the MSM to look into the mirror of Obama´s past.

Everyone should read it in its entirety.

Can´t understand our "normal" Americans could support this guy? What´s even more terrifying to me is that I personally know some folks who, even, now support him! Had two friends just post to Facebook that they like Obama, particularly his support of "marriage equality." Yet, both these people are Christian people who should know better than most that nothing he has done reflects any Christian values whatsoever! I´m really beginning to wonder if there isn´t a supernatural element involved related to preparation for the end times!

FTA "One must hope that America will come to its collective senses before it is too late. But I am afraid that it will take nothing less than a major catastrophe, a fiscal implosion that takes the “food” out of food stamps, coupled with more high-casualty terrorist attacks both abroad and on its own soil, leading to the eruption of civil unrest and the possible impeachment of the most destructive president in the entire pageant of American history"

#5 I took your advice and now am so depressed. I just don´t see any way out of the destruction obama is doing. Speaker Boner and Paul Ryan have now funded obamacare for years and are eager to pass amnesty. They are taking advice from Nancy Pelosi how to accomplish that legislation. We re being governed by a leftist communist minority and the Constitution is now nothing more than a piece of paper on display at the Smithsonian. God help us but we as a country have run Him off.

The path this nation is on is unsustainable. This is Cloward Piven taken to all levels on the part of the Obamboozler and his handlers. I too am fearful of the logical conclusion that David outlines:
" - it will take nothing less than a major catastrophe, a fiscal implosion..."
But my greatest fear is when it happens (not if), it will give a permanent foothold for the marxists to declare marshal law and ultimately take over. We are so divided, one of the hallmarks of this administration, that I fear we no longer have the unity to fight against it. I pray that is not true!

I will never believe he was honestly elected for his second term. Half the west was still voting when that Maddow thing proclaimed Obama as the winner - at 60 p.m. California time. As Matthews said, "thank god for hurricane Sandy." I think they gathered up all the electoral votes in the small states (and not honestly)that were reeling from the hurricane, made the number needed to win, and called an end to the election. As for people ignoring what is going on, I think next year, early on, when they lose their health care or can no longer afford to pay for it, they might start paying attention.

If the RNC had half a brain, which they don´t, and if they were not so focused on destroying conservatives and the Tea Party, they would send this out to every home in America. This should be the basis of the 2014 elections to "save" America from what the fools amongst us have done. Don´t waste this!

Excellent and very, very scary. When you read something this well written which reflects what you´re thinking, the impact is heavy.

But I am afraid that it will take nothing less than a major catastrophe, a fiscal implosion that takes the “food” out of food stamps, coupled with more high-casualty terrorist attacks both abroad and on its own soil, leading to the eruption of civil unrest and the possible impeachment of the most destructive president in the entire pageant of American history... before America emerges from its devastating slumber. Assuming, of course, that it ever does, or that a path to recovery will still be possible.

This is why so many people are depressed, angry and ready to toss weak politicians overboard: All our lives are negatively affected by this Administration and by the utter lack of honor and honesty.

I never thought I´d live to see this. I am often sorry I have.

Great question, but I found the article as a whole lacking, as it was just another recap of what most of us here have already known for years, and aside from a couple of vague possibilities, no real answer or prognosis was proffered. When writing opinion pieces like this, look into your crystal ball and tell me what you think is going to happen, otherwise you´ve wasted ink and my time.

That´s a must reads for today.
What I see is in a once great nation is the ignorance that abounds from youths and coffee shop intellects who don´t get it. They are dimwits who remain clueless about the United States government and the Constitution.
History is dead.
Like all wars the percentage of engaged persons who do the actual fighting is far less than the support that is given them. We are facing a tyrannical government that is so foul to the citizenry that even the liberal dimwits are beginning to question the actions moving against it.

As I read through this article my heart was broken for this country and its people. To think that this great nation has been brought to its knees by such a liar and con man is almost inconceivable. I weep for the generations who follow and may never know the greatness of this country. The spirit of freedom, confidence, and benevolence may be a thing of the past. The pride of being an American lost forever all because of the godless philosophy of progressivism.

Every word in this article confirmed to me that we, indeed, are at a pivotal time in this nation. We must dig deep and find the resolve to fight the cancer that is progressivism. We can´t look to Washington to do that because too many of our Republican politicians have sold out. The only hope we have is "we the people". It is going to take each one of us to get into the fight. ALL the good people of this country must stand and make their voices heard. The early colonists stood and fought against enormous odds to create this great nation, we can´t be the generation that lets that hard fought freedom slip through its fingers.

You reap what you sow. This is Biblical, but it is the truth. The entire country is in the process of sowing. The Communist progressives in this country are sowing the seeds of their own destruction and sowing with it, the seeds of ours.

There is no hope UNLESS the good people of this country rise up in the next election and VOTE. There is no HOPE, unless good Americans run for office. And there is no HOPE unless we use the constitution and all of the rights we have as citizens to undo this mess.

Everyone who is unhappy needs to make their voice heard and LOUDLY tell the world we have had enough. Throw the bum out!!!! Legally, ethically and morally. We will recover, but it is going to take a long time.

While ignoring Bible prophecy for the minute, Solway hits the nail on the head when he says that America is willingly transforming itself into a "quasi European basket case".

And while those of us of the resistance who understand what is happening, the transformation has been a work in progress for almost 100 years. Today, the radicals have taken a stealth approach to completing the transformation. No wonder nobody chooses to notice.

Solway´s comment that it will probably take a major event to wake us (the sheep, really) is sadly probably very true.

When the things we are accustomed to and take for granted such as open belief in the creator, food, water, money, energy, communications, health, housing, and the will to succeed are all taken away or controlled by the State, Americans will finally wake up - but, much pain and misery will follow before we can right the ship. Can it be done?? You betcha. Maybe it´s just me, just prefer to straighten out what´s left of our country now while we can still enjoy what we have.

It´s funny though, an initial and very effective first step is show up at elections and vote, da&$ it.

FTA: "But I am afraid that it will take nothing less than a major catastrophe, a fiscal implosion that takes the “food” out of food stamps . . . "

Right there!

That´s where the "revolution" that everyone talks about will come from --the Takers, not the Makers, not L.Dotters.

When the fiscal implosion comes, the Makers will do what they´ve always done: buckle down and keep on plowing to survive.

The Takers will riot and steal and rob and kill for what they´ve been told all their lives is their RIGHTS: a right to food and housing and big screen televisions --and medical care for the common cold.

I fear the Takers as much as I fear the Government. Both are as dangerous as a skillet full of drunk rattlesnakes.

Anyone want to have a further discussion about why the government is stockpiling ammunition, or is it becoming real clear?

The nation is going to reap what its sown.

A fundamental objective of 0bama and those who brought him to power has been to shift the definitions and perceptions of what is normal in this country. A goal for which they have consistently and successfully worked for five years. The desensitization of the masses that occurs is their ultimate political prize. Article II, 22nd Amendment will all blow away like dust in front of that.
The greatest disservice that the "law of the land" RINOs have done to this country is that they consciously or otherwise have aided and abetted this process.
Hence, RINOs first then the ´Rats in that order, has to be the goal.

Lately have been worrying less about "saving America" and more about my own self preservation. I really don´t know what to do, but almost everything I do factors in the apocalyptic vision Mr. Solway foresees toward the end of this piece.

I have given up hoping for leadership who can save America. I want to find a leader who can tell me/us how to avoid going down this the rat-infested ship. I would love for some state or states to secede from the union, but that´s not going to happen.

I still would like to know what became of our good friend "photoonist" and I sure miss seeing him/her(?) around here. But I am also starting to think for my own well-being, it may be close to time where I stop following events so closely and try to live a happier life (off the grid). Watching the implosion of the country and the betrayal of the leadership on "our side" is taking its toll on me, and for what?

A insightful must read article.

I am a staunch conservative in all areas and have been aware of this danger, as many of you have, from the beginning. I had high hopes in the 2012 election that were smashed. However, I still know many conservatives who didn´t vote for Obama, dislike all of his policies and believe he is a thug but still don´t understand how critical the situation is. Without the media calling he and his regime out it makes it hard.

All my life I have heard people say that the next election is the nations most important and I haven´t but I do now--2016. Vote, vote don´t stay home because you are mad at your represented...it would be like cutting your nose off to spite your face.

FTA: “[Obama] is possessed of a certain low cunning that makes him politically formidable. Obama’s skill…is to figure out what the American people want to see and hear, and then give it to them, while doing something entirely different.”

#27 I too have wondered what happened to Photoonist. He/she was such a valuable contributor to the Lucianne site. This is one of the most profound and terrifying articles I have read, and like the rest of you I have read thousands of them. He condensed into one article all of the reasons why 0bama is the most dangerous and destructive president this country has ever seen. Unfortunately, he didn´t offer any solutions as to how to solve the horrific problems we are confronted with. A man with so much insight and intellectual brilliance could have set forth at least some ideas. I feel sad, helpless and frustrated with the lack of ability to do anything about this. The behavior of the Republicans further exacerbates these feelings. I pray harder than I have ever before in my life that we and our nation survive and that there will come a time when 0bama is severely punished for his criminal acts.

Thank you, Mr. Solway, for your wisdom and your passion in laying out the facts in such a profound way. In a way, I wish you were some nutcase just trying to get America all riled up. But, unfortunately, everything you say in this article is painfully, frighteningly true.
America´s problems are so overwhelming, and growing in number and intensity by the day.

I could feel, reading this, the intensity of your beliefs in how far we have fallen and how deep a hole we are in. What´s it going to take for ´even the democrats´ to clearly see that more destruction and danger are imminent? This is not, or shouldn´t be, a partisan concern.

Bewilderment, fright and frustration are only three emotions I feel at this moment - solely because of what Obama is doing, with glee, to our beloved county. Thank you for giving me hope that peaceful, but firm and decisive action will take place - soon I hope - to slow down and stop this disastrous, out-of-control, speeding train we´re all on, heading toward a cliff.

The evidence is beyond dispute."

While I do not believe that 0bama is the Devil himself, but rather this Century´s follower of the Dark Master, we brought him on ourselves. I have maintained that our Country changed (for the worst) when we allowed Roe vs. Wade to become the law of the land. It is the ultimate cancer that is killing our soul and condemning this "once" formidable Nation down the road to Perdition as these innocents of God are snuffed out without the protections we afford more to the animals we eat. Until we admit to this atrocity and stop it, we will not even begin to be lead through the desert to cleanse ourselves of this greatest betrayal, refusal to "love our neighbor as we love ourselves."

#30, I respectfully disagree. 2012 was the nation´s most important election, and we blew it. We had an extremely qualified, decent man running against this disaster of a president, but he wasn´t good enough for some of us. Combine that with massive voter fraud, and you have what we have. We are now living with the results of our failure and seeing things progress before our very eyes that so many of us warned about. We simply had to win the 2012 election to save this nation, and we lost. Like many on this thread, it is possible Mr Solway doesn´t have any solutions to offer.

I´m with #22. The Liberals have had an agenda to take over our culture and government for more than 100+ years. They´ve made no bones about it either and we´ve let them flourish and take away our values as a country. The first big change, I can remember, was eliminating school prayer. That was a huge breakthrough for the Left. So here we are some fifty years later wringing our hands...what to do.
My question is, after all these years, what´s the agenda of the right? Smaller government, lower taxes and a strong military. Sorry, that doesn´t make the average person excited. We need to make our message visually appealing to the voting public and consumer friendly. The old Republican jargon needs to be repackaged. This week, for instance, the topic about the budget and escalating debt fell on deft ears...it means nothing to the average American. It has no voter impact. The American voter doesn´t care about these things. However, they will start to care when they go to see their doctor in 2014. If we focus on this one issue with visual solutions, again, not the usual worn out rhetoric we´ve been hearing for the past several years from the Right, i.e., "the free market will give you more choices." This may be true but the solution is not good enough...to the average voting drone, this means nothing. Those of us on the Right want to see and hear sharp contrasts and examples in 3 D living color not empty words that will get buried by the media.

Mr. Solway writes what most of us have read and thought for years. All of this was predicted by Stanley Kurtz and even Charles Krauthammer, both of whom began writing about Obama´s lack of credentials and history as soon as his candidacy was announced in 2007.

FrontPage had a remarkable piece in May of 2008 that drew something like 5 or 6 Replies. Alas, it had a boring headline and looked too long so the one-graph posters scooted right past it. Here it is again if you´d like to give it a try after reading Solway:

How did this happen? How did Obama get elected?

He hid political leanings, but the information was out there never the less. People let themselves be fooled. People were greedy and thought they could get something for nothing. Alot of people have been trained to hate. Its hard to say if there are enough people left to fix things. Not sure how to fix things. Just remember that Obama is a reflection of our nation. So sad.

The Democrats march in lock step behind him. The Republicans seem more and more to have sold out. Much of the media has turned into propagandists. Alot of groups have ´bought´ our government. The level of corruption in this nation is higher than I have ever seen in my life.

The corruption in this nation is ´competent´ enough to nullify any form of resistance. I hope I am wrong, but I don´t see anything getting fixed.

What other options are there? Leave? Where too? How much would it cost? Cast your lot with the thieves? Doubt that will work.

#47 cont´d:

It begins:

Americans are well acquainted with presidential candidate Barack Obama’s legendary pledges to bring “change” to America’s political and social landscape. (For example, see here and here and here.) Indeed, “Change We Can Believe In” is the slogan that adorns the homepage of his campaign website and so many of the placards displayed by the supporters who attend his speaking engagements. His Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, is also well practiced at issuing calls for change. Her “Change and Experience” ad campaign was but an outgrowth of her 1993 declaration, as First Lady, that “remolding society is one of the great challenges facing all of us in the West.” Most Americans are unaware, however, that when Obama and Clinton speak of “change,” they mean change in the sense that a profoundly significant, though not widely known, individual -- Saul Alinsky -- outlined in his writings two generations ago.

Alinsky helped to establish the confrontational political tactics, which he termed “organizing,” that characterized the 1960s and have remained central to all subsequent revolutionary movements in the United States. Both Obama and Clinton are committed disciples of Alinsky’s very specific strategies for “social change.”

Go on. Read it. Print it off. Send it on.

But when it was published and posted here, it was pretty much ignored. What does that tell you? If we ignore this kind of information, what about those we call the lo-fos?

The fact that Obama was not criticized or dismissed for his promise to lower the sea levels tells me that he is an idol. Idolatry is placing a mere creature in the place of God believing and hoping in them for things only God can do. He is not particularly smart but the population is particularly stupid to cling to his many promises to be a universal provider. These are no more possible than the sea level promise yet many people cling to them. Also: Voting is not enough because there is no real choice. The GOP do not oppose Obama they just want to take their place in the ruling elite. Long before the election all freedom loving citizens must support the candidates that are attacked most by the establishment. Find a candidate of good character and values who does not come from the establishment. People like Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Rand Paul and others. Don´t give a dime to the RNC rather support the best candidates so the mere voters have a real choice in the election.

Good compendium. Let´s not forget the true depth and breadth of this scandal. Obama was ushered in using forged birth documents and not one DC politician raised a finger to resist. Sheriff Joe has new evidence that he will release in March and says the new evidence will be major. This will go down in history as a scandal for the ages.

Worried about losing control of the Senate, the perpetrators of this fraud are taking it to the next level. Soros has now moved into the White House in the person of Podesta. The Senate is packing appellate courts with fellow travelers. The war on the TEA Party has been launched with the GOP giddily crossing over to the other side to assist.

The leftists in power will go all out to steal the 2014 election. It will be an all out assault using the same compromised departments as in 2012. If a department has a 3 or 4 letter acronym it will be used (from the DHS to the IRS).

I agree with one thing. It will take a Magnitude 10 disaster to wake the electorate to the need to change course.

These are going to be a long three years.

FTA..."America elected not to be America anymore".
I wonder most of the time anymore whether or not most people even understand what being an American is actually about. I don´t think they do. That being said, changing their minds about who to vote for will remain difficult. They actually do vote for the people that they believe are doing what is right for THEIR country.
I will start to have some hope when articles like this are published in the New York Times. Until then nothing will change.
Obamacare may turn out to be the straw that crushes the camel. It will affect even the most staunch supporters where it will get the most attention. In their wallet. Fiscal responsibility, not social issues is the only way to set the ship back on course, with the latter following the former, with little outside influence.
It is difficult to step back and see the big picture, but with the economy back on track other issues will resolve themselves.
Think of it this way. If men and women had to work less to pay their taxes, they would be capable of spending more time with their families. This is the type of thing that matters. Leftists have most people on the defensive with slogans like the "War on women". In your small circle you may just shrug it off as nonsense, but to the low-info voter, that is all it takes to make them vote for the other guy.
Yep. I am a single issue voter. I will vote for the person that stops spending us into oblivion. That is it. That is all I need to know about them. The end.

Sorry for second post but I thought this was important because of what we read in this article. I heard this on Fox News during one of their business segments. It just made me sick. There are already two bills written to eliminate 0bamacare and replace it with national health care. In part it: Repeals requirements of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) related to health insurance coverage, including requirements concerning state health insurance exchanges....Establishes the Office of Primary Care and Prevention Research within the Office of the Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH)....Recommends the Internal Revenue Code to impose on individuals: (1) a health care income tax, and (2) an income tax surcharge on amounts of modified adjusted gross income exceeding $1 million. Imposes an excise tax on securities transactions and allows an income tax credit for such taxes.

I had to take a break while reading the article, not because it´s long, but because it´s SO depressing...and all TRUE! As long as we have the obama butt-kissers in the media, nothing is going to change, only get worse.

I´m still in favor of dividing this country in two, give the liberal/socialist/communists/ muzzies/crazies/perpetual moochers and the victim crowd half and the sane people the other half. They can enjoy their Utopia and we can get on with our lives.

This all started many years ago and culminated in the Obama Presidency. Some people have seen the light but I fear not enough. We, our parents and even grandparents have let liberal cultural rot take over from our childrens education to our senior citizens who are fiercely protective of what they think they are entitled to. I don´t know how you wean people from government dependency except to let the country go bankrupt. At that point it will be a toss-up between radical Islam and the Chinese. We have much to fear from both.

This article points out why I have repeatedly and consistently called for those who love America to rise up and have another revolution. All to way back to Thomas Jefferson, there have been those that have stated that when the government becomes too tyrannical, it is the DUTY of free men (and women) to rise up and throw off that tyranny. Well, can anyone argue that we are not under tyranny right now? However, is we are going to rise up, the time is now when we still have a large amount of Americans that own firearms and the ammo for them. And personally, I don´t believe that, under the circumstances, that the entire military would turn on it´s own citizens, even if Obozo orders them to. NO soldier, sailor, or airman is required to obey an illegal order. And ALL of them are volunteers, not conscripts. They love America too.

This so eloquently states what we have known, read and written about for years. Sometimes the right messenger needs to come along to say what has been said before and sometimes it needs to be said at the right moment. Mr. Solway sure seems to have said it the right way. If I had the road map it would be no secret.

I think that if we expect others to wake up we are doomed. If there is an answer, and it is to come in time, I believe it will come from those already well awake. We need to band together in a way and on a level we haven´t seen in a long time if ever. I think it starts by laying down our differences and rallying to the essentials of the constitution, limited government, rule of law, sovereignty, individual freedom and responsibility. We won´t exist to debate gay marriage abortion or other very important issues of the day if we don´t first rally around and fight for the very core and win it back.

What will it take to finally rid America of this leftist reign of terror know as Obama?...For starters, we must somehow find a way to expose the undocumented fraud´s birth, passport, medical, selective service, social security, kindergarten, grade school, high school, college and law school records, currently being held under the strictest lock & key security, to the light of day.

Next steps, proceed with impeachment, incarceration and, finally, deportation back to the teeming streets of Jakarta, Indonesia.

"When will Republicans...." do such and such.

or

"If only the RNC had...." this or that.

Folks, wake up. It´s us against them. The Republicans are just as bad as the Democrats, with a very few exceptions.

Stop calling for Republicans to do something. They won´t. Now its up to us. The moment we´ve all been dreading is upon us. It is time to recall every single politician in office. Force your state legislature to begin the recall process. We OWN this right. All we have to do is exercise it. There´s no need to wait until an election. They work for us! Let´s remind them of that fact.

Yes, this is another well-written summary, but there are no new revelations. Consider the pre-election movie ´2016´ and thousands of other books, articles, blogs, etc. that have covered the same territory. We have already recognized that the country is in terrible trouble and, while it is a good thing to inform more people, it is time to shift our focus from talking to doing. Let´s start planning and begin taken the actions necessary to save ourselves and our children. Our founding fathers were in the minority, but they shaped the future for everyone. As someone who personified the American spirit in the face of great adversity once said: "Let´s roll."

Americans began giving away their freedoms for real before Obama arrived. From FDR to LBJ to Nixon/Ford and the Bush "New World Order" to the Bush43 "Patriot Act" and bail outs. Obamacare and all that is nothing more than an extention - one about which most Americans remain in denial. We spawned a soft police state after 9/11...made first responders and the military unconditional "heroes" while they militarized local police forces and turned cold war spy agencies (including military assets) further toward domestic spying, to which Americans readily agreed. Americans largely believe "government" is the font of everything, the fair dealer, creator of universal prosperity, maker of jobs and source of a peaceful, cooperative society. Obama is just an extension of a long line of Democrats and Republicans peddling snake oil as they open borders, fail to enforce our laws, print money, and insinuate big government into virtually every corner of American private life - and tell us all its okay. Well, it´s not.

While I do believe that the "volcano" will in fact blow, and that such an event is indeed necessary, I also submit that the ultimate result is inevitable. Namely, "America 2.0" rather than the "USSA 1.0."

Why? America isn´t just a geographic location or a financial/political ideology...it´s a basic human concept and state of mind...the unquenchable desire to be free. It´s in our DNA. And people from all over the world who have that gene in their DNA risk life, limb, and treasure to come here in order to be among all the others who likewise have it in their DNA. I know, because I am one of them.

No, this truth cannot be stamped out. No despot, no corrupt bureaucracy, and no subversive and unjust laws and dictates can indefinitely suppress this.

America, the real America that is in our DNA, will re-emerge.

By 2012 Obama’s lack of a paper trail, his craftiness and his penchant for deceit should have been blatantly obvious to any sensible and mature American voter, irrespective of class, race or gender.

That´s why it´s over and never coming back. It´s not his fault he is allowed to continue his tyranny. It will always be the fault of those who elected him and nothing else.

What Will It Take?

Sadly, the only thing that can bring back a Constitution based representative republic is an armed revolution by Christians who DO 2 Chronicles 7:14. Anything else is a rah-rah pipe dream. I know you won´t take the time to do it, but if you are a believer, read Romans 1 and the first verse of Romans 2. There are three promises at the end of chapter one, all promised by God for a reason. We have more than satisfied all those reasons described in chapter one. When the nation and its people are on the wrong side of the verb, "to give", it is over. All the Tea Parties and famous duck hunters won´t cut it. It ain´t me that made that promise. Read Romans 1 and find out Who did.

After several days of a fierce eye infection that turned clearly defined objects into drifting blurs, I greatly appreciate that this magnificent article is the first thing I´ve read (somewhat) normally this week.

As noted, David Solway is a Canadian poet; his prose blazes with fulgurations of poetic grace and insight. Conjoined as our two nations are at the 49th Parallel, citizens of both have a clear common window onto the lives their neighbors are living.

The carnage in America is only beginning. Same as Solway, I fear that the only way to rid ourselves of the rapidly metastasizing Superstate is to live through a social, economic, and strategic meltdown made inevitable by three generations (and counting) of, mostly, Democrat vote buying with taxpayer money. Not that the squishy stodgy Establishment Republicans mustn´t shoulder their own share of the blame for what´s coming. The words in cahoots apply to them.

Do American voters, legal and illegal (there are probably fifteen million illegals registered and voting since Clinton´s Motor Voter essentially mandated it), have the fuzzy but clearing vision to see the inevitable outcome of this fanatical political misdirection? Will Americans be able to slam on the brakes, hang a U, and floor it in the opposite direction? Although I´m praying for that, I wouldn´t bet on it.

One last thing: I wish there were more freedom loving, pro-Western poets regaling us with their sparkling words of wisdom. Thank you, David Solway!

# 37 You are right the 2012 Presidential election was the most important election in our nations history but we lost it, as you pointed out.

Presidential elections are much easier to have fraud committed than state elections because of magnatude of this single event. Congressional elections are much easier to oversee because they are so much more manageable. The 2016 Congraasial elections will be huge because we can possibly take the Senate and we are much more be apt to be on a level playing field than in the Presidential election. The msm doesn´t carry nearly the big stick in these elections. Pray.

There are two options:

1. Historic meltdown when we run out of other people´s (or other generations´) money. The end result will be turning the country into 3rd world status.

2. The other people, especially young people, realize they´re about to get screwed and rise up in revolt.

#2 didn´t happen in Europe because there are practically no young people except for immigrants.

What would the Emperor being doing differently if he were an enemy of the USA, set on destroying it in any way he can?

What will it take for Conservatives to realize that the GOP has been an enabler of this Emperor?

What will it take for Conservatives to swallow hard and form a new party of their own?

I believe Ayn Rand gave us the key that shuts down the totalitarians in “Atlas Shrugged”. Consent. The statists crave the consent of their victims so deeply they will use coercion, force, and violence to pry it from them. Our ultimate weapon against the cabal is to withhold our consent by refusing to comply with their edicts.

We must decide for ourselves how we will effect our non-compliance in our daily lives, what risks we are willing to take, and at what point will we make our last stand. An example would be the implementation of the EPA expansion of the Clean Water Act. A property owner receives a written notice of the new regulations that may require some type of “registration” or “permit” that will impact their water rights. A drone will fill out the paperwork. A patriot will ignore all notices, and be too busy to take the follow-up phone calls. Hide in plain sight. Play for time.

Use the culture of the bureaucracy against itself. The government workers who implement the policies of the zealots are just regular people trying to earn a living in a soulless and oppressive environment. That is why they slack off doing their jobs. Find a place in the bottom of their in-basket. It takes years to plough through the responses and finally get to those that don’t self-identify. If there is a physical visit to your property play ignorant and grateful for the visit. Offer them cookies and send them away. And still do not comply. How far to go? Ruby Ridge? That will be up to you.

The eventual nation-wide success of this strategy, a sort of reverse Cloward-Priven, will depend on the numbers of patriots that still possess the American DNA.

The writer has listed the destruction sought and wrought by Obama. It is all true, but the article is hardly unique. I mean we read this article once a month, do we not?

There is nothing new here but the flavor of invective, which I agree with 100%, and while it is delicious, is hardly unique. Haven´t Krauthamer, Davis-Hanson, and others done so many times.

Also, no offense David Solway, but you need a good editor if you are to be taken seriously as a conservative writer. -Make that a tutor.

OBTW, it is the culture war we have lost. That is how all these insane things can be done with the approval of a large number of people we otherwise consider intelligent.

"By 2012 Obama’s lack of a paper trail, his craftiness and his penchant for deceit should have been blatantly obvious to any sensible and mature American voter, irrespective of class, race or gender." But instead of sensible and mature American voters, we have democrats. They already demonstrated that they were "...ready to be taken in by a smooth-talking, shape-changing, confidence-man" when they elected BJ Clinton twice. The democrats give us the sleaziest and most incompetant people they can find, the Clintons, Obamas, Reno, Sebelius, Napolitano, Sharpton, etc., all the while telling us how wonderful they are.

And most Americans are not even aware of the dire threat to future freedom that is Common Core Federal/State Education Standards. This is a nationwide program adopted by 46 of the states, governors bribed by "stimulus" money. It was begun by Bill Ayers and Barack Obama in Chicago, and furthered by Bill Gates, Arne Duncan and Geo. Soros. It sounds lovely, but is really a propaganda program to turn our children into "progressives." Half the states are trying to opt out because it will bankrupt them in short order, to meet the requirements of computers, trainers, testing. Jeb and Neil Bush are into the money, too, so remember that when your letter for donations arrives.

Their side goes for the throat; our side writes children´s books for children who will grow up in a dictatorial society. Nor is there any solution in long-term Constitutional/ legislative strategy. Way too late for high-minded intervention. The only effective solution will not be alluded to on talk radio [which,in the end is just entertainment and barely that anymore] blogs or certainly the few of our representatives who really do "get it".

I´ve been worried about our country for over 30 years. First, it was about the possibility of a coming race war due to non minorities getting fed up with affirmative action. Then, after living behind the Iron Curtain and getting an up close look at the realities of communism, I came home and began to fear that it would take hold here.

I truly though that September 11, 2001 would finally wake everyone up. How wrong I was! I still can´t believe that, just 7 years later, we elected an unknown named Barack Hussein Obama. Could we ( I know, not us LDotters ) as a country possibly be so delusional as to elect someone with an obviously Muslim name in the wake of such a heinous attack on our very soil? Did more than half of the voters really forget all of those people jumping to their deaths from the top floors of the burning towers?

The thought of what it will finally take to wake everyone up is the most terrifying thing I can imagine.

The only thing I can suggest at this point is - PREPARE NOW for what is to come - we´re on the verge of economic collapse, a race war and a civil war - all at the same time. And PRAY.

We are offended by the punk choomer liar in the white house, posing as our leader. He´s not. He is a puppet, a marionette, a stooge, a left-wing extremist, an Alinsky ideologue, a rat, a Cloward-Piven clone....if not for the dumbasses who get to vote at such an early age (it should be 35) and those who hate white people and the corrupt media and corrupt academia...if not for these bubble-headed clowns, Mitt would be successfully rebuilding our country, our economy, our armed forces, and our patriotism.

But we got hoodwinked, the white house was stolen by fraud, the Reid´s and Pelosi´s and Sharpton´s and Jay Carney´s of the loopy left conspired with many others in thug unions and thug ghettos to steal enough votes to narrowly win this last fraudulent election.

I´m tired of waiting for some "dynamic" leader with "chutzpah" enough to sway the corrupt media to stop bashing we good people every damn day in their papers full of lies and agenda.I am angry enough to work with anybody and everybody to get this con man impeached, sent to prison, and to begin to restore everything he has crapped on....are ya with me?

The punctuation in the challenge is skimpy, but after a couple of laps through Solway´s essay, I´d be interested in knowing which sentences offended my colleague´s stylistic sensibilities. The fourth paragraph from the end suffers from what this writer might call the Beanstalk Syndrome (and I´d have written it differently, having learned from my own bouts with the same tendency)--stream of consciousness--but what´s there is quite intelligible. Tell me what wrong I missed. I´m not trying to be sarcastic. Enlighten me.

At any one time hundreds of thousands of us are cocooned in pressurised cabins scything through the cold upper reaches of the troposphere. Soon enough, this figure will rise to a million: a million passengers, flown safely, if not always comfortably, across countries and continents, and with little call for comment. Before engines could lift heavier-than-air machines convincingly off the ground, any attempt at flight had been dangerous, and yet for hundreds of years, adventurers strapped wings to their arms, and leapt off hilltops and towers in the vain hope of flying. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.
